Muralidharan 2009-03-22	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach I arrived at the hotel at 10.45 am and i was allowed to check in and the resort looks great , clean and the location was great. Even it was located near Patong Beach and shops just within walking distance, the hotel was quiet and peaceful. Strongly recommended hotel for couples as well families
Rohit Choudhary 2009-03-08	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach I stayed in the Superior Room (twin). The hotel is excellent and located right across the beach. Its location is better than most of the other hotels in vicinity with a variety of food available around the hotel. Its got two pools which is excellent given the size of the hotel.	Fantastic people for hassle free travel.
Berggren 2009-02-07	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach This was our second time at Banthai. First time, a year ago, we stayed in a pool villa and were pleased with our 2 days´stay there - both room and food. This time we booked a cheaper room option and were disappointed. Very small room, bumpy white walls that made you feel you are in a prison cell. Room was not really clean, and some of the light bulbs in the room were not functioning; even if we informed the staff, the bulbs were not replaced. Breakfast was good though, probably among the best ones we had during the trip (would have been good though with several options of bread). Hotel spa is nice, worth trying for the atmosphere(even if you can get cheaper massages around the corner). Due to room standard and tourist crowds around, Banthai and Phuket was a bit of an anticlimax to our otherwise nice stay in other places around Thailand..	great as usual
Phimphrachanh 2008-09-01	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Good hotel with 3 swimming pools. The buffet breakfast was fantastic !!! Good Service, friendly staff but check-out was too long. The beach are situated just in front of the hotel with many activities. Jungceylon (area shop) are about 10 minutes walk. This hotel have a good location, small shops, restaurants etc... It is a very touristic area. Maybe try south of phuket next time.	Perfect
matteo pazzano 2008-08-17	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach if you need to stay in patong for any reason, this is one of the best, if best for you is to be beachfront, but you donìt see the beach from nowhere...I guess whomever goes to patong do not go for the sea...Staying in a pool closed between high walls could be cool if you are in any european capital. But what s the deal on seaside?	great
Atkins & Johnson 2008-07-21 until 2008-07-25	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach We were not disappointed with our beautiful delux pool room and the friendly service we received was wonderful. The location of the resort is so central we walked everywhere. The buffet breakfast was the best I d ever come across but a word of warning, the last day my partner tryed the dim sims for breakfast and ended up with food poisoning and a very distressing plane trip home. It has taken him 3 days to recover and still feeling weak. Other than that I truely recommend the resort	So easy

My only gripe is that the check in/out procedures are soooo long winded - kinda normal for Thailand, I know, but particularly annoying at this hotel. It felt like I spend half my weekend stood at reception! It won t stop me going again, but needs to be sorted out!

Service was very good and location was central to all patong has to offer. Still, it was very quiet at night and even with children splashing around right outside our windows.For gym junkies, they have a well equipped gym, only down fall is that it is only open at 10am.	Very good

The rooms are great and nicely furnished but the reception was a disaster !! The employees didn´t understand english considering that this is a 4 star resort ! We asked for an english map over Phuket and they gave us a russian map saying that this was english !!! And when you want to use the internet in the room it says on the TVscreen that it costs 0,45 bath pr. minute but when you ask in the reception for a keycode they tell you that you MUST buy for 24 hours and the price is much more expensive that 0,45 bath pr. minute !! But the breakfast is very very good - lots of fresh fruit, smoothies etc. But we will not stay here again. You simply don´t get value for your money !!	Good as always !

But great if you just want to hang around the pool bar or chill. Rooms are stylish, comfortable and clean. Big hotel complex but still quite calm atmosphere. Breakfast had great many choices and was very fresh. I would definitely return to this hotel again!	Have booked all the hotels we stayed at through Sawadee and it worked very smooth all times.

This hotel is the best i Patong. I have been to Patong 7 times and no hotel has been better then Bantahi. We stayed at a deluux room by the pool :-) The hotel looks just like the pictures. Nice poolbar.....	As allways there where no problems. Thanks

James Ng Wai Yin 2007-06-02 until 2007-06-05	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach We stayed in Banthai Beach Resort during the Tsunami incident a few years ago where the hotel was badly damaged. We decided to revisit Banthai Resort again and our first trip back to Phuket since. The service is as good as we experienced before and the front desk personnels speak very good English. The swimming pool is designed such that every block of rooms have their own privacy. We ended spending a lot of time in the pool then the beach. We had the room on the ground floor with direct pool access. The room is a bit small but the fittings and everything is just great. As we spend most of the time in the pool and out of the hotel, the room size wasn t a issue. The breakfast restaurant is large and the service is very fast. The food is international and local and the quality is very good. As the location is on Patong Beach, it is accesible to most of the restaurants and entertainment. Despites located in the busy part of Patong, the rooms are quiet as it is far away. So, I think the resort meets our requirements. The reosrt price is a bit expensive but I think it is worth the money. Definitely will come back to Banthai Resort during our next visit. Well done.	I have been using Sawasdee for many years and the quality of the service is a good as ever. Strongly recommended.

All of the hotel staff are friendly and helpful, however, Phuket in general is not as friendly as my previous experience in Samui.	This is the third time I used Sawadee.com. I received excellent service every time. I would like to thank Kim@bkkbox for her assistance with extending my stay in Phuket. She went the extra mile to help me out and it was greatly appreciated.

