Ofer Serfaty 2008-12-26	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach The room was VERY small. we orderd a Baby Bed Cot. they didnt have one ready and until 2 at night they didnt bring one. the service was very BAD and no one speak english there. very far from the beach not like promised and no sea view. the room was derty and old. all hotels in the area from the same kind cost 1/10 of the price for that hotel. we are VERY UN-HAPPY!!!
Feifei 2008-09-26	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach This is such a good deal. The bunglow is spacious, it s hiding behind, you need to go through the zigzag before getting to your room, which is so private and cool. It s between Karon and Kata beach, thus you can choose where to go. It s one street away from the beach, thus is much cheaper, but we don t think sea view matters, as we spend most of the day at the beach, we just want to be relaxed in the room. There s live band everynihgt in the hotel, and a mini golf park in front of it. We enjoyed the stay.	The rate is better than the walk-in rate, even during the low season. We will use sawadee again.
Hattendorf 2008-02-20 until 2008-03-09	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach The Staff are always friendly and obliging. The Room was OK but the Bathroom not the best. The Mirror and Frame was very dirty and not easy to clean because same Paint was sprinkled. The Water was running very slow under the Shower and water-tap. I thing wit more water pressure will be all OK. This belongs only to the Room C014 respectively 2014. There they have to work for better appearance and sanitary. But for my next holiday i will remind of Kata Garden Resort again.	Booking was prompt and correct

We are not satisfied with the staff wich mostly were playing with each other. The staff in the reception were not professional and they speeks very little english, and understand nearly nothing. The cleaners forgot to put in daily bottle water, schampo and bathfoam. We were not satisfied with the cleaning. Dirty bathroom with a pool of water under the washstand. We hope that the direction will change rutines so the staff will be more professional and to take better care of this guesthouse. A great renovation will be needed. I am sorry, I can not recomended this place today for the money you pay for it.	Very good.

Victor Hugo Saavedra 2008-01-03 until 2008-01-05	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach Bungalows are located around a pleasant garden but there is definetely NO VIEW of ocean as other guests are saying. Make sure yuo request a bungalow as far from the front as possible, if you plan to go to sleep before 1 a.m. There is a band playing at the front and if you are a light sleeper it will keep you up until about 1 a.m. Other thant that is an ok place for the money.

Totally 10 young people.Their room was about 500 steps up.lucky their young.The room was not so good Maintained.The Breakfastarea were 30 meters from Main street in Kata.And the personal in the bar was not so interested in what the kids wanted,(our children are 20-23 years old). The girly-boys in the bar were more interested in eachother and were huggin all of the staff,but forgot us, Not so funny.We moved the kids to our hotel instead . .Reception OK.Good thing. The band that played were so bad that we thought there was a karaoke contest.One in the public went up and and sang a tune which was brilliant.Do i need to say moore. The pool is very small with only little sunshine. Move to Cape Panwa.Bye	No problem.
Devinia Hudson 2007-12-27 until 2007-12-30	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach Not very impressed we arrived at 2am to be told the hotel was full and we would have to go somewhere else eventually we were given a room at the Kata garden however the room was only just finished not painted and there were building works going on all around. the rest of our party got moved across the road to an apartment block on day 3 of our stay as again the hotel was fully booked. the pool was nice but very crowded.	booking service via sawadee good it was the hotel that messed up.

F. F 2007-02-18 until 2007-02-22	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach The hotel is ok. Location: good, close to Kata and Karon beach. Rooms: just ok, no TV, basic bathroom. I liked the garden. Breakfast was very basic.Swiming pool is small but nice. One red flag: the pick up service didn t pick us up at the airport because our flight was delayed by 6 hours and arrived at 3am instead of 9pm. In our plane all pickup services picked their customers up except us. And we had no refund for the 1200 Bath payed in advance. We had to pay another pickup service for the transfer.	I used this service 5 times in the last 2 years without problem. This time the booking was wihtout problem. But usually, we paid a deposit when booking and the remaining amount to the hotel but this time we were asked to pay the 4 nights and the pick up service in advance. When we asked sawasdee for the refund of the pickup and after a few emails of haggling with them, we got NO refund.So we lost 1200 THB.
Massimo Poltronieri 2007-02-17 until 2007-02-21	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach We stayed in the Standard Fan room, that is very basic:twin beds,1 fan,1 very small guardrobe,1 very old and not so clean bathroom with cold shower (problems with the pipes).Towels were changed every day. They give 2 bottles of mineral water per day.It is better if you bring your own shower soaps, shampoo and soap because they give you the second-hand one. The location of the hotel is very good: on the street (little bit noising)with many shops and restaurants, but with many vegetation. The main beaches are closed, but is better if you rent a motorbike to go around. The service was good and the employes were very kind and nice. Breakfast: not very reach but very good: eggs (cooked in different styles), bacon, potatos (every day different style cooked), vegetables, bread, croissants, pancake, no yogurt, 6 different kinds of fresh tropical fruit.The price was reasnable so we think was ok.	Very fast and efficient. We stayed one more night in the hotel and we can spoke directely with them and find a solution for the payment.
Grace Carroll 2006-12-29 until 2006-12-31	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach The staff were lovely, but sadly we had a serious rat problem (scraping all night long in the walls and I fear the drain as well). There was a fun cover band that played each night whichstopped being fun when we were trying to sleep and they played past 1am and the music was too loud to escape (even though our room was quite a distance from them). Buffet breakfast was good, and the location was great. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, quite a walk to the beach, but a nice walk. We had 8 people in our group, and 4 of them had no problems, the other four will remember the rats (not so bad when you use a baggage tag to tape up the hole).	Easy booking, no problems. Reservation was all set when we arrived.

