Anders Vahlin 2009-03-28	Koh Mook Charlie Beach Resort, Trang, Koh Mook The rooms were ok,cleaning ok but the food/restaurant a disaster i must say.Cold food every other day and it could take 45-60 minutes(at dinner) and then its cold.. Not ok,especially if you travel with children.Kitchen has big problems.

If you want to chill out thhis is the place for you, can t do anything else than sleeping eating swimming and rrelaxing in the sun. :)

Tomas Koczkas 2009-02-19	Koh Mook Charlie Beach Resort, Trang, Koh Mook We came from Koh Kradan and compared to that this was like comming back to civilization. In a good and bad way. The good thing was that here the staff are nice and polite and speak english, the food is good and menue broad. The bad thing was that the beach and water compared to Kradan was crap (Kradan is SPECTACULAR in that way). After the kids had been in the pool for 2 days me and my wife where really fed up. There is not much else to do. The walk to the other side of the island is too far to walk with children. There are 3 restaurants and a mini market which is expensive in Thai measure. The bungalow (beachfront) was expensive but nice. I warmly recomend that you take the boat from here to Koh Lipe which is a bit lik Koh Phi Phi was 20 years ago, don´t miss it!

The staff was very service minded, nice breakfast, good diving center, nice pool, nice prices and a great dinner on the beach! We can really recommend it to everyone who is looking for a beautiful and peaceful resort!

Very fine and wellworking.

The restaurang is not the best place to eat at. Ones you leave the hotel area (from the back) you realize that there are allot more bungalows and resturangs to eat at.	Wonderful!

Staff made scrabled eggs on demand, coffee served as many times as you liked. For dinners the tables were moved on to the beach, there was a good barbecue, sallad buffé. Good service with longtail boat excurions and other arrangements. Very friendly and efficient staff.	Quite efficient.

The water in the pool was not as clear as it could be, but none of the kids got sick, so I guess it is only sand and salt that gets dragged in. Ideal place for families, and a small beach the kids to roam and hunt for crabs with flashlights by themselves	OK as always

Place for the easy and relaxing life! We checked out 10 of jan but returned three days later! Goodpick up service from the airport in Krabi. Snorkeling ok but not so good. We will return if possible!	Very good, everything worked out fine.
Mikael 2009-01-05	Koh Mook Charlie Beach Resort, Trang, Koh Mook The bungalows are ok, basic, you get what you pay for. In general the food was very good on the island and the New Years Eve party on the beach was really something to remember. On the bad side was the beach bar, playing music (including singing visitors) loud late at nights - something which makes us considering not going back to that resort.	Has been working very well. What I find challenging though is to decide and pay 100% in advance for specific dates when you reserve the bungalows 8-10 months ahead. The resort is not willing to pay back anything during high/peak season if you want to leave a day or two earlier even if, as in our case, we payed for 42 nights (6 persons - 7 nights).

The rooms are good size and baths are large. The food is marginal and rather overpriced. The beach out front is best for sunbathing, although there is some snorkeling.	Booking was easy and smooth.

Take a walk around the island. There is a boutiful nature. There are also several restaurants (with cheap food) and a little supermarket. Charlie Beach Resort is a very nice place but too big and the restaurant is very noisy and not cosy. The food is ok. But go to the other resturants and take a walk to the others resorts especially if you want to meet with thai people (or go to Koh Sukorn). But we will come back to this island because of the opportunity to snorkeling.	Very good - my very best recommendation.

The food in the restaurant good and tasteful. Some of the staff had problems with the english language, but they always tried to do their best. We can recommend this resort.	Excellent as usual

We stayed in a Bamboo Chalet Fan, the smallest bungalow we ve ever stayed in though the bathroom was ok in size. We got what we paid for, so nothing to complain about. Nice pool, which was highly enjoyed by the kids. The restaurant was nice at night when all tables were moved out on the beach. There were 2 other small restaurants on the beach, not part of the resort, and we recommend a visit to both of them, they both had great food. Rent a long tail and you ll get perfect snorkeling just 15 minutes away at Koh Kradan, an island close by.

The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Koh muuk is a quiet and peacefull place to relax in beautifull surroundings. Good breakfast. In the evenings the hotel served dinner on the beach. The hotel had a small pool with poolbar that was really nice with a lot of sunchairs around it.	Worked as allways.

Only stayed a night there, so can t say much about staff or atmosphere at hotel. The restaurant is a bit ugly, but at night they set up tables at the beach so you can still have a nice dinner under the stars. The beach is not so great, no shade and not so good to swim. We would go to another beach next time on the other side of the island.	Ok.

The Island is very nice and the resort offers very comfortable bungalows. The restaurant offers many good dishes and a barbecue with nice fish- other seafood- and meatdishes. We might return for the fourth time!	As always, excellent!

It has nearly all been taken over by a sweedish charter company, hence the need to build a swimming pool Although we tried to book a beachside bungalow as early as August they were all reserved for them, as were all the best positions of the other bungalows. We ended up with a view of the kitchen which smelt very unpleasant also the garden looked like a rubbish site. Cleaning was not very thorough in five days they never cleaned the bathroom mirror.only made beds and emptied bins. Would definately not go back there again.	was very efficient although if we had been told about the charter company we would have reconsidered our options

Good resort facilities, though the food was not as good as elsewhere in Thailand, and at times the restaurant service was painfully slow. Would still recommend it though, just for its location.

However, other travelers should consider the other options on the island as well (none of which are available for booking through sawadee, which is a pity).We found the hotel quite expensive for what you get when compared to accommodation elsewhere in Thailand (we visited 5 different locations). The restaurant food was a huge disappointment. We were also unsatisfied with the service that we received from the hotel - we had to travel to Koh Mook from Myanmar in a day and have taken great trouble to confirm long in advance with the hotel that they would arrange pickup in Krabi as we would arrive there at night. When we phoned the resort that day as arranged, they told us (at eight o clock at night)that we must arrange our own taxi to kuantunku pier from where we would be able to catch a longtail. At ten o clock at night we found ourselves stranded on a dark deserted pier with no longtails at all. We had to wake up locals and ask them to take us to the island, and we ended up paying a HUGE premium for this. The hotel s excuse for this was that the wrong staff member attended to our call..Also note that the hotel does not change bedlinen every day despite the notices in the rooms - we had the same linen (and several insect bites) during our whole stay. Having said that, Koh Mook (and especially the Emerald Cave) is definitely worth a visit.

The only negative thing we can say is the awful music they played in the restaurant. We did not travel this far to listen to bad western elevator music . Turn off the music and let your guests listen to the sound of the ocean instead! Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and will definitely come back.

Michelle Vassallo 2004-12-19 until 2004-12-23	Koh Mook Charlie Beach Resort, Trang, Koh Mook excellent beach huts very close to sea, not much entertainment but beautiful scenery and good day trips to koh rok, worth seeing , very pretty island beautiful white sand. toilet and showers are very clean on charlies and well looked after. food is nice and cheap, beach bbq in the evening. its a lovely resort for honey mooners, romantic, see beautiful sunsets from here. could do with just little activities like tennis or badmington maybe... please take sun tan lotion as you can not get here....	very easy to book and safe
