Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Great location, close to the ferry dock and close to the longtail boats and shops. There are building works going on next door at the moment, but it didn t bother us too much. The rooms are a bit on the older side, but still fine if your staying short term. |
Quick and easy. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Horrible hotel! It is not a resort but a construction site. I guess at least the construcion will last for 3-4 months. The location is convenient but not good scenary. The receptionist was not interested in working at all. She kept a lot of guests waiting and service attitude is worst I have seen in Thailand (not only to me but also to a lot of other customers). She kept telling you you cannot do this, otherwise you would be fined xx B . Are we going to a prison or a resort? overall, very bad experience. This hotel belongs to phi phi hotel group. When you call yourself a group, you should at least deliver some quality service. But I didn t feel at all during my stay. |
I booked 5 times with you but this is the most unpleasant one. I originally booked bay view resort but it was fully booked. Then you recommended phiphi banyan villa. How can you recommend such a construction site to me? Yes, you mentioned in your website there is construction during this period. However, you didn t mentioned to me in the email to me. Since I originally didn t want to book this hotel, so I didn t read hotel introduction carefully. But when I arrived there, I realize this is not a hotel you should have recommended to me. It is a shame. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Banyan Villa is central to both of the amazing beaches on Phi Phi with great shops and bars surrounding. Reception were a bit grumpy but our rooms were just fine for our 2 night stay. Dinning in their beach fish restaurant was a little hard work...noone served us for a good 20 mins and then once served we waited more than an hour and still 2 people didn t get their food!! All around Phi Phi there are building sites for obvious reasons so expect some amount of construction, but without a doubt Phi Phi is the most amazing island in Thailand. |
Quick and easy to us. Perfect everytime! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach This hotel is not ready to have guests. There is alot of construction work going on. The pool is full of insects, to have a swim you need to clear away some of the stuff. The best thig was that I had only booked for 2 nights and then stayed in the Cabana hotel which I would reccommend if staying on Phi Phi. |
First we were told it was fully booked and then I called again and there was availability. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach The hotel was amazing! The location was perfect- right in the middle of everything. I stayed at the Garden Villas and it was worth the extra $10 USD a night. The staff was wonderful and always willing to have a nice chat. The restaurant has a gorgeous view, and having breakfast there every morning was a highlight of the trip. The pool was great, and what can I say, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitley come back again. I had no issues whatsover, except that I wished I could have stayed longer. |
Made booking easy by allowing me to pre-pay the hotel. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Everything in phiphi is accessible to everywhere on the island. Phi Phi Banyan is a little run down. The rooms are dark and so are the balconies. They are working on some of it and a hotel next door so there is a bit of noise and smells. It seemed to us that it would have been better to stay in Phi Phi Banyan s sister hotel - Phi Phi Casta. the pool looked nicer and it was closer to the swimming beach. Everything at Banyan was adaquit, although for the price I think we could have done better. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Stayed at Banyan Villa, nice hotel with decent rooms. Totally recommended. The only drawback is that the no visitors policy, which we felt to be very restricted. (No visitors after 10pm). We were with a bunch of people and some stayed at Banyan s aother sister hotel P.P Casita. So, if you are with a bunch; stay at one hotel. The restaurant also serves good food, friendly staff and the location is great! opposite a beach (although the famous beach to swim is just a few minutes away which was fine with us)! |
Booked via sawadee a few times Ms. Tim and Ms. Kanun have especially been very helpful even booked a taxi for us from Krabi airport to the pier. Highly recommended! Thank you! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Bathrooms now in need of upgrading which I think they have a plan to do.Staff effecient and nice. Transfer to pier is good. Overall, Good location right in centre of village and probably worth the money in low season. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach My friende and I have travelt all over Thailand, and this must be the worts placed we stayed. The rooms are ok and clean, but the attitude of the staff was really bad. The Banyan is a part of Phi Phi Hotel group and some of my friends stayed at the casita and it was the same attitude problem. So try finding another hotel.... |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach This hotel need improvement. the bathroom are dirty & smelly & even flood when i m bathing. The staff are rude, i have to wait from morning to afternoon in order to check in. the staff say i can only check in at 2 pm when i reach there at 10am. when i come again at 2 pm, they inform me the room is still not ready yet.a disappointed room with expensive charges. |
