Blue Village, Ao Nang A bit of a mixed bag this one. Location is a fair distance away from the beach (ignore their map) and up a hill but that makes it nice and quiet. It also puts it close to some nice restaurants and tour operators. The staff seem a little strange, consisting of young girls and girl-boys (lady-boys in training) and not a responsible adult in sight. However, somehow things run smoothly enough and the room was reasonably clean and featured a quirky outside bathroom. The mattress seemed a bit damp and covered with a waterproof cover, I didn t dare look underneath. The sleeping area also featured a mosquito net, which is a must have here. The Blue Village motto is we pamper you with nature which owing to the location is quite true. The huts are surrounded by quite an amazing hillside garden full of all manner of wildlife. The upside is quite a nice natural vibe but humidity and mosquitos do take the sparkle off the experience a little. All in all not a bad place to stay, just keep an open mind. |
Faultless and reasonably quick. There was accomodation at all levels and good discounted rates. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang This hotel is very very overpriced. Stonehard rubber matress on the floor makes it hard to sleep. The hotel has a deserted feeling over it. It seems like no one care about service and maintenance. It´s sad because this hotel could have been nice with its jungle feeling and nice surroundings. The pool was ok but a lot of junk laying around. We had two superior And one fan bungalow. The outdoor shower was ok though you can look in to it from the outside if you want to.Breakfast was ok but nothing special. No one pick us up from the airport even that we paid for pickup in advance. It took three days of nagging before the hotel pay me back the taximoney. If this hotel get softer beds and cut the rates in half it would be ok but if you have booked it more than two nights I will suggest that you cancel and pick another hotel in the area. |
No problems |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Nice bungalows, but very hard beds. Nice garden in quiet surroundings, but the service could be better, especially at breakfast... |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Extremely poor value for money. Bed was hard mattress on floor with torn sheets and dirty blankets. No furniture in room - wardrobe was a coat stand. Only one light working. Blue sparks came out of plugs. Walls dirty. Deckchairs mouldy. Pool dirty. Area next to pool full of rubbish, empty whisky bottles and paint cans. Staff unhelpful and unfriendly, spent most of their time watching tv. Breakfast - given 2 pieces of toast and one fried egg every day. Crockery chipped and dirty. Hotel in general was a disgrace. Booked 9 nights but left after 4 and went to Royal Nakara (5 minutes walk down the road) and paid 200 tb less per night for a vastly improved service. Avoid Blue Village at all costs - it will spoil your holiday. There are many better hotels in the area. |
Couldn t fault Sawadee. They refunded us the five nights without question. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Quiet location, but motor bike is needed unless you don t mind a 15 minute walk to the beach every day. Road is dark and dangerous at night so be careful if walking. Hotel staff is very nice, but smoke cigarettes constantly, which is disgusting when preparing breakfast. Room was very nice and clean, but no place to sit or put luggage so living out of suitcase gets old. Overall, nice place but not sure if I d return. |
Great as is always the case!!! |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Nice place situated just walking distance from the center of AoNang. Lovely garden and nice poolarea.Deluxe Bungalow with nice and special designed room/bathroom with greenplants. The only small bad thing was that we missed a bedmatress in the bed. It was a plastic bed with just a sheet on. To warm. Very friendly and serviceminded staff. Warmly recommended. |
Great as allways. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Very nice Resort. Ideal for individual travellers who love nature. Clean bungalows in a wonderful jungle garden. Bungalows have an outdoor bath which we liked much. Not suitable for handicapped people or people seeking luxury. You ll meet animals everywhere, like in the real jungle: Geckos, Birds, the ownner s monkeys in the lobby, and unfortunately moskitos. There is a friendly, Swiss management, very helpful and fluent in at least 3 languages (German, English, Thai). In peak season the charming daughter helps as well. Rest of staff is very poor in English. The Blue Village has an ideal location: it is pretty quiet there, but in a 15 minutes walk you are in the center of AoNang Beach with all the restaurants and longtail boats. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Blue Village is situated a 10-15 minute walk from the main sea-front road in Ao Nang which is why we chose it - an easy stroll into town but still feeling away from the hubbub. Friendly and helpful Swiss/Thai owners - we arrived in a downpour and the lady of the house came running out to the car park with umbrellas for us! We stayed in a superior bungalow (1750B/night) which was very nicely furnished (inc. air con., fridge, T.V.) and serviced each day. The grounds are well set out with plants and palm trees and there s plenty of space between the bungalows. There is a well maintained pool. A simple continental-style breakfast is included - nothing special but perfectly O.K. If we return to Ao Nang we would definitely stay here again. |
