About the hotel: Do not believe the hype. This Lodge is severly overpriced. The grounds are beautiful. The river location is poor. The service is the worst I ever encountered in Thailand. The hotel rooms are in desperate need of an update...mold in the shower... cheap decorations. The food is terrible and the food price extremely high.

About the hotel: 22. - 24. april 2009 in Deluxe Room, double room.
Very beautyfull place, rooms are as shown at the pictures, good and friendly staff. Breakfast is good.
The only bad thing is the placement - a little outside the city.
I would go here again!

About the hotel: This must have been a fantastic resort in it s day. It s in a gorgeous location, nice pool, but the rooms are in major need of an update, and rather disgusting odors from the bathroom. The staff couldn t have been nicer -- we accidentally left a camera at dinner and they were waiting with it for us at breakfast the following morning.
About the hotel: Hotel is very nice, with lovely grounds. Room was of a good standard and clean. Hotel is located a long way out of town and there was no shuttle or transport service to Lampang town. Hotel staff were not helpful when we asked about transport and couldn t even arrange a taxi and suggested we walk to the highway with our luggage and wait for a local bus to take us.I would only recommend this hotel if you have your own transport eg hire car etc.

About the hotel: The setting of the hotel is very nice:
lush gardens, swimming pool, the sun set restaurant etc.!
Unfortunately the service spoils some of these impressions:
at 7 pm we wanted a thai massage but not enough masseuses were available (when else do they think guests want a massage then in the evening), they had to call them in!
Then, the restaurant closes at 9 pm, but it was about to close already at 8:30 so we had kind of to demand to be served!
What is left to do in this remote spot except sitting in your room and listen to the voices of nature ?!?!
Breakfast was put away at 8.30 am!
Again we had to go through some attidude till we got served.
So I would still recommend this place if your program makes it necessary to stay in Lampang and you are into some nature setting for your hotel!
I hope till then the management has realized, that a remote hotel has a little bit more responsibility what to offer their guests!
About the hotel: The hotel was great! The cottages were very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. It s a little far from town so you have to be willing to travel by Songdow if you want to go into Lampang. We would dfinitly stay here again.

All 60 bungalows
were built in the style of Lanna architecture using local materials.
All bungalows have level floors and teak shingles or earthen tiles
are used on the roofs. The bungalows' outer walls are made of wood
while the inner walls are white cement. Wooden furniture is used to
decorate the rooms in order to soften the effects of the cement
walls.

Lodge offers three types of accommodation - 48 standard, 5 superior and
7 deluxe rooms - to provide you with exactly what you want. All rooms are
air conditioned, spacious and have terraces, separate living rooms
and a bathroom with garden view.

The resort has two restaurants, Bua Tong and Sala Rim Wang, which
serve luscious Thai, Lanna-style and Italian cuisine daily from 6
a.m. to 10 p.m.
During your stay at Lampang River Lodge, we
invite you to discover an idyllic secret route that meanders through
the village and past incomparable scenery.
The
resort provides 60 bungalows for accommodation, numerous relaxation
corners both indoors and out, a standard swimming pool, a three-rai
wide pond, boat paddling activities and a 4.5 kilometres walk or
jogging path. Cycling is a popular activity with our guests and a
cycle in the village will give you a glimpse of the traditional way
of life such as the small village kiln industry and paddy fields.
Wat Prathat Lampang Luang temple is only 7 kilometres from the
resort.
Thai traditional
massage is also provided. All of our masseurs and masseuses are
professionally trained by instructors from Ayuravej College, the
experienced institute of traditional massage. The massage will be
provided in shared or private massage rooms.
A seminar room
with a capacity of 100 seats is available. We pride ourselves on our
philosophy of community participation and our seminar room is often
used for community programmes such as for aerobics for villagers or
for the fishing festival. Traditional music is also provided to
welcome seminar participants and accompany your dinner in the
evening.
The resort also
provides 24-hour security service to ensure your safety.
