Henry Liou 2008-11-10	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach I stayed in their Garden View with my girlfriend for 3 nights. We are very happy with our stay. The restaurant in the hotel is absolutely delicious! If you can eat spicy food, you should definitely try their Thai dishes. We ate in the hotel restaurant for all three nights. The staff are all very friendly. The tour offered by the hotel is a bit pricey compared to other resorts. Would recommend to anyone who is going to live at Railay west.	No problem with the booking at all. Great service! Would definitely book with sawadee.com again.

It was very close to the swimming pool and the beach. And the food was great too! There are so many restaurants and bars. My husband and I had a really amazing time! Highly recommended. The hotel staff is not that proficient in English but communication was not an issue for this. Great spa and ok b-fast. I was charged for 2 people booking the tranfer instead of 1- only complaint.	Easy and i would do this again

Overall 4.4 of 5 points.	Worked perfect as always!

The privacy cottage was lovely, the staff were always helpful and the setting is delightful! The pool area is great, right in the front of the ocean! Would loved to have had real bacon for breakfast though! Will definitely return! Just such a beatiful place...peaceful but not boring!	Easy and simpl - I changed my booking several times and I always received timely and polite replies!

Zhou Tian 2008-08-16	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach Railay is a isolated area which can only be accessed by taxi boat. The resort overall is three star level but the privacy cottage is nice. With bonus night (buy 3 pay 2), I think the price is reasonable. Otherwise, it is over priced. The resteraunt is not very clean and breakfast is below average.	very quick response.

Had slight problems with room service though but still managed to get the correct food. Room service food was below expectations and would not recommend ordering from room service.. Nearby restaurants offer better quality and value for money.. Room was clean and spacious, definately worth paying for the privacy suite.. Back to nature experience hearing crickets and toads in ur own garden with a lil fish pond.. Not for those who can t stand worms that come out during the rain.. Lovely outdoor jaccuzi and shower.. Would come back for sure..	Efficient, fast and reliable..
YVONNE WATSON 2008-07-28	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach We had a triple room for my son, daughter and myself. The room was spacious and clean with a large bathroom and balcony. Breakfast plentiful but could have been more varied as the same every day. The resort is well placed on the beautiful West beach with access to the East beach (which is a more basic area used mostly by travellers as the accomodation is more basic and cheaper) via by a path through the resort which also takes you to another beautiful beach when the tide is out. Well worth finding! The staff were friendly and extremely helpful at all times. Point worth considering is access is only by boat and would recommend that you have the hotel pick you up. The charge is 1.200 th bt(around £20) per party of up to 7 people. We did not on the way there and paid 500Th bt taxi to the boats then 100 th bt each on the boat but had to walk down a steep path littered with glass unaided and then wade through the water to the boat carrying luggage above waist height! Not an easy task with a suitcase!! Again to reach beach at other end! Naturally we used hotel transport back to airport which was excellent! I would not hesitate use this hotel again.

The outdoor jacuzzi was a real treat. Great service, right from the moment we stepped off the boat. The only regret we have is that we didn t stay here longer.	No problems. Fast and efficient.

It is the only hotel on the west side with the pool and deck chairs right on the beach front giving you a wonderful view of the beach. The hotel itself is great but the service is lacking a little, especially in the restaurant. Food is reasonably priced but alcohol is quite pricey by comparison.	the service was great. very efficient. Railay Bay resort and spa could use your efficiency at their resort. thanks very much

It has got a very spectacular view of the beach and rocks. The service at the hotel is pretty good and I definitely would go stay at Raiay Bay Resort again.	Good!

John Kenneth McNern 2008-04-26 until 2008-05-05	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach We stayed at the deluxe triple room with two adults, an 11 year old and a 3 year old. With 4 people in a room, it is often difficult to find a hotel. This room was great. Very big, a double and a single bed, and still lots of space for the whole family. These older buildings are very nicely made. The resort was very helpful and the location great. Having two pools were very nice, especially with being able to find shade during the hot periods. The best part of the pools were they had a section for the toddlers. This worked excellently for the 3 year old and the family. Many other hotels may have a seperate pool, but it is not so nice for adults. It is not the greatest hotel but it was excellent for the price. The only drawback was the breakfast - while fine for 2-3 days, after that it is monotonous and more variety would be better. The service was good. I wish they had an automatic coffee machine like at some other hotels.	I booked three hotels this trip with Sawadee and everything went very well.I will try with them next time as well.