excellent! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach nice hotel on the central walk way on Koh Phi Phi ; the Banyan wing is newer than the garden wing ; beautiful, well furbished rooms in a tropical garden with swimming pool ; every time a ferry arrives, some one from the hotel is at the pier to pick up your luggage. |
fast and good service |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach The place was very nice and clean. We stayed at the upper wing and like that a lot. The bed was absolutely the best one during our trip! :) Resort s location is perfect, near to the main pier and beach street. Pool area is also nice. The restaurant area where breakfast is served wasn t so nice with plastic tables and chairs but there are lots of other nice restaurants and bakeries nearby. We would recommend! |
Perfect! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Mixed feelings about this hotel. Room was nice but bathroom wasn t as clean as I would want it. Shower and toilet look old. Choice of satalite channels wasn t very good. Pool is nice but missing umbrellas. The best thing about this hotel is it s location: close the heart or Phi Phi partying but quiet. |
Too bad that reservation requires 100% of payment. Otherwise good. |
| Geoffrey Coutts 2008-03-23 until 2008-03-27 |
Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach This was the second best of 5 hotels i stayed in accross SE asia. The best thing about it was the location. It s right in the middle of town, which was nice, especially considering the small size of the town. It was easy to find places to eat or go out nearby and it was easy to catch longtail boats right out front. The negatives were that there was a bad smell in the area and the AC was a bit weak. Also a whole wing is along a popular alley so there is some noise. Aside from that it was a nice place. While I wouldn t mind going back there at all I may try something different next time. |
sawadee is awesome. I ve used it 4 times and they were perfect. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Good Hotel, for the island, rooms clean and near everything. The only thing is we both got a very nasty bought of food poising from the breakfast, so beware |
booking and service is good, check is late at 2pm so often when you arrive on the boat, you have to wait for hours in the lobby. |
| Kaitlin van Leeuwen 2008-03-04 until 2008-03-07 |
Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach The hotel itself was pleasant. The rooms were cleaned everyday and towels were provided for the pool and the beach. The location was ideal for access to everything on the island. The staff was friendly and the rooftop garden with a spectacular view was the perfect spot for a proposal. Having said that, the breakfast was somewhat to be desired. The exact same things were served all three days we were there and there wasn t much variety or many western choices. We really enjoyed our stay. |
Sawadee.com is easy and safe to use. I have used this booking service several times and have never had any problems. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach We stayed at the villa wing lower unit and it was a little worn down. There was a 3 cm gap under the front door, so cockroaches could easily get in. We will stay in the garden wing next time, because it s newer. But the location is perfect, and the breakfast was ok. We love Phi Phi, so we will definately come back! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone and for 2700 baht per night, you can find something a hell of a lot better! The rooms are totally run down, towels left in the room were old and stained. |
excellent. Well done!! |
| John Atella 2008-02-08 until 2008-02-15 |
Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Booking was easy. When we got there (2nd time at hotel), we were greeted by very unfriendly female desk manager. During a 1 week stay our room was cleaned 3-4 times. Breakfast is same every day as it was 2 years ago when we stayed there (yucky food..can t they get some variety!). If you don t have kids over age 10 (700 baht per 10+ year old) and are staying just a few days, it is a good place though. Although, rooms have large gaps around balcony doors and unless AC is on very cold, mosquitoes are a problem. This will be our last visit to Banyan Villa due to our kids being 10+ years old. Just makes the place too expensive. We were told that even if our kids didn t use their extra beds (700 baht per kid per stay), we would be charged. The location of the place is good though...we will miss it but not at the current price. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Very nice staff, rooms and pool in the middle of downtown Phi Phi. The streetlife can be somewhat annoying in night time for some of the rooms but if you can stand it, then this is the place to stay. However,a big dissapointment was the central part of Phi Phi Don around the harbour area and the beach cross the harbour where the Tsunami hit. Noone seems to take responsibility to build it up nicely again. It´s a pity since it has such a potential. Rest of Phi Phi is just as nice as before. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach I requested Upper Banyan Wing room with pool view and that was exactly what I got. It was a beautiful room, however with one big problem. Room 306 is gable-end and facing south. Thus the AC can never keep up with the enormoous influx of solar energy. I kindly requested a change and they moved me into room 108 wich is upstairs, near pool but with garden view. This room was perfect except from the safe box that kept resetting so I had to call the master engineer to come with his palm pilot, the Jesus-box and cable to fault-find, open and fix it. Avoid rooms 306 and 105 that face south on gable. Best rooms are 307, 308 that overlook the pool. The pool is clean and nice in the garden. My room was clean and nice and cool. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, but sometimes stressed when large day-tour groups arrived for lunch. Buffet breakfast was included in the price and it was the best breakfast in any hotel during my 3-week trip. The buffet contained everything I could want - and more including fresh vegetables and salad plus the usual fruit. The location is only a few minutes walk from the boat pier and the hotel staff is waiting there and will take your luggage to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and would probably book again should I return to Phi Phi Island. |
Booking service was faultless. I will use them again. Sawadee.com charged my CC exactly on the THB what was displayed price. The comment is valid as the other booking service i used displayed 1376 THB but charged my CC 1465 THB for another hotel. (AsiaRooms) |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Nice grounds and pool area - but thats about it! The rooms are totally run down, towels left in the room were old and stained (gross). The staff was not friendly at all and I encountered a problem and asked for management, I was told that all the managers were in Bangkok for a meeting, so no one was able to assist with the problems. The island has no twist top bottles and that being the case - the rooms should be equiped with openers! When I asked for one, the housekeeper said no and continued with her work grumbling loudling in there language. I was told that she did not speak english, but I showed hand motions of what I was looking for should have been acceptable and understandable. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone and for 2700 baht per night, you can find something a hell of a lot better! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach We stayed in the newer garden view rooms - very comfortable and spacious. Quiet split AC, double glazing, pleasant balcony, good quality fittings and furnishings. Good service. Our rooms were not cleaned one day, but when we informed the front desk, the situation was immediately rectified. Pretty garden and pool. Not enough chairs around the pool - only 6 or 7. Good breakfast in a lovely beachfront setting, but the same every day. Beach out front not really usable - many longtails moored there. Located in busy area, so easy access to shopping and everything else. Nearby disco thumps until the early hours - double glazing muffles the noise somewhat. We enjoyed staying here for our 4 nights and would recommend it highly. However, as we are an older couple, for our next visit to Phi Phi we will try to find somewhere away from the disco and nightlife noise. |
Excellent, as always. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach My friends and I really enjoyed staying at the Banyan Villas. The hotel was very easy to find from the pier and the staff were very helpful in allowing us to leave our bags at the front while waiting for our rooms. We thought the rooms were adequate for our four day stay at Phi Phi Island. They were always well maintained and easily accessible. We absolutely loved having the balcony overlooking the pool. I found the bathroom slightly outdated but it did not stop us from having such a great time at the Banyan Villas. Tonsai Restaurant was ok. We enjoyed the breakfast more than the dinner. They had an adequate variety of foods and I loved the Omelette and egg bar! The Villas were relatively central to where all the action occurs. They are about 5 minutes walk to the beach and the local bars and hotspots. We never found noise to be too much of an issue which was also a plus. Overall I would definitely stay at the Banyan Villas when I return to Phi Phi Island. A great place for young people going to Phi Phi Island for a relaxing and enjoyable time! |
Booked the majority of my trip through Sawadee. Very helpful and very reliable |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach The villa is quite old and dated, the towles a bit grubby but were changed regularly. The place is central on Phi Phi,about 10 mins walk from the pier, we did have to make our own way from the ferry, i did expect someone to meet us to help with the bags, but no one showed. The bathroom stank of urine when the shower was used and the hairdryer didnt work properly but apart from that the general location and place was ideal, we had 2 children aged 11 and 15 with us plus my mum - all enjoyed the stay except for the few issues stated above. we also broke a glass by accident and was charged for it!!!!!!!!!!! 50 baht - not the end of the world, accidents do happen and i was annoyed that we were charged. The staff were ok. Breakfast was 7.30 - 10am - would have liked a bit longer maybe till 11am but the food was good. Not many places to lay by the pool but the pool was nice and in lovely gardens. Security was around on a night time which i thought was good. |