Location is excellent, beach across the road and shopping at the doorstep yet nice and quiet and relaxing once inside the resort. We were given vouchers for a free drink each when we arrived and discounts for other outlets within the resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful and restaurants were good too. We would definetly stay at the Banthai again.	Sawadee is the best online booking site that we have used, very quick replies to emails and everything in order upon arrival at hotel. Highly recommend booking with sawadee.com
Thomas Danielsen 2006-10-31 until 2006-11-03	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach Great Hotel, and a very accomodating staff. Location is very central in Patong Beach, so it is in a great location once you walk outside the hotel compound (very busy), but quiet inside. Highly recommend upgrading to a Deluxe room so you have pool access from your room. All the pools have bars, but the bar service ends early 1700 or 1800. The rooms are very nice, and the beds are comfortable. Definitely recommend this hotel if you want a higher end place to stay in Patong Beach. Make sure you understand that Patong Beach is very busy and this is not a quiet beach resort. You will probably not even use the beach.	Overall a good job, and good representaton. Transportation arrangements were not made by the hotel, so taxi fares had to be paid.

ROGER SMITH 2006-09-21 until 2006-09-23	Banthai Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach Room allocated on third floor of one wing - no lift which is rather poor for a modern hotel. Breakfast poor lacking choice and variety. Staff generally unattentive,professional but unfriendly. Overall atmosphere ok for conference type accomadation but there are better hotels locally for a vacation. Will no be staying again.

The pool was ideal, especially with the bar in it. The service was attentive. There is a big breakfast buffet, with a wide variety of foods to try. The location is great for those who want to be close to the beach and really nestled in the hustle and bustle of the shopping/nightlife area.	Very smooth and easy to book with sawadee.com

Glenn Russell 2006-06-21 until 2006-06-30	Banthai Beach Resort, Patong Beach Hotel is in a great location, we had a deluxe pool room, the room was okay a bit small with no real place to sit other than on the bed if you wanted to watch television, there was no privacy if you wanted to have the shutters open as the pool rooms have no privacy from people sitting around or in the main pool area or walking past the pools also there was no shade if you wanted to sit outside, a privacy fence/shutters need to be put up to give deluxe pool guests privacy plus a shade cover out from the roof of these rooms is needed. for the cost that you pay for these rooms you would expect some privacy. Most staff where very helpful but we where not impressed when we made a complaint to the reception staff about children throwing stones at our door from the main pool area only to be told that there where no children and we where made out to be liars when i told them to check it out with the pool staff they did and said that the parents would be spoken to we did not get an apology for being told we where lying or for what happened. We would not stay here again as for the extra money we paid to stay here we could stay other places for less.	great service no problems with our booking
HS Lee 2006-04-24 until 2006-04-29	Banthai Beach Resort, Patong Beach Big Smile after staying at this hotel. I looked around other hotels in Patong beach area but I find this 3 star hotel is the best located as it is surrounded by the upscale features in the patong area and just 1 road across the beach, set back from its own bars, shops, restaurants and spa buildings on the front. This is 3 star hotel ($60)but the friendliness and the good maintenance made me feel good all the time. I am sure other hotels also provide the same good service, but, minus, the location and amenities that BanThai has. I tried other areas to dine out but nothing was like Ban Thai area restaurants. 4-5 blocks up north is the cheesey honky tonky area with cheap older Aussie/Brit guys hooking up with local working girls and many hotels around the same price range are located around this area. But BanThai and Some other better resort hotels are away from it, which is a great advantage. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and always smiling. They recognize you and give good attention. The room service come to the room to open your duvet at night. The hotel comprises of 4 wings using in-between spaces as the main lobby(outdoor) and 2 swimming pools with jacuzzies and a sunken cocktail bar; they are constructing an additional block completing this year. The design is very contemporary with minimalistic style. The buffet breakfast is quite impressive. I tried the restaurant, which is run by a french lady separately, but the food did not taste as good as it was displayed and cost 3-5 times more than other local restaurants($90-100 per head, with one cocktail). Often, many nights, this venue did not have any guest and we decided not to go back again though we liked the hostess lady. The weather was just fantastic. I was worried about thunderstorms but it was only 10 min shower and all cleared up. During our 5 day stay, only one day was humid and the beach sand did not dry till the Sun set, otherwise, it was all fine as long as you stay in the shade often. Trips to Phi Phi islands(1 day) and Phang Nga Bay(Half day) shouls be included in your trip. Personally it is not even an option, These are a must! FantaSea, however, was a big disappointment. we had a buffet dinner, kind of cheap, in a banquet hall, strategically placing caucasians at the end of tables-weird, and too many rude Korean Honeymooners, I did not find the dinner that good. The show, initially, expected a cirque-du-soleil gig, but it turned out to be a bad Miss Saigon without any flowing concept. The minibus picked us up at 5:30pm and the sheow started at 9pm. Before the show, you have no choice but to kill time in theme-park style souvenir shops, that was a bit tacky. Anyway, if you decided to stay in Patong Beach, this hotel is the good choice and I will recommend it to anyone, unless you like to spend 200-600 bucks to get a slight better service with full features and you have no intention to walk outside the hotel gate.	same good sawadee service always. very reliable! They seem to have build a good communication with hotels. cheaper/better than American hotel booking websites.

The room it self was lovely, bright and roomy. The only resort that has ever been even better than the advertising photos. Staff were very pleasant and friendly for such a large concern. Situated in a very convenient part of Patong beach. The best buffet breakfasts ever!	booking with Sawadee.com was easy, straight forward with no problems. Would certainly use again

Although, perhaps due to its grand size, the hotel lacks personal warmth and touch of the Thai hospitality compared to smaller Thai operated hotels.	I have booked through Sawadee since years ago and still am doing it. It is reliable and efficient.
