Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Great hotel hotel at the outskirts of Chiang Rai. All rooms in bungalows within a pleasant garden. Nice swimming pool, restaurant and bar on the premises. Helpful and pleasant staff with above average knowledge of English. |
Reservation through Sawadee.com was precise, no problems. |
| Alan Jefferie Trinder 2008-11-15 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road this resort is a little hard to find being tucked away near the old airport as was. having found it the grounds and bungalows were nice very pleasant and the staff were good too. drinks even including the happy hour 3 for 2 are hotel level high so a little expensive given the current exchange rate v £, food good for both dinner and breakfast. there are bars nearby. |
good value for room including breakfast, brilliant service as we were on the move and started on line and completed by mobile phone easy to use web system |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road A comfortable well laid out hotel with good bungalow accommodation - mine near the swimming pool. Regrettably on the night that I was there all the other guests went out and the restaurant was closed. Breakfast however was good. The staff were helpful in arranging onward travel plans. Good value for money. |
Well amanaged and organised. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road We were happy with the rooms, service, and swimming pool. The breakfast has improved in the last 2 years since our previous stay - very good breakfast and choice of foods. The restaurant for evening meals is over-priced though - would recommend going elsewhere. |
Fine. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Hotel O.K. Very expensive restaurant. Need Tuk-Tuk for night bazar (25 Baht per person, for hotel car taxi service). Took extra charge for extra blanket (50 Baht). Seems petty for a hotel in this price level (none of the hotels we stayed in so far asked for the extra charge). Will not return. |
Very easy & user friendly booking service. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road lovely hotel!!! it looks like mexican resorts in riviera maya. very nice staff above all the guy working the night turn. The location is ok but is like 10 min walking from the night bazar. |
perfect, absolutely no problem, and we booked with only one day!! |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Très bon hotel, tranquille propre et sympatique. Magnifiques jardins, agréable piscine. Notre seul regret a été le manque de fenêtres des bungalows, tous très sombres. |
impeccable prix et services ! |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road This was a very nice hotel. The pool was nice and large in a tropical setting. The staff was extremely helpful and made our stay one that will long be remembered. We walked to the Night Market but returned via a tuk tuk. We took a one day tour that was great. We both had massages and they were inexpensive and well worth having them. |
Excellent. The hotel/resort is better than the pictures and descriptions. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road The property was lovely with a great swimming pool.Quite a lovely refuge from downtown Chiang Rai. The wireless was free, a real plus. The buffet breakfast was very good with a large assortment of food including several Thai dishes. The beds were very hard, but we still slept very well. The towels and toilet paper were in short supply. Would definitely return to hotel. Great massage place next to the entrance to the hotel for 100 baht per hour. |
Excellent. The hotel was on request and we heard back within an hour with a confirmation. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road A good hotel for families - large room with extra bed if needed. Has a nice pool and 24 room or poolside service. The regular restaurant also has a good menu to choose from - Thai and Western. The breakfast was adequate. Staff are friendly and rooms well maintained. The location is good - on the way out of town in a quiet location but still within a few minutes of the town center. Free Wifi in the lobby and breakfast area. I would say it was a good deal for the price. |
Booking was handled quickly and accurately. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Now we were on the move 7 weeks in SO Asia and have spent the night accordingly at many hotels. We can recommend the Laluna Hotel & Resort absolutely. It was the best hotel of our tour. A tropical paradise with a great pool and verry friendly staff. . With pleasure we will spend the night at this hotel again. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road We loved it. The stark pictures on the website are somewhat misleading,- in reality the place is far nicer, with lush mature gardens. The sparkling pool was sheer bliss after each day in the hills. A real gem. |
Have used Sawadee for years. Never a problem. |
| Grant Hall 2008-01-12 until 2008-01-13 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road We drove from Chang Mai and had a busy day, when we got to the hotel we where presently suprised at wht we saw! What a lovely place, this was a resort not just a hotel, staff are great, see if you can get your room near the pool, just a nice place to stay when your away from home, decor was done well quite comfortable. |