no problems with the booking |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach not a bad hotel right by the beaches and shops we stayed in the upper garden wing much better than the lower wing.the room was cleaned every day the only falt we had were the showers they were not very powerful just a trickle at times and the water did not go down the plug hole very well so you were left standing in dirty water while you had a shower .the breakfast was very good always warm and plenty there sat on the beach to eat every morning very nice . i would reccomend staying at this hotel as it was good value for money in a good location and clean. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach good hotel we stayed on the upper garden wing much better than the lower only bad point about it was the shower somtimes you just got a trickle of water and the water did not go down very well so you were standing in dirty water while having a shower. the rooms were very clean and quite roomy with plenty of storage space and a safe for valuables .breakfast was very good and plenty on offer .the location of this hotel is very good right by all the shops and the beaches and every thing else thats going .i would reccomend this hotel as it is good value for money and in a good location. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach this hotel is right in the middle of every thing we stayed in the upper garden wing this looked better than the lower wing.the room was very clean and there was plenty of storage space clean bedding every day.the only complaint i had about this hotel was that the shower did not work very well somtimes just a trickleand the water did not go down the drain very well that meant youstood in the dirtyshower water while having a wash. breakfast was very good and always hotplenty there too if i went to phi phi again i would stop at the ban yan again. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach We enjoyed a wonderful time here. The room was always spotless when we returned, even the towels were folded into different designs every day! The staff was fantastic. What a perfect setting to have breakfast - right next to the sea! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Rooms are good. There was some noise from the outside, but it did not bother my sleep. Pool is a bit small. It is very close to shops, restaurants, etc, and the beach were boats arrive and depart - but taking the boat is the only thing you do at that beach. we ended up going to long beach (hat yao) almost everyday, if i were to do i again, i d probably choose to stay there - although it is far from the shops, restaurants, etc, there is a trade-off. |
Worked pretty well, i had to pay in advance but rates were slightly cheaper than otherwise. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach the location is good. and garden is attractive. the service is good for most of the time. but i am not happy about the leaving. in the morning, when we checked out, the front desk agreed to send us to the ferry. but at noon, they refused to carry our luggages because we are the only two guests to leave at that time. and they lay that the ship at that time was cancelled and said that if we didn t believe we could go with our luggages by ourselves!!! and we did so under the hot sun, and boarded the boat as we expected. so bad memorry of the leaving process. |
efficient and easy for use |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Nice place. Very close to markets and restuarants, very close to the pier, and only 2 minutes walk to the swimming beach. The pool is nice. The staff are very friendly. There was someone at the pier to meet us when we arrived on the boat, but he wasn t holding a sign like all the others and was hard to find in the crowd of people. We would stay there again though. The rooms were decent size, and both our rooms had nice little balconies with sun lounges on them. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Great location and staff was very nice and helpful. Bed was more comfortable than other places we stayed in Thailand. The only big negative was how loud it was in the evening if you were trying to sleep and not out on the street doing shots of booze. |
Perfect! |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach A Fine hotel for the money, excellent location, lovely complimentary breakfast and 10% discount for dinner at the restaurant. Staff were all very helpful very very friendly. If I had to say something negative, it would be that the bathrooms are a bit dated and smelly, but I would happily return to this hotel. |
Best and easiest system in Thailand |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Perfect. Cant find anything that wasn´t great, except myself who forgot to leave money in the tipbox at reception when leaving. Can´t wait to come back there again. Thankyou for a nice and friendly stay. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach Banyan Villa - Room is old and bathroom very old and not nice Garden wing - 200 bahts more and is new, a lot nicer We changed rooms after 1 night to the garden wing. After the 3 paid nights we moved to the Phi phi hotel (same group and only 30meters away)and was also 500 bahts a night cheaper and the hotel was newer and nicer - but the pool was not as good but the beach is only 50m away. Both have a very central location - good base to explore the surroundings. Clean and breakfast was Ok pretty similar to all the other 2000-3000 bahts a night hotels. Would recommned the phi phi hotel and banyan garden wing only. |

Phi Phi Banyan Villa, Phi Phi Island, Ton Sai Beach nice place close to everything, clean, freindly staff, breakfast ok, had better, would stay there again.only downs for me where the drain in the shower smelled bad when in the shower, and air con was right above the bed so it would get cold at night but if u turn it off its hot.i stuck with cold.rooms were made well it was good.the restaurant was good also.i spent many hours eating and drinking there.ps.the cocktails werent too flash.i felt they were rushed. |