Second room: Much better in quality but the toilet doesnt flush. I dont think am going to go back to this place. It s more like a forest than a garden, creepy..	The booking service is good. I dont have any problem with it.

However,it was obvious that maintenance of the bungalows was not as timely as it should be. One wonders what the standard of the bungalows will be in ten years time if the current maintenance policy is not improved.	Excellent service. Quick and reliable.

The rooms are ok and walking distance to Kata and Karoon beach. We tryed some restaurangs in Kata and the best food was served on the hotel restaurant. Service from staff ok. Mr.James Syred 2006-02-09 until 2006-03-02	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach Excellent, but the climb wasn t mentioned at any stage, the room was 98 steps uphill from reception and as I have chronic lung problems it would have helped if we had known about the climb to the room. Apart from the television not picking up anything except two very fuzzy stations the apartment was excellent, service was good ans the staff were lovely. We will possibly go back next year.	All good except I e-mailed to ask for transfer from the airport but did not confirm it, had to get a taxi instead - no problem!

However, room services are not satisfactory,did not furnish new shampoo nor dispose garbage. Room service and staff services need improvement.	Good.

N J M olsthoorn 2005-12-29 until 2006-01-01	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach We were not happy at all with Kata Beach resort. First of all, our room was very old and electricity failed. AC was not OK. although we paid top price. Furthermore we were very disppointed at the compulsary (!!!!!)new years buffet. A real poor poor quality at at almost 40 euro. Especially if you keep in mind that 5 ***** Oriental in Bangkok is cheaper and absolutely ruperb. Also neighbouring Marina is cheaper and much much better. Not to be visited again. The staff was friendly but very uninterested. The food was unhygienic. A shame!
Catherine Randle 2005-12-29 until 2005-12-31	Kata Garden Resort, phuket, Kata Beach the hotel was very cute, we stayed in a superior bungalow. the staff was great- they had to finish a repair in our room before we could check into it but they gave us another room to shower and change in then by the time we were finished, our room was ready. they were very accomodating. there were no lock boxes left so they agreed to hold my things at the front desk (as they recommend that you leave valuables in the lock box or they don t guarantee it). they booked us a great tour, had internet in the lobby. a 3 minute walk from a beautiful beach. good food. great place.	great service. i ve passed it on to others

Paul Ronnquist 2005-12-25 until 2006-01-05	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach The hotel is nicely layouted in the garden. All staff friendly and helpsome. BUT, the rooms are badly maintained. Electricety not workong on all lightfittings, water leaking if comming at all and the airconditioner dit not work at all. We had to complain and change rooms. The new rooms wre better but still not up to standard. We will not come back unless the above is taken care of. You have to put in a lot of maintenance and repair to reach acceptable standard. Sean Neary 2005-12-24 until 2005-12-30	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach Well, first let me say I ve been to Thailand twice, and stayed in 6-7 hotels on my visits. Kata Garden is by far the one I like the least. The service is bad, the rooms are shabby, the buffet is dull, and the pool is worthless. The only thing it has is location, but for the money stay at another hotel near by. I can t urge you people enough to stay away. I even spoke to the staff, and if there was a better way to express indiffence, I ve never seen it. I will return to Phuket many times, but I will never stay at the Kata Gardens again. One good thing was the Christmas band they hired..they were fun...
Fam.Colin Weir/Angela 2005-12-21 until 2006-01-02	Kata Garden Resort, Kata Beach The accommodation was very disappointing. We booked 2 rooms and only one was prepared when we arrived. Rooms were not cleaned very effectively - we had 3 spiders webs in our rooms which we did not report as we wanted to see how long it would take the staff to notice. After 5 days, I cleaned them myself. If you arrive at peak-times for breakfast - be prepared to wait on glasses crockery etc. We made sure we down EARLY every morning to avoid this lack of efficiency	Sawadee.com were excellent in what they did for us. Very efficient in organisng 2 sets of pick-ups etc.

The hotel was clean and good service from staff. Reasonably priced. Unique set up, but not for someone who can t manage stairs well.	OK, some mixup with airport pick up.

Is the sort of accommodation we like, bungalows surrounded by greenery. the resort is fairly basic but comfortable in that there is no tv (who really needs that anyway)or full on spa like the bigger resorts but it has a swimming pool and a very good restaurtant with entertainment every night. although it is not a luxury resort i would choose this resort because of its charm - much nicer than staying in a concrete high rise building. it is also perfectly located between kata and karon beach, 2 minute walk to either and the hotel is situated in its own little town of shops and amenities.	booking service excellent, all questions answered and very accommodating with changes.

The room was clean and comfortable, ths staff very friendly and helpful. The grounds are also clean and well kept.	The booking service is first class. Confirmation and e-vouchers were returned in minuets.

If you like more noise and fun just take a tuk-tuk or taxi. Renting a motobike is the cheapest way of traveling in Phuket, but you need to be confortable in driving on the left. Traffic can be quite chaotic.	Booking online is quick and easy.

Frienly staff, tasty breakfast. The only negative point was that we had termites in the wooden closets and that the bungalow was not clean when we arrived...	Excellent and very easy to book, prompt reply. Plus: the sms-service you can choose as an option. You are informed via sms about your hotel booking, very usefull !

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, there was no TV (in the bungalow, even if it is delux) to enjoy the later evening after everything is closed in town and to follow the news in the morning. A big option of servioces provided!!!!!!	excellent booking and very comfortable.

After that week we moved into a place opposite, that was much cleaner more comfortable and a lot cheaper. We cannot recommend KGR.	The booking was perfect but the KGR should be taken out of your list.
