Lars-Johan Gottberg 2009-03-10	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach Very nice atmosphere and a very nice and helpfull staff, including the manager pair Net and Darren. The hotel area was clean and nice looking and the garden with direct connection to the beach was perfect. The hotel kitchen served us a lot of interesting both Thai and western cousine, even our friends from a nother hotel joined us a several times regarding the food etc. We realy recommend this hotel and if (and when) we return to Koh Lanta this is the palce to stay. Service is very good. Unfortunately the have a neighbour resort that seem to have party every friday and saturday(?) and play music very loud until 1.30 in the morning. Terrible! And they cant do anything about it... sad because this a place i really reccommend in every way. I would gladely go back there again!	No problem at all!

Daniel Schoermann 2009-02-10	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach Very nice Resort on Phrae Ae beach, Ko Lanta. The bungalows are nice, relatively new and clean! We stayed there 4 nights and were very satisfied! Supermarket and other facilities on the road just 200m away. Beside this, the retaurant serves good value and nice thai and great mexican food! At breakfast time, you can choose a la carte( e.g. fruits, joghurt, toast, eggs...), an good alternative to the common served american breakfast. Also very friendly and helpful staff! The Prae Ae beach is quiet and good for swimming and sunbathing at the resorts area, there a 2 or 3 other restaurants nearby, and in walking distance a lot of others. So, we absolutely can highly recommend the Lanta Castaway!	As always fast and without problems!

Maria Lemark 2009-01-22	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach Lanta Castaway is a very nice resort. A bit of luxury, but still not to much, just very pleasant thai feeling. Clean, big bungalows, we stayed in seawiew, 2 adult and 2 children and the beds where so large so we needed no extra bed. Very nice staff and good food in the restaurang, little moore expensive than others nearby, but it was worth it since it tasted so good! When we go back to Koh Lanta, we will stay at Castaway again!!

Nice bungalows, excellent food, nice view, very friendly and helpful staff and beautiful beach. Transfer from Krabi airport worked perfect. Me and my family enjoyed every minute and would very much come back. We do recommend this resort to other travellers!	Very easy to book through Sawadee.com! Booking were made almost one year in advance and it worked perfect.

We tried both the bungalow with seaview and without.The staff was very helpful and pleasant to talk to.Good food,barbecue and breakfast.Close to the sea and beds you could sit and relax on. Ivana Sapigni 2008-11-21	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach A very beautiful resort, with lot s of detail work(nice garden, flowers and colors) The staff is very friendly and even if not everybody speaks good english, they try. The location of the resort I liked very much at the end of Long beach a somehow little hidden place with nice view. The bar is a funny place to be in the evening, there are games and good drinks to enjoy and the thaifood ( we just ate thai) in the restaurant is absolutely great. All in all Darrel and Net buildet up a great small, familiar resort where u can enjoy calm times. Saladaan is not too far away by bicycle (for non-sportif there are tuck tuck s or motorbikes) and if u are a diver or snorkler there s Dive&Relax a great, professional Dive Center located in the resort, we went 2times for snorkeling and enjoyed it alot. David Andrew / Thitaya Tarnpad 2008-10-21	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach We stayed for 8 nights and had an excellent stay in deluxe bungalows. This is our second time to visit in 6 months and cannot fine a single fault or complaint on this beautiful resort which is brand new. Darren and his wife who manage the resort are great people who make you at home. Food is massive and I highly recommend the mexican food and the superb breakfast. Beach bar was great and the staff are so so friendly.This is a wonderful place to stay to have a romantic time and everyone will enjoy, young, families, and older mature people. Please stay here and you will have a great time and I guarantee you will be coming back again and again.	Excellent quick secure and very helpful and informative website. I will certainly be using you in the near future again. Keep up the great work you all do.

As a lonely traveller i was taken care of by the staff. There is not a pool here but that wasn t a problem for me. I enjoyed the sea instead and did not have a lot of noice from a pool... The food was very god and a lot of dishes to choose from. The beer tasted really god at the beachbar during sunset time:-). Massage platform was perfect located and I spend about 4 hours there. Good value for your money. The bungalow was nice and the cleaning good. If I have any complaints it whould be on the pillows in the bed, they were far to big. So thank you Darin with wife and staff, I really enjoyed my stay at your place.	Perfect.