We selected the pick-up service offered by the hotel which was great value. The location of the resort was incredible. WE stayed in a privacy cottage which was so luxurious. Nothing can match having your own outdoor jacuzzi and shower. My only complaint was a nauseating odour that came from the drain in the indoor shower stall . I would recommend taking a speedboat tour to the Phi Phi Islands as that was a highpoint of the trip. Booking your own private boat is an affordable option! All in all be prepared for seeing the most majestic scenery beyond belief around the resort!!!!	I was very pleased with the efficiency of your service and will book with you again. I was especially pleased that there were no unexpected expenses added on.
Benjamin Todd Whitney 2008-03-21 until 2008-03-25	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach Our stay was a three out of five. The transfer from the airport worked smooth and like clockwork. The expectation of resort & spa, is more resort and little spa, too bad because my wife really likes a good spa, it seemed like a side show. We had the Privacy Cottage with space laid out well. Very private good for sunning in the buff, the outdoor shower is great and is a must because with the amount of tourism hitting this beach and hotels being somewhat over built; there is a back log of sewer that you can smell, not always, but often. I do question the sustainability of the size of this hotel on this size of beach. The employees were curtious and helpful but somehow we getting an impression they were not very happy, maybe the pay? Good place for the family. Oh! bring your own razor blade the blades they offer are hardly worth the plastic they sit in. Climbing! train hard if your a sub 6a. Slim pickings on routes under that grade. Tex is the rope gun with a big heart look for his shop. peace out, b	Sawadee.com rocks! your service is top notch. thank you!

The land between Railey East and West is completely developed between a couple of the big resorts. The breakfast was great and so was the room, but not bungalow feeling Very good service and clean.	no problems

Clean rooms, ok spa, but terrible service at the restaurant. We never got our meals at the same time, and nearly impossible to get the waitors attention. When we were leaving, both ATM-machines in Railay were out of order, and since we only had our Visa cards, we couldn´t pay for long tail boats to Ao Nang. Considering the amount of money we had spent on Railay Bay Resort&Spa one would think that the staff would offer some assistance, but we had to make all arrangements ourselves. Nevertheless, this resort, apart from the Rayavadee, is the best Railay has to offer.	Very good.

Very nice breakfast buffet. Resort right on the beach (beach very nice with tide though not completely transparent clear water ). Excursions available to go to the islands nearby. Ask for a room on the West side (much nicer than those on the East !!!).	Excellent !!! Very efficient !

