In the room you can see the sunset and the sea ,but a little far from the pier. The breakfast is just one of the 8 choises in the menu, not like other hotel s plump breakfast. The furniture is simple and not like the pics in the web.

ok

Upon arrival we were notified that our room wasn t ready and were upgraded to a family suite that was basic but clean (no phone or clock in room). The shower pressure was way too hard and there were two shower heads for hot and cold with a fidley temperature control. The included breakfast was basic but substantial. The location of the hotel is about a 5min walk from the main market/pub area whcich is good as the noise at night is extremely loud and we could hear it on one occasion but due to the position of our room it was bearable. The hotel affords a great view of the bay and the neighbouring islands. We asked if we could remain in the upgraded room and was told one cost and then charged more when we extended our stay. The staff had limited english and don t expect them to fall all over you, they do port your luggage to and from the warf which is a definate requirement. I was stupid enough to leave money in the room and on return back to Australia I found that over $500 was missing from my wallet - there is a possiblity it may have been taken at our hotel in Phuket, but I seriously doubt this as we stayed in a 4 star hotel and it is highly unlikely that the staff would risk their jobs (the maid even had a name card and photo in the room)plus there was extensive security. I will be notifing both hotels of this theft. All in all Phi Phi is more expensive than Phuket and I believe we paid too much for for what we got.

Booking Service was very good no complaints

Located in what I thought to be a wonderful spot, far enough from the night-life to escape but still only a stones throw away from it all ! We had a sea view room with AC. It also had cable TV and a refrigerator. We had the most fantastic view of the bay and the hotel pool. Highly recommend.

Booking service was very good (if a little basic).

It was the second time that we reserve this hotel for this location just outside the center. It is very well located and has a good view. This year, the problem of noises due to the daily festivities on the beach with very hard music from 22 to 4 hours. Restaurant staff not friendly, not understanding English well. Quality of Breakfast very average. The hotel in general is poorly maintained. The tariff is not appropriate

Sawadee.com was very quickly taken into account our claim and proceeded with a discount.

Nice view and nice pool. BUT staff is very unfriendly. Restaurant very bad, lazy, unfriendly staff, dark place. Rooms very very overpriced. They rent very old rooms that ( Sea View AC) for more then 3000 !!! Baht. 6 Years ago they rent the same room for only 600 Baht. View is fantastic. But room is old fashioned, with moskitos - large but not worth the money. Every night you here very very nerving boom boom music from town from 9pm till 3am. Without earplugs you cannot stand it.

I had a bungalow. everything was OK. the room, pool, breakfast and cleaning. i had nothing to say until late evening, the hotel is located at the far end of the Lao Dalum beach, and in the middle of the beach you have IBIZA BAR! they start to play music around 7-8pm and stops around 3-4am. I could feel the bass in my doublebed all the time. and some songs my windows could chatter! If you are out all night and comes home VERY late this might be a good place to stay. And if you have a family, DONT stay at this hotel!!! I understand that the hotel cant be responible for the bar at the beach, but when you are on a vaccation you want a good night sleep! If you choose to stay, buy some good earplugs!

Great views, briliantly located pool, decent breakfast, big rooms with balconies, helpful and friendly staff, a travel agency, mini mart, laundry service and massage on site, and all for about £50 a night. Brilliant.

Faultless booking service, no problems at all. I booked 7 hotels via Sawadee and all were fine.

Phi Phi Viewpoint Resort, Phi Phi Island, Loh Dalum Bay
We stayed in the smallest bungalows on the upper row. They have magnificent views and a big balcony, but inside they are very basic. The rooms have 3 beds, 1 double and 1 single, so although they are big and airy there is no space for a table to sit down and work at, and the upper area has no internet, only the reception and restaurant area. Breakfast is good value and includes juice, tea-coffe and a choice of different food from the menu (omelet and toast, ceral and fruit etc.) The pool area is located in a great spot, and the pool seems clean and well maintained. Sometimes crowded and a little small if you want to do some real swimming, as you have to turn after every five strokes. We had good experiences with the reception staff, but were a little put off by the room staff when they started throwing stones at a lovely, beautiful lizard on the wall of a bungalow... come on, get a life and even if you dont, respect the animals and dont make unneccessary noise!! In the nighttime, from around six, there is noise enough from the nearby bar, so dont expect to sleep until around 2 am when they turn down their horrible disco music with the loud bass that is just impossible to cope with for more than a week at least. All in all, a great place compared to most other accommodation when you take the price into account - if only it was not for the bar we would have stayed even longer, but sleep is a necessity for us - without it we dont get to explore the island.

