christopher reginald bean 2008-02-15 until 2008-02-17	APK Resort, Patong Beach Quiet position in municipal area. Balcony has 2 a.c. units on it! Pool very, very cold as no sun at any time and very small. Adequate-if you must stay in Paong!	OK
Kelly Pah 2008-02-09 until 2008-02-12	APK Resort, Patong Beach Overall, I am satisfied with this hotel, the room is clean and spacious, shower room is nice, water supply is good. The place is quiet and suitable for family stay, staff were friendly. However, the location of this hotel is difficult to locate, you will need to pay someone there (local people) to bring you there. Do not plan to walk to the beach, you may want to rent a transport vehicle. The hotel provided internet service and you could also buy internet card if you bring your own notebook. Breakfast is buffet style. Good value for money.	Excellent and fast. It will provide you an option if the hotel that you want to book is full, very helpful!
Daniela Manzani 2008-02-07 until 2008-02-11	APK Resort, Patong Beach Questo albergo ha un sapore coloniale....l arrivo spaventa un pò, si passa attraverso una sorta di baraccopoli, ma appena si è davanti all entrata dell hotel si respira un aria che riposta ad antichi sapori....le camere ampie, con bianche tende in canapa mosse dal vento caldo della sera....il panorama dalle terrazze non è gran cosa, ma nell insieme il posto è piacevole e offre la possibilità di un fresco riposo. Con una decina di minuti di camminata si raggiunge il centro, molto vivace fino a tarda notte, per questo si è felici di essere dislocati un pò fuori! Nel complesso, come rapporto qualità prezzo, lo consiglio vivamente, a noi è piaciuto molto!
Adil 2008-02-02 until 2008-02-06	APK Resort, Patong Beach Out of the three hotels we stayed in on our trip this was the worst. The other 2 were excellent. From the moment I entered APK hotel we had problems. They did not have enough saftey deposit boxes to put our passports in. After insisting I needed to put my passports in a safe they finally put it in the hotels safe. This made it a hassle to get things out from the safe or put things in as the guy working at the desks is usually talking and giggling to his mate on the phone so you need to wait for him to finish his chat before being served. The satelite T.V did not work because the owner did not pay the bill. Everytime I asked about it they told me tomorrow. 3 days later still not working so i said to them how bout giving me a dvd player till you sort out the tv. They said to me you have to rent it for 200 baht a night. Firstly this is a rip off as the other hotles we stayed in charged 50 baht a night for a dvd player and secondly I told them i should not have to rent the dvd player since it is their fault our tv channels are not working. They also rent bikes 50 baht more expensive then the other hotels we stayed in. The one good thing about APK hotel is that it had a lift. But we did not use it as the hotel lost power a few times when we were there and i noticed the staff did not check to see if anyone was stuck in the lift so we instead I used the stairs to the 6th level. Overall we did not feel the staff there were helpful or friendly and we definetely wont stay there again.	easy to use

Elise 2008-01-05 until 2008-01-09	APK Resort, Patong Beach Hotel was clean and the room we stayed in was pretty big, with a balcony. Only thing was that the hotel itself is a 15 min walk to the main roads and the beach. It s situated in a little lane amongst houses where the locals live, so it s a bit of a walk from all the action. Breakfast was good and overall our stay was pleasant. The only thing that annoyed us was that the reception staff booked us a taxi to the airport for 600 baht (It shouldn t have cost us that much because from the airport to the hotel when we first got to Patong, it was 400 baht, so they were charging us another 200 more. And the lady was telling us that she ll cancel it if we don t want to pay that much. I know it s not that much money anyway but the annoying thing was that they try to rip you off with as much money as they can just because you re a tourist). If you want to stay closer to the beach and Bangla Road, then try a different hotel as this place was still a fair walk from everything.	sawadee.com is a great website, quick and easy to use, confirmation emails were received pretty quickly and we had no trouble with any of our bookings
Christopher Jones 2007-12-31 until 2008-01-08	APK Resort, Patong Beach Very comfortable hotel with large rooms and an excellent shower !! Friendly and helpfull staff .Some people have said its too far away from Patong center but i found the walk which is about 10 minutes quite pleasent . The only problem is finding it in the first place ! Take a map from the hotel website for the taxi driver,it helps.	Excellent , have used it before and will again , works very well , i like the efficient e-mail correspondence.
Alex G 2007-12-28 until 2008-01-03	APK Resort, Patong Beach APK is good value for money as the breakfast is ok,the rooms are large and the staff were pretty good also..Only downside is that its 15-20 min walk to the beach and the hotel is situated amongst residential neighbourhoods..	Quite efficient...