Only the best will do when booking with sawadee.com there is never ever a problem. |
| M Carey 2008-01-04 until 2008-01-05 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road The hotel was great for one night stay. Picturesque view of river and mountains. Good for family - travelled with my wife and two children. Reception was friendly. Breakfast was also fine. Would stay again. |
Very easy - as usual. |
| HAROLD FARNHAM 2008-01-03 until 2008-01-05 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Great! Nice clean large rooms. Staff at the front desk a little chilly, but so was the weather. Breakfast was ok, possible to have cook to order eggs would be better. |
No problems, ck-in and out was smooth. |
| Ines Jacob 2007-12-29 until 2008-01-02 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Laluna is a very nice hotel. We were there the second time after one year and it still was very proper with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Our room and bathroom were very nice and clean, the pool was well maintained, breakfast was o.k., everything was in good condition. Only one thing did not chance since our last stay: some members of the staff at the reception are quite unfriendly and not very helpfull in organizing things. We nearly missed our bus to Chiang Mai because they didn t get us a taxi even when we asked for it several times... But nevertheless: we can recommand the hotel and we will come back one day... |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road The garden, pool, and lobby are certainly beautiful, and the hotel is a quiet oasis in the city. Breakfast was great. The staff is very helpful. It is a little bit out of the way but not too bad. However, despite all that, somehow it falls short in being a comfortable place to stay. The beds are as hard as a rock, the deck chairs by the pool were instruments of torture. The air conditioning is too strong (in cool season) and there were no screens so you couldn t open the windows. The restaurant is too expensive other than the free breakfast. The internet was down some of the time. Since it costs quite a bit more than other places in the area, it s surprising that it is not so comfortable to stay in. We were actually glad to get to our super-cheap place in Chiang Mai that looked like a dump in comparison, but somehow was actually more comfortable and relaxing. We would not stay there the next time we were in the area. |
Wonderful experience, you can really count on them to answer questions promptly, change the reservation when needed, follow through with details. Only suggestion is that it s difficult to find a place during peak times because you have to wait 24 hours to get a reply to see if a place has availability. |
| Wiebke Zielinski 2007-12-18 until 2007-12-20 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road very good hotel; a quiet relaxing place with wonderful big rooms and good services. We can recommend it. Tuk-Tuk to the city or the nightmarket (very good place for eating) is about 20-25 TBH per person, not more. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road The very best resort I stayed in Thailand! Wonderful... And the rate offered here at sawadee.com is very attractive compared to the official room rates! |
Easy and fast confirmation, easy payment, fast reply to additional requests. Thank you |
| Mark 2007-12-05 until 2007-12-08 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Quite nice, rooms although roomy are bare and lack character it wouldnt take much to make them more attractive. Staff were pleasant. Might stay again. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Hotel was very good - staff were helpful and room was of a good size - pool was wonderful after a long hot day sight seing. Then night market and town were only 15 min walk away so a taxi in for 60 Baht and stroll back worked well the free entertainment in the market restaurant was excellent. Only down side the bed was very hard -stiff back in the morning - and I like a firm bed ! Also if you want to do the sight seeing trips you may be better off booking in town - we did two whole days for half the price the hotel was asking and saw more things. |
Smooth and efficient |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road We have just left 2 nights at the Laluna Hotel & Resort and we wish we had booked more nights. The setting was absolutely beautiful. Our room overlooked the pool and many lush plants and flowers. The room was large and very comfortable with a very large bathroom. The breakfast was good tho dinner service very slow...but we are on vacation! We definetly will stay here when we return to Chiang Rai. |
We have booked most of our hotel rooms on sawadee and the service was excellent. The prices they offer were SO much lower than we could have got going directly to the hotel while in Thailand. We know as we tried to book with the hotel more nights at Laluna Hotel and the price would have been almost double. Thanks for the great service! |