No problems.

Really pretty view and nice bungalows a (bit) away from the noice at night. Some cleaning of the area would be a plus. The breakfast setup (100 baht cupons) is disapointing. No baby cots available.

Quick, but didn t check up on the request for a baby cot.

The bungalows were in a good condition. Simple but okay. The Cleaning was alright, but my mirror in the bathroom wasn t cleaned on top since weeks. But the biggest problem was the discothek at the beach (Ibiza-Bar). The noise every night until 4 o clock in the morning is an unacceptable impertinence for paying customers. Because of the music it wasn t relaxing to use the nice balcony. I can not recommend to anybody to stay in this bungalows at the hill accept you want to have big eyerings. So 4 nights with just 3 hours sleep was not holiday, it was a torture. It s a big shame for such a nice island close to paradise. And the receptionists answer to get to the police by yourself is not that way you should solve problems.

The booking was alright. no problems.

great location and scenery. breakfast and pool are also great. rooms are big and movie channel was best I ve seen in Thailand. Only problem with this resort is a beach bar not to far away that has music pumpin until at least 4a.m. so make sure you get a room with air conditioning.

booking service let me change my reservation which is unheard of with other booking services.

The bungalows were lovely! Very tidy and tropical-styled. We had a bungalo with a fan which was great! Really cheap and good. The pool outside was amazing!Phi Phi was breathtaking! Though there was no buffet breakfast in the hotel which was a pitty but the food served was still ok.We had to walk a bit up the hill to the bungalow, which was safe on the other hand in case of evacuation etc. The hotel charges for a reception deposit box which you get a key for and every time pay for reuse (around 0.50p-£1.The location is really good and from the bungalow you can see almost like from the viewpoint! really recommended for someone looking for a cheap stay!

The service was good. Nice environment round the pool, with a Moijito bar that really is worth trying. A little bit disturbance from the nearby nightclubs during the late nights/early morning. But the hotel is great and I probably visit the resort again.

Phi Phi Viewpoint is on the outskirts of the main part of Phi Phi Don and is therefore quite a walk from the Pier. However, they make up for the location with a beautiful view of the island from the bungalows which are situated on the hill. The bungalows are spacious with a balcony, but are mosquito infested so remember to bring some repellent. The pool is quite good, although small and there arent enough deck chairs and breakfast is also good. Overall a pleasant stay.

I would not recomend this hotel to other travllers. We were booked into thid hotel for 6 nights but checked out after only 2 and went back to Phuket instead. I had read a number of bad reviews prior to my stay here and had I not already paid in full for the stay then I would have made other arrangements. There were several reasons why we left early ; - The pool is very small and there are only 8 sun loungers around it, which get filled up very early. This would not be a prolem if the beach was good however the water is too shalow for swimming and at it s deepest only came up to my knees. Becuase of this when the tide goes out, it goes out for miles, so you are even unable to paddle unless you walk a long way. I here this beach and Ton Sai beach are theworst for swimming and Had I known this before I would have booked into a hotel on another beach. Also the first night in the hotel I was bitten 10 times on my face by either bed bugs or by some other insects which managed to get in via the gap in the patio doors. As other people have said the walk into town, although quite short, it is not very pretty as you have to pass lots of damage which has not been cleaned up by the tsunarmi. Ton Sai village is not very nice either, the streets are very narrow and full of back packer type bars which in an evening have their own touts who try to harras you into visiting their bar. This reminded me Magaluf rather than he paradise island I was expecting. In hindsight I would not have stayed on this island and would just have gone for one of the many day trips from Phuket, where at least I would hvae seen the nice sights instead of the horrible ones. If you want to spend time on a small island and are looking for paradise then Phi Phi isn t for you, and you should try one of the multitude of other Island that can be found in Thailand i.e. Surin Island or Similan Islands.