Il personale sempre molto gentile e disponibile. Gli scenari straordinari, il ristorante abbastanza buono anche se non eccellente. Devo però annotare alcune gravi mancanze, almeno per noi che cercavamo l assoluto relax. La spiaggia non è attrezzata con lettini, gli unici disponibili (scomodissimi) sono attorno alla piscina (piccola) con conseguente sovraffollamento. Niente ombra o angolini per sè, ci si deve arrangiare come si può sotto il sole e il caldo. La spiaggia non è molto grande ed è tutto un ammucchiare di asciugamani e stuoie come nelle spiagge libere italiane. Il motivo, ci è stato spiegato, è che Relay è parco nazionale e dunque non possono essere approntate strutture sulla spiaggia. Spiegazione assurda visto che a pochi metri dal bagnasciuga stanno costruendo nuovi mega resort e che le speedy boat approdano direttamente sulla spiaggia. Altro motivo di lamentela, il tranfert dall aeroporto che noi abbiamo prenotato insieme all hotel pagando 1.200 bath. Ebbene, dopo il trasferimento in taxi (normalmente a 500 bath) e il passaggio in barca (che costa 80 bath) per il quale abbiamo dovuto discutere e pregare che ci aiutassero a caricare i bagagli, ci siamo viste catapultate con le nostre valigie sulla spiaggia senza tanti complimenti dovendo oltrettutto affrontare sia all imbarco che allo sbarco un tuffo in acqua con il mare fino alla cintola visto che non esistono pontili. Provateci voi poi a trascionare da soli per 200 metri i bagagli sulla sabbia fino all hotel. Insomma, un servizio disdicevole pagato piu del doppio della tariffa normale per avere che cosa? Quando siamo andate a porre la questione all hotel è stato tutto un rimpallo di responsabilità con l agenzia di prenotazione on line che non li aveva avvertiti del nostro arrivo (ma così non è stato con l hotel a Bangkok, dove abbiamo avuto un servizio impeccabile). E poi, ci è stato detto ancora con assoluta faccia tosta, in fondo, si trattava di trascinare le valigie per pochi metri sulla spiaggia! Ma noi avevamo pagato per un confortable tranfert fino all hotel, non fino alla spiaggia! Insomma, esperienza davvero deprecabile.	Servizio molto buono, tolta la questione del trasferimento dall aeroporto all hotel
Ted & Barb 2008-02-19 until 2008-02-22	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach Very nice resort in a Spectaular setting in Rai Lay Bay. We sayed in a Privacy Cottage - which is nicely concieved and designed for comfort and privacy. It worked well. Very pleasant stay - nice beaches, great location and very interesting sights and geography. Rent a long tail boat and visit the nearby islands and national park areas. Gorgeous views, beaches and snokeling. Only downside is the resort restaurant. Dinner there seemed more like an Australian Cattle Feed - poor to non-existent service and mediocre food. Try the restauant at the back end of the Resort.
Maureen Elizabeth Birmingham 2008-02-16 until 2008-02-21	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach Our stay at Railay Bay was very pleasant. Friendly staff that are service oriented. We stayed in the privacy cottages which were quiet and comfortable. However, the beds were way too firm (rock hard). The beach front is great but very sunny in the afternoon with very few options for shade. Not enough lounge chairs at the pool for the number of guests at the hotel. The food was usually good although one chicken dish was obviously re-heated (from a prevoius day) and awful (stated chicken in wine sauce but it was reheated, processed chicken in tomato sauce). The biggest problem with Railay Beach is the constant loud noise of the long-tailed boats coming and going constantly. This ruined the beach s charm and tranquility. The boat traffic should be reduced or relocated. These boats should have mufflers installed and/or should be required to leave the beach more quietly (slowly) accelerating only when they are far from the beach. Their number should be restricted. We would hesitate to return here until this noise issue is resolved.

We had a room on 1st floor of a 2 story building, very nice with a little front porch. Pool right on the beach, you can kayak or walk to Pranang (princess) beach. Short long tail ride to Ao Nang. It really felt like we were on an island. Only way to get there was by long tail boat. Very easy ride. My only complaint is that the restaurant at the hotel is in need of better management.	great, no problems.

The garden is beautiful. The staff is very helpful. The cuisin is excellent and reasonable priced. Nice opportunities to take excursions. I recommend this hotel to everybody. Kate Procter 2008-02-03 until 2008-02-06	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach We stayed in the cheapest rooms, the garden cottages at this resort. The rooms were basic and a little worn but were very clean and had everything you needed. We were towards the back of the resort but only a 5 minute walk to reception and the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, when we arrived we were greeted at our longtail with a wagon to carry our luggage which was nice. I have no idea how they knew what time our boat was. The welcome drink and cool towel was a nice touch. The resort has two beautiful pools, which are busy most of the day. There is lots of families with young children at this resort. Railay is a great place to stay, with a beautiful beach and so many things to keep you busy! Most of the time you will have to travel to Ao Nang by longtail for activities but this is only a 10 min ride and a bit of an adventure. I highly reccomend Railay and this resort.	Excellent. No troubles at all. would use sawadee again.