Efficient, as ever. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang A nice hotel in jungle place, perfect but only for adults not with a child under two years !! bathroom facilities are outside but not at the same level of the room. We need to use a stair. There s no chair for sitting and no cupboard. The teak floor is very slippery. We felt not secure with our child, so we didn t want to stay. We have booked for 8 nights but only 5 nights were refunded. We ve payed 8000 bath for one night (2500 bath normaly), because we have made a mistake in booking 7 nights in advance (the owner is Swiss not Thai and we are in Krabi not in Chiang Mai : business is business). Becareful don t made the same mistake... this hotel is not convenient for a couple travelling with a little child for the others it s a charming place! |
perfect for booking but not for cancelling! |

Blue Village, Ao Nang A nice quiet jungle setting about ten minutes walk away from the main Ao Nang strip and the waterfront. Marcel and family were very helpful towards our needs and provided us with a bungalow on our last day as we had a late flight. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time but I think it would be annoying to guests who want to use the pool when the dive instructor and trainees are using the pool. My only gripe is that the place is looking very tired. While the lush grounds are kept immaculately, the same can not be said for the room we had. The room smelt very damp and mildewy. Similarly, some of the sun chairs by the pool had rotted through and were dangerous to sit on (I would probably have ripped right through them at 6 foot 3 and 90kgs). One last comment to prospective guests is to bring some good insect repellent. This isn t a complaint but being set in the jungle, at dusk the mosquitos become quite rampant. So if you want a quiet break away from the masses of oversize European tourists down on the strip and the beach and you don t mind roughing it a bit, Blue Village could be for you. |
Very efficient. No problems with the booking process and communication. I will use Sawadee again. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Very nice hotel. Nice people - swiss owner of Blue Village and all his family. The owner gave us good advises about restaurants and interesting places in Krabi. Late check-out was without any additional money. Highly recommended. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Good. But there was construction beside the hotel which can be abit invasive of the privacy as i could hear workers talking. |
Booking service was reliable and efficient. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang I felt the location was perfect! It was out of the way enough to get away from the main road traffic noise, but close enough to walk to for food or shopping. I really enjoyed the outdoor bathroom facilities. It was unique. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the porch with the unique wooden chairs to sit on and read or relax. |
Using Sawadee has been easy and quite reliable. I have had no problems so far and this was my third booking with this web-based booking company. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang room was clean and tidy but had no seating of any sort inside. You had to sit on the bed or on the floor. Pool was OK but had to share it most days with a diving instructor and two learners. got a little crowded. There s no cooked breakfast available. Tea/coffee and toast was it. Girl at reception spoke very little english so we gave up trying to ask for anything. Stay there again, not likely. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang these bungalows are built in fabulous gardens where wildlife abounds. the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful & relaxing & yet you are just a short walk from local restaurants - Carnivore serves delicious steaks. A 20 baht taxi will take you to the seafront & all that ao nang has to offer. The rooms themselves are modern & well-maintained. the only downsides are the lack of proper chairs (there are floor cushions in the room)& the mattress is on the floor. our bathroom was also 6 stairs down from the room, quite scary really but most unusual. |
excellent; the sawadee rates are actually less than the walk-in rates |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Excellent place to stay. The rooms are log cabins and very clean. The setting is superb as they are all in a garden setting. The owner is Swiss and speaks very good English German Thai and I am sure numerous other languages. We were made to feel at home immediately and found the staff there very friendly and helpful although with the exception of the owner they do not speak english. Most impressed with the mini bar prices which were the same as the local supermarket. 5minutes walk doen to Ao Nang beach. The swimming pool was clean and well tended though not very large. All in all an excellent experience and we will be returning. (word of warning sawadee has it wrong it is not American breakfast just continental but full breakfast can be got at any number of the cafes near the beach) |
Excellent as usual |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Blue Village is recommended for those who want to rough it out. Though it s away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang, you have to walk for 20min everytime you want to head to the beach. Also, bedsheets & towels will only be cleaned once in 3 days. For paranoiacs, take the deluxe room as noises can be heard due to various nocturnal animals. The only consolation is the warm hospitality provided by the Swiss owner of Blue Village. |
Very Efficient. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Blue Village is the most ideal place, being in the heart of Ao-nang/Krabi and yet away from the noise. The owners are so friendly and helpful that it felt like home away from home. Its green, clean and extremely comfortable.I d give it 10 on 10. |
Sawadee made it possible for me to find a hotel and reserve it in just one day, i was shocked at its quickness and relieved all at the same time.Keep it up. |

Blue Village, Ao Nang Lovely little mini jungle oasis close but not too close to the tourist hussle and bustle of Ao Nang. Great bungalows and friendly helpful staff. I can highly recommend it! |
Good, no problems. |