This is the first time I have used Sawadee and have used them for all 4 of my Thailand bookings and they have been excellent. They have made ammendments to some of my bookings at short notice at my request and got me a full refund for my Bangkok hotel when we had to change our itinary due to the airport closures.

Great place. If you can get one of the new fan bungalows on the hill it is worth the walk up for the view you get. Pool is nice and you can order cocktails in it. The staff and mini market are also helpful and very friendly.

View point Resort staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool and bar have a great view over the beach and just a short walk into town. The cocktails at the bar were fantastic and a huge variety to choose from. Room was comfortable and clean. Would definetely stay here again.

No hassles with booking, was kept up to date and had no problems despite us making a late booking.

we was staying there for 5 days in a see view bungalow with the number v7. we was paying roundabout 2.300,- thb. the view was very nice and the room was realy big. sometimes the water in the bathroom was not clear. looks like a brown riverwater. but if we let it flow for a longer time it gets clearer and cleaner. the bedcovers were also not realy clean and wite. the stuff in the kitchen was smoking while he was cooking. at the pool we were missing some umbrellas for the sun.

everything fine.

Phi Phi Viewpoint Resort, Phi Phi Island, Loh Dalum Bay
This place was pretty great. It s a hike from the pier, but, if you locate the Viewpoint Staff that is waiting for you, they will take your bags for you. And they ll lead you through the town to your room. Viewpoint is located perfectly far enough away from town so that you don t have to hear loud music when you sleep. But, sometimes there s a beach party that may cause some noise, but it s not bad enough to keep you up. We thought the staff were very nice. There was a cool 0degreez pool with a good bar that served cocktails poolside. From the pool, you have a perfect view of the beach. Also, just down the road there s a really cool hangout called the Sunflower Bar. It s cheap drinks and food and pretty tasty. The only bad thing is that the path from town to the resort is poorly lit and badly paved. It s no problem if you bring a flashlight. We stayed in the Fan Bungalow. It s easily the best rooms in the hotel. Sure, there s no hot water, but you don t need it. With the location of these bungalows, you get lots of airflow so that you can stay cool very easy. These rooms have the best view on the island. Your balcony is your own private Sunset Viewpoint. You can stack your fridge full of cheap bears from town and have a great pre-party at your room watching the sunset. The Fan Bungalows are a small hike up the hill but they re worth it. They re private and have big beds. Also, the concierge at the hotel offers cheap travel and tours on and around the island. The people are all pretty helpful. The hotel breakfast is good too. Pretty slow and not very many smiles but it s good enough. I d give this place 5 out of 5. Location. Location. Location.

Usefull service. You ll save money booking here while others book when they show up.

I think that this hotel is by far the most peaceful hotel on the island (not counting those hotels that are far away from everything). The staff are very helpful. The beach front room is very nice and worth it. And the pool has the most amazing view. I just hope that the path and construction between the hotel and the town will be done soon. It just a little hard to walk when it rains. But everything else is great.

Booking through this website is very convenient and easy. I would like it even more if it has an option that you can choose not to have breakfast included.

we did not expect our hill view appartment to be a ten minute walk up an extremely steep slope. The fan offered no relief from the heat as it was incredibly weak. Barely saw the staff to be able to comment on their attitudes, but I did recieve food poisoning from this hotel s restaurant. Ko Phi Phi itself was a very big let down with beach party noise booming through our room every night. Beaches were filthy, not the paradise we had hoped for.

If you book a bungalow with fun, you will have a great view to the bay but... 1) the insects can get into the room easily via the holes of the mosquito net or under the doors. 2) you can not direct the fan as you want, it is fixed to the ceiling and turning around. 3) old and used stuff in the room, no way to put or hang your things and cloth... they do not invest to renew the bungalows. 4) no way to get a smile nor from the guy at the reception, neighter from the staff of the restaurant.