Room spacious, bathroom ok, decor in bathroom a bit untidy, paint splashes every where. Hotel located on the picturesque Railay West beach, sunsets amazing. Food in restaurant very good, the sea food hot pan out of this world. Restaurant sometimes let down by poor service. Two swimming pools, the one on the beach front not adequate for size hotel, always a rush early on mornings for sun loungers. Transfers very efficient	Very easy and good.

bertrand genoud 2008-01-25 until 2008-01-27	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach luxury privacy cottage was beautiful! and that was the only positve thing about the hotel. the service was bad, from the restaurant to the spa. staff was unhelpfull, and rude. after 4 weeks in thailand, staying in various hotels, from very cheap to luxurious, this one was by far the worse. unfortunatly, bad service seems to be the norm on railay beach. will go back to thailand for sure, but not to railay beach ever again.	fast and easy.

This beach is nicer and cleaner than the Railey east beach. I stayed in a Deluxe room for three nights. I walked around and looked at the other rooms available, but found this room to be the best option. I stayed on the second floor and had a great view. The privacy cottages were nice, but seemed so quiet and secluded. Not as good of a view from those either. The other higher priced rooms seemed to be located near pools with people so they weren t as quiet, so I felt the deluxe room was the nicest with the nicest view and best all around deal. The hotel service is slow, but then when you re in Thailand everything is sabai sabai and things shouldn t be expected to move too fast. Good restaurant and good prices there. The hotel was a little too quiet for my taste because I like more to for nightlife, but for romantic getaways or families it seems perfect. Beware the long tail boats. On my arrival I booked one right at Ao Nang. Had to wade through water up to my knees to the boat. On my departure, I booked a long tail through the hotel. Beware again, I still had to wade through water to get to the boat. Also be careful in the long tail boats -they are not steady and a few people in my boat as well as me all took a tumble in the boat. The boat is all wood and doesn t feel great when you fall down against it! Krabi and Railay are naturally gorgeous. Enjoy!	This service is really good. They had a fast turnaround and responded right away with my booking and payment services.

Nicole Albert 2008-01-15 until 2008-01-18	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach This is an excellent area of Thailand to explore, and this resort is certainly very nice, although it suffers (as does the rest of Thailand) from some very poor plumbing. Our room, although very nice, was constantly plagued by some very unsavory sewage based aromas. Not a nice finish to an otherwise perfect day in Paradise. Look elsewhere if you want spicy authentic Thai, but otherwise the food we tried on the one occasion was satisfactory although a little bland, and drink service was non existent. Given the negatives though, this was one of the best areas we visited in Thailand, and would definitely recommend this beach to all visitors to the area.	We used the service at last minute, and as before we were serviced perfectly.

Overall positive experience and would recommend to others - having said that Railay Beach is no longer the paradise that it used to be - especially at peak season.	excellent - no problems at all.

Carl Johan Soderstjerna 2007-12-14 until 2007-12-26	Railay Bay Resort & Spa, Ao Nang, Railay Beach Railay Bay Resort & Spa fully lived up to our expectations and some more. We had booked 3 private cottages for 12 days which were perfect in the sense of the space full and private terraces suitable for outdoor activities for smaller children and night caps for the adults in the evening. The cottages are large and we had 2 extra beds in ours and still had a lot of space. Nice bath room and a good cooling Jacuzzi and outdoor shower - the kidz loved it. We visited Railey 6 years ago and all resorts have undergone major changes, however the peaceful and secluded feeling still exists which make this a special place to visit. After doing some research of the other resorts we came to the conclusion that Railey Bay Resort is by far the best and their restaurant and pool areas are really good. The dishes are very tasty and large portions, furthermore the waiters and cleaning personnel provided excellent service. We are already longing back and we will definitely be staying at Railey Bay Resort & Spa again.	Our booking were for 9 persons and 3 cottages including transport from Krabi airport (at 3 different arrival times) Everything worked perfectly with pick-up by the resot. All requests were fulfilled by Sawadee and the payment went smoothly and all confirmations and vouchers were received. Thanks for the excellent service.