Richard Austin 2007-01-08 until 2007-01-27	APK Resort, Patong Beach PLEASE NOTE: This is more of a hostel than a hotel. I placed a booking for three whole weeks here almost a year in advance, but began to regret it upon arrival. I was given the room above reception but the noise from the arrivals/departures, guests, taxis, tuk-tuks, motorbikes, shouting, etc. below my balcony was relentless. After several sleepless nights, I spoke to reception who then moved me to the smallest room available at the end of a corridor (so much for booking a year in advance). I eventually moved a third time and discovered immediately that the toilet was broken. Upon reporting this to reception, they had the ordasity to accuse me of breaking it - priceless!!! Although this hotel is in a quiet district and well away from Patong town, escaping the internal noise of the building is a futile excercise. There were people running up and down corridors, from room to room at all hours of the day and night. Loud music and shouting from the room next door and several others. When I rang reception, the man didn t have much understanding of the English language and wasn t interested. On another occasion, upon getting dressed and visting reception, the male member of staff was asleep with his jacket over his head and couldn t be woken. The rooms are very basic and not over-clean (on several occasions I was told that the maid had forgotten to clean my room but would do it tomorrow!), the bathrooms are extremely shabby (even by Thai standards), and could do with updating. The reception staff are surly beyond belief. If you are thinking of booking here, you have been warned. Patong is a fabulous place, I ve been four times and should ve done my homework better. If I were you, I would spend just that little bit more and book alternative accomodation. If this place relies on repeat business then they ve killed my custom stone dead as I wouldn t stay here again if they decided to give me the room free of charge. I used to think Fawlty Towers was a sitcom before I stayed here, now I realise it was actually a hard-hitting documentary!!!	Cannot fault Sawadee.com for booking. Very smooth and easy transaction.
Paul Oneill and Stephen Burns 2007-01-07 until 2007-01-18	APK Resort, Patong Beach i enjoyed my stay at the apk ,the staff were very friendly & helpful,the room was how it looked on the website,it was clean & spacious with a large bed,breakfast was ok.it was in a quiet surrounding with a 10min walk to the busy nightlife,would stay here again & recommend it to anyone.	service on booking was good no problems.
Y 2006-12-29 until 2006-12-31	APK Resort, Patong Beach Rooms were quiet clean, and bed was large. Bathroom and toilet clean. Only a short walk to nightclubs and night life, is in quieter part of town. hotel reception were helpful. a bit over priced, but would stay here again.	sufficient
Hans & Sofia H 2006-12-23 until 2006-12-24	APK Resort, Patong Beach The hotel is a pretty good one. Nice rooms, an OK breakfast and helpful staff. The downside is that NOBODY knows where it is! It´s located outside the touristareas. To get a taxi or Tuk-Tuk to drive there is hard because nobody knows where it is.

Its a 15 minute walk from the beach but transport is no problem if you dont want to walk, it s a couple of minutes in a Tuk Tuk, also a motorcycle taxi stand is nearby. A good value hotel with friendly useful staff. The receptionist was always helpful, booking taxis, arranging for bike hire etc and always with a smile of course!	Easy and efficient.