Dont expect great luxury.It-s clean , staff are friendly but everything is quite basic. The bungalows have a beach view but the beach is about 10 minutes away , in front of the seafront bungalows are just great stones coming out of the sea( the view is quite beatiful but don t expect to have a beach in front of your bungalow as i said ).The pool is very small and if u don t go there early there is no chance u will find a place .The bar by the side of the pool is excellent. The reception staff and the little helpers are very friendly, for a small tip they will carry your luggage to and from the pier( which is about 20 min walking away). The cleaning staff are very good and they come in every morning to change towels and sheets and clean the room.Expect very loud music until about 3 am from the 2 discos on the beach that are about 300 metres away( it-s part of the atmosphere in phiphi , nobody goes to bed until 3-4 am :-)) ).It-s not a bad place to spend a few days , i would give it a 7 out of 10.

Extremely disappointed with this place. It was the most expensive of 3 hotels we stayed at during our 2 weeks stay in thailand and also the worst. The rooms are very overpriced even at low season prices. They are in a very poor state. We took a so-called beachfront room but it is in no way beachfront, barely even a view of the sea and at least a 5 minute walk to actually get down to the sea itself. The nearby bars play music until 1-3am every night and make no mistake when I say you can hear the music as clearly as if you had a stereo playing in your hotel room. The water stinks every time you run a tap or use the shower, I can confirm that another hotel extremely close to the viewpoint does not have the same problem as I stayed there on my last trip. The windows leaked when it rained, there was a very poor choice of food for breakfast. The pool is so small it is almost non-existant and is also very dirty, it is use primarily for training first time divers from the onsite Blue View Divers ...and now the good points...the Mojito Cocktail Bar, this was the only thing that made the stay bareable, possibly the best cocktails i ve ever tasted, Evan & Connie are a great pair and it s a shame they are stuck here at this resort. Also the staff here for the most part are very polite and friendly, then again, that is to be expected at the prices we paid.

Flawless...no problems, except remember once you book, that s it, no change, no refund, you re stuck with the place, we booked and then read bad comments posted afterwards about this place and had no choice but to stay here.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Two huge problems: 1) showers use salty /smelly ground water - don t buy their excuse that every hotel on Phi Phi has the same problem. We talked to plenty of travelers that did not have this problem and paid far less than us. 2) extremely loud night club music until 2 AM kept us up Hotel is generally very basic and not particularly clean. The pool has a nice view, and that s about it. The management seems to cut corners wherever they can. For example, we found a dirty / rusty screw inside our pillow. Mgmt said they are no longer placing orders with that supplier, but offered us NOTHING in terms of refund.

Phi Phi Viewpoint is one of the nicest hotels on the island. My wife and I did a lot of research before traveling to Phi Phi, and Viewpoint offered everything we were looking for: Views, Location, and Some Exclusivity. We were able to walk to town every morning, but were far away enough that farangs did not wake us up in the middle of the night. Rooms are very clean, service is great, we will be back to this hotel!!!

Booking service did its job - booked the hotel.

finds that they have pretty good service as the hotel staff was waiting at the pier and help us with our luggage and direction to the hotel for check-in. was quite a distance walk but its worth it given the lovely view compensating the fact that there s no beach at your doorstep. open-air shower was good but only downside is sea-salt water but guess its the same in any hotel at phi phi island. definately value for money =D would recommend for those whom want a quiter rest-in after the a whole activity filled-day.

The choice of VPR could have been a very good one for many reasons : good location , at the end of Lo Dalam Bay where it could be very quiet although situated only 10 minutes’ walk from the Ibiza-like Tonsai village center , pleasant and efficient staff ( not to say friendly : the lady by the reception desk in charge of booking tours) . Our Deluxe 2nd row a/c bungalow was sufficiently equipped – 2 showers (the open air one is to be used preferably in order to avoid water smells in the room). Breakfast(menu) was OK although rather plain. You can order take-away. Very nice to relax in the small swimming pool in the evening, enjoying bay view. A big problem, though : a beach bar ( the Sunset bar) situated about 300 meters from the resort overwhelms the whole area with music turning to techno bass blitzkrieg till 2 a.m ( excellent when you have to get up at 7 for some excursion tour!) . Apparently everybody knows but nothing can be done to, at least, have them turn down the volume. In conclusion : good value , partly ruined by external disturbances .