| Gillian Fisher 2007-09-23 until 2007-09-26 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road We had a spacious room (deluxe) near the large pool. It was very clean and the gardens are really nice. This resort was very good value for money and is a good place to relax. The resort is a little bit out of the centre of Chiang Rai, but very accessible by tuk tuk (50/60 baht). The journey takes about 5 minutes. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road This is my second trip to Chiangrai and I stayed in the same resort. Rate resonable but the downside is no coffee/tea making facilities, breakfast so so. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Very nice hotel (very new) and in August is very calm and relaxing. Be by the swimming pool was prefect!. They were building new area (for spa I guess) and only they have to improve the breakfast and the restaurant service in general, because this very good hotel deserves a better restaurant service. |
Perfect. No problem. |
| Jeremy Spencer 2007-07-18 until 2007-07-21 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road We found Laluna Resort very professional and friendly service with great facilities, abundent gardens and excellent pool not too deep for the children. Breakfast more than adequate, clean and healthy. Staff were excellent and massage was great. Many thanks to Laluna for a great stay. |
Booking service was easy and professional. Had no problems at all with a straight forward, secure site for credit card payments. Everything worked out very well. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road This hotel was a very positive surprise! Very nice surroundings, well maintained and clean rooms, beautiful pool. The staff is very friendly, free wifi available, etc. Across the street there is a small shop to buy food and drinks (very cheap). So, we higly recommend this hotel. |
No problems occures, so very good. |
| Peter Rea 2007-06-06 until 2007-06-12 |
Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road I can confirm other reports on this hotel that I read before booking. The resort is fantastic, but the breakfast is lousy. As others have commented, so what? Just either grin and bear the breakfast, or have it elsewhere, surmising that had the breakfast been of a good standard, then the price commanded could be considerably increased. The actual resort and quality of the accomodation is superb. The place is beautifully presented, lovely gardens, attractively furnished and equipped bungalows, quiet and clean, with friendly staff. OK, so it is a 20 minute walk to the centre of town, but with use of a hire car or local transport, not a problem. In return, an oasis of calm and tranquility, where the only sounds were the birdsong in the gardens. The problem with the breakfast is more about quantity and variety, rather than quality. It is edible, but nowhere near the standard or variety that one would expect from an establishment of this quality in other respects. In common with other hotels and resorts in Thailand, it beggars belief for me why when fresh oranges are so cheap and plentiful, why places have to supply that artificially flavoured, coloured and sweetened water in place of fresh orange juice. However, as mentioned, had they upped the anti on the breakfast and produced what one would expect from a 4 star place, I reckon that they could command an extra 500 baht on the price. There is some new building work to the front, which is not a problem, providing that the new pub/restaurant does not produce any night time noise when completed. At the moment it is peaceful and restful in low season June. |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Spent 6 very pleasant days at the La Luna Resort in Chiang Rai. Clean suites set in a magnificent park; the La Luna Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool was a delight. Excellent value for money |
We are very impressed with sawadee.com,
all our travel arrangements went like clockwork! |

Smooth as usual |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road This Resort is just great. You arrive there and feel the silent and relexing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. To go to the night market or other places in the city you ll need a taxi and the trip takes you around 5 min. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for that price. |
Fast and easy! |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road a nice relaxing place. very laid back room is comfortable. restaurant is good for thai food ( if you know what to order). breakfast is satisfactory hotel inhouse tour service was nice but expensive as resort is far from attractions like golden triangle and doi tung. only 20 minutes from airport and very close to night market overall recommended for couples good value for money. |
efficient hassle free |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road Enjoyed our stay but resort should provide tea/coffee making facility as coffee house closed at 2200hrs. Rooms are very clean and the staff are friendly/helpful. Will recommend to friends and will stay there again. |
good booking service |

Laluna Hotel & Resort, Samambin Road This was a little paradise just outside of Chiang Rai (10-15 min. walk to night bazar and bus terminal). The pictures of the hotel tell the truth: houses are spacious and clean. Bathroom is excellent. Loved the swimming pool and for when it rains: they ve got HBO. Last but not least: the staff has been very friendly and even though not everybody could speak (good) English, they have been very helpful. We stayed one night extra and we can indeed recommend this resort. |
First time user: excellent! Will book again via Sawadee.Com |
