R. Dickson 2008-11-18	Golden Beach Resort, Ao Nang, Phranang Beach The hotel was great! It was in a quiet end of Ao Nang by the beach. Beautiful pool and lovely garden restaurant overlooking the beach and sea. Food and service was excellent. Room included a large breakfast buffet. Very clean and highly recommended.	We have booked several times with sawadee.com and trust their service.

We were pleasantly surpised as we had read from one of the guest reviews that the hotel was a bit run done. The staff were very courteous and helpful. It would be good if the breakfast can be improved. Would also help if the rooms were provided with an iron.	Excellent, prompt and helpful service.

Nice & big rooms (we stayed at the building rooms - Should mention that building room as no double bed rooms. It was taken care by hotel - by combining two twin beds to one huge double bed). Reasonable breakfast and good service. A must do massage in the hotel - good price, good massage and no need to look around the area. we enjoyed our stay a lot !	good and easy.

The breakfast was good and the swimmingpool very big. To bad there was no shade spot in the swimming pool (only a little bit after 4 pm). The pool was prety warm so for cooling down it was not so good. The location almost on the beach (only seperated by small road (almost no traffic)). Personal was very friendly. Did enjoy!	perfect

The suite was excellent and our friends stayed in a beach front bungalow that was also excellent. I highly recommend this resort..the pool is beautiful and staff helpful and friendly	Very easy and professional booking service

We had a Seaview Bungalow which did indeed have a beach view but the room really needed updating. The whole resort actually was a little run down. The breakfast was adequate but very average. The location to the main street & restaurants was about a 500m walk. If you like the beach at your door then this is probably the best location in Au Nang but as far as quality goes it s not a great choice. Also the staff speak almost zero English which makes things difficult but this seems to be the case everywhere we went in Thailand.	No problems. A great service that we will use again.

Mary Parent 2008-03-15 until 2008-03-19	Golden Beach Resort, Ao Nang, Phranang Beach Loved our stay at Golden Beach and Krabi was the favorite part of our trip. Positives- Location is excellent, steps from beach. Had one regular room and had one cottage as they were full and had to upgrade one of the rooms. Rooms were spotless, front dest staff were kind, understood most of what we were asking them..just takes patience when communicating. Pool was beautiful, has a deep end, a divided children s pooland available shade from the very hot sun. Breakfast was pretty good, not much variety but we didn t care about that. Outdoor restaurant is lit up at night and is really pretty. My husband passed out twice from heat stroke? in the hotel restaurant(never before) while we were there. The staff called for medical help and were wonderful about helping us. Negatives- not many. Beds are quite hard and it can take getting used to but that s just the way it is in most hotels. Although the staff is so kind, the service in the restaurant needs a big improvement..i.e. meals will come 15 minutes apart (or more) sometimes and once they forgot the order all together and this was when it was not busy at all. I think the staff and cooks? maybe need further training. However the food was good, we just went elsewhere for most meals. Because of the unavailabity of 2 of the same room type, our rooms were very far apart which was a bit frustrating. No clock in room so you should bring your own. I loved this hotel and would stay there again. I have 3 teenaged kids (took 2 with us). This hotel would be great for families...just don t expect to have your special reservation requests met (i.e. rooms adjoining or close together because they often are full). Plan around that. Good job Golden Beach!

We felt very comfortable here, shops and restaurants are just a few minutes walk. there were some great tours to the surrounding area. Will recommend to friends.	Very easy, even with lots of emails since we booked late in the busy period. I wish Sawadee would take Baht (bank exchange rate + 1% CC charge) from my Credit Card and not GBP (inter bank/tourist rate + 1% CC charge) as this would be cheaper for me. Will recommend to friends.

We would really like to stay at this hotel again if- or when- we go back to Krabi!	Everything went smoothly. I asked for recommandation, but never got feedback. Had to chose the hotel myself, but had good luck!

The only problem was that the people on both sides of our room spent a lot of time smoking on their balconies. Everytime we wanted to let some fresh air in, we would get smoke. As all the rooms were fully booked, they couldn t do anything - this was frustrating as we requested a non-smoking room.	Easy to book and pay - no problems.

Requested Aonang Villa but was told that there were no vacancies when I repeated my booking beginning of July.

Room is big and neat with bath tub and standing showers, furnishing/decor in room and hotel is abit old fashion. Reasonable size pools. Breakfast is ok too. Staff are polite but could do more with being sincerely friendly. We request for late check out till 3pm, they said they charge 500 bht for an hour after 12noon. Asked for free late check out, they said they have no rooms?! Reception called at 11am to remind you of the check out time. I will try Aronang Villa next time round.	swift

The location is great. We were out of the main traffic but a very short walk to all the shops and restaurants. In fact, we liked Golden Beach so well when we stayed there last year that we booked there again this year.	Easy to use and very helpful.

Nice pool with elephatns waterfalls. Pavilion Suite are very comfortable and very close to the beach. Beach is not so nice like Railay beach, but this resort is on the best part of Ao Nang Beach.	OK
JOY LEONG 2006-03-24 until 2006-03-27	Golden Beach Resort, Ao Nang, Phranang Beach I was travelling with my husband & 19 mths old toddler and stayed in a bungalow with Golden Beach Resort. This is our 4th trip to KBV, but 1st time in Golden Beach... the rest of the time was with Ao Nang Villa. Front desk service is much better than Ao Nang Villa. Room is great, except that the baby cot is rather old and unsleepible for the toddler as the steel bars will probably cause bruises if they ever knocked against it. As the bugalow is well surrounded with plants, we do have some mosquitoes in the room once we open the door.. and the restaurant is houseflies infested.. probably due to the hot weather. We ordered room service... food never arrived... probably they did not understand us at all.. I think I will go back to Ao Nang Villa in my next trip to Krabi... Comfort wise.. they are about the same... I prefer the convenience of Ao Nang Villa..	This is the 2nd time... I am on Sawadee.com; Great for Thailand Bookings as the rates are competitive.. and its easy..