Excellent. Helpful and efficient.I always recommend that website to my colleagues preparing holidays to Thailand

Small pool a bonus. Views from it excellent. Tidal bay so be prepared for low water levels seaside. good booking service. Included breakfast nothing special really. Two types of hillside bungalows - un-renovated ( if you are looking for a cheapie ) and renovated ( on Sawadee). Even better views. Last resort on the bay to the northso a distance from town but nothing is far away on Phi Phi so not a real problem. You get met at the boat with a trolley & pusher for your luggage - no cars on Phi Phi. All in all about a 6/10.

Sawadee is excellent. 1st time I have used a booking service and they were spot on. Properties on the higher $ side that what is available on the ground but reasonable value for money.

The hotel was lovely... excellent location as it was away from the main bustling town area so we managed to get a quiet night s sleep. The views were amazing both from the bedroom window and from the swimming pool. The staff were very nice and friendly, we loved the pool-side drinks we were able to order. The food was a tad expensive though but other than that we were very happy with our stay. Highly recommended!!!

A resort with an amazing view over the bay but very overpriced and low standard. Stayed in a fan bungalow which was hot as a sauna 24/7. The mosquito net at the windows were damaged and the rest of the room was in a bad standard. The breakfast was extremly poor, a selection of 4 small menues; for example 1) tea/coffee & toast 2) juice & yoghurt/müsli. They have a small poolarea with the same nice view. Good location though, by end of the beach on the hillside.

very good!

nice place, pool was nice and cheap fan rooms are clean and have great views. Only down point is they don t advertise taking your bags for you when arriving so we had to carry ours a long way in boiling heat. They need a clear sign. Island not all that, very crowded and abit intense

good booking service

we don t recoment this place to romantic couples.During the day there is a perfect sea view but in the afternoon everthing is change %100 cos of the tide.Rooms are simple and not clean enough.Pool is dirty and it s little bit bigger than bath tube. This hotel aiming high budget holiday makers but the servis and facilities are not adequate enuogh for the money you pay.

Absolutely wonderful!!! I didn t know exactly what to expect after reading some mixed reviews, in fact, what do people mean by room is basic ?? What needs to be in a room where you ll probably spend a couple of hours of your entire day?! We got there and were greeted by everyone on duty. The room (superior bungalow air con.) was clean, spacious, had breathtaking views of Loh Dalum, 2 english movie channels plus the news, a soft bed with clean sheets, a fridge with sodas and free water bottles and a furnished balcony. So I don t get what the fuss is all about. Breakfast is simple, yes, but they have 10 different combos, so if you re there for 10 nights, you could have 10 different meals. The thing about the shower having no roof - it was a wonderful experience to take a shower under starry skies, I ll remember this forever. A very sad thing, a short walk from the hotel there s a bar that looks like Universal Studios that plays music into the night though no one is there. I didn t hear a thing from my room as I sleep through the night and the air con. blocks it out, but I heard a few people complainting about it during breakfast. But fortunately it has nothing to do with the hotel, and there s nothing they can do about it. The hotel is situated far enough from the crowds and close enough to walk back and forth for a little action. It s also a money saver cause you don t have to take longtails just to get out of the hotel - they are very expensive, not at all like people say. You can t really swim in Loh Dalum cause the longtails leave a lot of dirt and the water is so hot you feel you re inside a soup. But it s very picturesque. Nui Bay is quite close and for 600 baht they ll take you there. We ended up staying an extra night, we had such a great experience. I will definetely stay there again, even if it s not the cheapest in the area, it s just worth the asking price. Do take into consideration the hillside problem if you have mobility issues. Even if you re fit, it s just too hard to climb the steps. Overall, an excellent hotel. And all y all fussy people need to unpack yo bags and stay home!

The room was small, drab and dirty. I am certain that we could have found a nicer room for the money. The only positive aspect was it did have a decent view and a nice pool. We paid too much and I would not recommend.

Great booking and fast response.