It s a small resort with great service, the bungalows are new and clean. The pictures on this website does not do the place justice, it looks much nicer in reality! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and so are the owners of the place. The resort is located on the southern part of Long Beach, so if you re looking for a calm and relaxing environment, this is where you ll find it. The beach is long and beautiful, but sometimes not so clean, however, unfortunately there are no clean beaches on Koh Lanta... We were so pleased with our stay at Castaway that we extended our stay another 3 days :)	Excellent!
Linda Andersson 2008-03-21 until 2008-03-28	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach We stayed in a deluxe bungalow for one week and we absolutely loved it. We highly recommend this hotel. It was a very well furnished room with thai cuisins and thai paintings. Darin and his team has done a wonderful job with this resort. The service is superb and you feel very well taken care of during your stay here. The breakfast is ordered from a menu, ( although it s included in the hotel price)and it was the best breakfast Ive had in Thailand. Their food is also delicious, especially their pad thai . The only remark we have is that they only have around six sunbeds and three sun umbrellas so there isnt that much shade to hide in. We would defently stay here again. From Saladan you can take a tuk tuk to the hotel for 50 bht per person or ask Daren. He offered to pick us up from the pier.
Majki and Gabbi, Sweden 2008-03-21 until 2008-03-26	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach We rented a seaview bungalow, which was nice and big (maybe too big for two persons). After 2 weeks of travelling around Thailand, we finally came to a resort where the staff could speak good english. They where very nice and helpful and gave us good service. Not to mention the owners, Darryn and Niss, who where very serviceminded and made sure that all their guests was satisfied.	No problems, easy and smooth.

Although I´m very picky about things when i comes to hotels and resorts, I only can recomment this place. The pictures of the resort & rooms show the place as it is and not like it was at the opening day. The restaurant is flexible regarding the breakfast times(11am no problem) or having a thai style breakfast instead of American . The beach is not what I call a dream beach regarding powder white sand , no rocks.. but taking one of the offered trips to the various small islands around will compensate this.	unfortunately it took a long time, until all my questinons were answered, but finally it worked out fine

The resort is rather small without too much space between the units, and not much shady areas to relax or getting lost . We stayed in 2 connecting rooms which are on the tiny side for a family with children, but yet functional, very clean and cozy. Along Long Beach, a nice beach strech, close to stores and eateries on the main road. As mentioned - the place is well maintained, the stuff is helpful and kind, and we enjoyed our stay. We find the peices fair and overall good value.	Seamless.

The hotel was excellent,on a very nice and quiet beach, the room was spacious,the daily service like a 5* hotel, and the stuff very friendly and efficient (especially Pat). The restaurant serves delicious food (Thai and Tex-Mex)and the price is very reasonable for a hotel. I really look forward going back.	Very prompt

Hotel placement and access to town and the beach was excellent. Staff always nice and helpfull, food was OK and not overpriced. Definetely a place I would recommend if you like comfortable and no problem accomodation. Say Hi to owner Darren for me :-)	Bookings went smooth. No surprices and no misunderstandings.

The bungalows are new and are simply furnished with Thai cushions, wall hangings, etc. Th welcome from the owners (Thai-American) couple was all you could as for. The breakfasts were great and we really enjoyed lounging in the the beach bar, particularly at sunset. Only slight criticism was the loud music from a nearby property until 2.00am a couple of nights, but beacuse everything else was so good, you could easily forgive it! Strongly recommended	Fine

Delux Bunglalows are very clean, well serviced, modern/rusic furnishings and interiors. Good value for money compared to basic rooms offered on other lslands like Phi Phi. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Food is good in restautant. Beach bar and massage are bonus too. Drinks are a little expensive. Highly recomended.	Efficient and straight-forward.

We received a free pick up service and back to the ferry too. The rooms are very clean with sea-view, but I don t recomend the beach front bungalow, because its not so privete beside the restaurant, bar and lobby.	The booking service was okay. We changed from other Hotel and so it was a little bit difficult and a lot of calls, but finally we could changed.

It s a cozy little resort, only 17 units I believe, but the bungalows are spacious and very comfortable. The resort sits right on the beach, there is a great restaurant that serves both Thai and American foods, the bar is right on the beach, and if you want a beach side massage, that is available as well. All in all, a great place to go and relax. I highly recommend this resort!	Easy to book.
Marita Holst 2008-01-14 until 2008-01-20	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach We just loved this small resort. staff was very friendly, bungalow kept clean and breakfast was ordered from meny, even though it was included. hence, we had fresh breakfast in line with each persons preferences. from the hotel you could borrow all you need on the beach or when snorkeling. Their food was also very good. we will defenetely come back to this hotel. we also liked the fact that each room had two queen size beds which meant that the whole family slept in ordinary beds.	It all worked very well. no problems
P & N 2008-01-01 until 2008-01-07	Lanta Castaway Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Phra Ae Beach A rather new resort in the south end of Long Beach. We had a very nice seaview bungalow, spacious and clean without any bugs. They also had some fan bungalows very cheap that looked really good. The breakfastchoices was ok. The food in the restaurant was very good and we can recommend the mexican... The manager/owner along with all staff was very helpful. The roomcleaning could be a little earlier though. The beach in front of the resort is ok but the resort didn´t provide sunchairs and parasolls on the beach. The massage on the premises was very good and had to be booked. A lot of people from nearby resorts used that too. We can strongly recommend Lanta Castaway and if in Koh Lanta again we will return.	Swift and accurate as ever

An excellent option for couples who want peace and tranquillity. Staff and Management also fantastic, friendly and happy lovely people.
