Dale Robert Moxom 2009-05-09	Charoen Hotel, Udonthani The place does need a lick of paint in places and the air-con was very noisy.the inside of the pool needs a serious look at ,many broken sharp edge tiles so could be dangerous for small children..the poolside service wasnt up to much. very slow in getting someones attention ..but my one big fault was on the mini bar i dont mind paying for goods ive used but i expect the same goods to be replaced and not get charged a 2nd time on the same items the next day but all was ok once i managed to explain after 4 days of the same..breakfast wasnt good for english customers who like a full english .simple things really because overall i enjoyed my stay there and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful..and yes id stay there again because its only a short walk to all the amenities..	Couldnt fault the online booking service.and mr pong was very helpful in all my questions ..thankyou :)

F.A. van Zwieten 2009-04-16	Charoen Hotel, Udonthani For the city Udon Thani nice Hotel, very clean and good working airco. Staff friendly and no problem bringing someone. Very good food in the morning, the Hotel have is own disco wich every evening off the week full. Just ask for the new wing rooms because de Hotel have two building a new one and old one. I liked my stay here and will visiting next time same Hotel. Good price for Junior suite, these are two rooms with 2 televisions and two bathrooms.	The service very good, would come last December 2008 but than the Airport Bangkok was closed and mine plane cancelled. First I thought lost all the money for booking some Hotels in Thailand but Sawadee report me to give new dates without any cost. Still very thankfull for that. So know here in Thailand with the official bookings from last December 2008.

Great welcome from all employees, they do their max, to help me find whatever I needed! Will certainly return to that location in the future! James Zwier 2009-04-14	Charoen Hotel, Udonthani We were a little worried about finding a hotel in Udon during New Year, but it turned out to be no problem. We ve stayed at the Charoen Hotel before and it was our first choice this time. It s comfortable, clean, and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast as well. The Charoen is very close to AEK Udon Hospital, which was nice because I had a check-up there.	Great! No problems.

Only one very small and thin pillow per people and no any extra pillows, it makes sleep not easy for most peoples. Everything other at this hotel is good.	good service, recomendation - more fast reply time - max 24 hours is so long!

I last commented that the Hotel needed a coat of paint-well, the outside and corridors have been painted but the rooms and bathrooms are still in need of attention. The bath in my room, 442, was in a dreadful state. I reported this fact to theHotel Otherwise all was fine. John davis
Michael Mullane 2009-01-16	Charoen Hotel, Udonthani Everything was excellent. The room was clean and large with great housekeeping. The breakfast and lunch buffets were abundant. Pool was sparkling. Staff were very friendly, and spoke English well. TV was loaded with channels, including Fox news. No complaints from me.	I was unable to make my original booking because of the 26 November demonstration at Suvumabumi. The booking service made extraordinary efforts to rebook and I received full credit. Great personal service.

Good selection on Cable, BBC, AustTV,movies, sport...and dare I say Fox!!Small bathroom with basic toiletries and just average HW pressure, and one of the few hotel bathrooms I have been in that you don t have to be a contortionist to reach the toilet paper when needed!! Good buffet b fast but only to 0900. 5 min walk to bus tml and 10 min to train stn. Good value for money.

Erik De Ruiter 2008-04-28 until 2008-05-02	Charoen Hotel, Udonthani Not our first choice, but since the Charoensri Royal was fully booked we decided to stay here. The Charoensri is more comfortable and luxerious but the service in Charoen makes up for that! Excellent service from very friendly and helpfull staff. Everyday a free newspaper in the room. The standerd room is sober and dated but very clean and quiet and all fittings worked fine. Only thing I missed was a good moviechannel on TV (like Star or Cinemax) - there is a moviechannel but shows only old dated movies. We fixed that with buying a 900 baht DVD player in the nearby shopping complex (tip for long stayers). Breakfast is simple - lunch and dinner buffet are excellent (imho better than Charoensri Royal which is so highly recommended by most reviewers and travel guides). All you can eat Asian dinner buffet for 130 baht! My Thai wife loved it. The swimming pool is a bit small, but clean with good service profided. Have not been to the gym yet. We liked this place so much that we stayed another 2 weeks here and we will be back next time!	Good and fast as always

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There are cheap and nice food stall/restaurant nearby the hotel. The breakfast were ok but it d be good if they can change the menu on alternate day. The hotel provided airport transfer which was very convenient for us.	Easy and fast

Only one problem: being offered beautiful girl, very young again and again at reception, in the elevator, even on the phone. Other than that, recommended.	Very good. Efficient, fast, reliable. Will use it again.

Reception got keys and breakfast vouchers all prepared in an envelope. Overall hotel was clean though furnishings in room a bit old and worn. Breakfast was ok but ends a bit early (9am), so can t sleep late. Pleasantly surprised with complimentary airport transfer! Would definitely go back again.

Very comfortable room and good service throughout. The buffet breakfast was first class. It is less than 5 minutes walk to bus station should you arrive by this means of transport and not much further to Robinsons the main department store. If I go to Udon Thani again I will stay at this hotel again.	First class as usual

It looked out on the street and the pool and it s noisy, but with the air conditioning white noise it was tolerable. It s within walking distance (for me a mountain climber) of everything you might want to walk to, although watch out for dangling powerlines and forehead level pipes on the sidewalks. The Grand Royal is the best hotel in town, but this is a good backup choice. It doesn t have internet access at all.	good as usual.
Mr.Manfred Winter 2004-11-20 until 2004-11-25	Charoen Hotel, Udonthani Mixed feelings. The room was allright, though a little bit on the rundown side, especially the bathroom. Reception was nice, friendly and charming. Room service seems to have a private Side-business going, as they declined to give me a receipt as well as demanded to pay cash. Biggest drawback for me was the lack of electrical outlets (only in bathroom, no fun if you want to reload camera or laptop ...) Also no direct dial phone. WIll try Charoensri next time.

I wouldnt call it great or luxurious, but clean, decent service and friendly staff, breakfasts were good, and I never saw any cockroaches. The pool was not operational when i was there but the renovation work will please future guests i m sure. I took the room because I got a good price. Would I stay again? I would, but its my usual practice to not stay in the same hotel twice unless its exemplary--this wasnt. But its a good value and if you are only staying a short time, I highly recommend it.	I got the booking completed within 24 hours and of the many hotels I booked on my trip, this was the fastest most efficient one.

The atmosphere was cool, although the staff at the reception was very heldful with all questions, I did not feel very comfortable. As I was travelling alone, I had a very bad experience: I received a phonecall just a few minutes after my dinner in the room, asking all kind of very private questions, so it gave me the feeling that I was followed by some female.	The booking was easy and settled very quickly.

The room was OK, comfortable and clean. But in this hotel I have met the most unfriendly staff in Thailand. And believe me, I have been many times in Thailand before. The staff in the restaurant very unfriendly. But very friendly to Asien guests! The staff by breakfast extreme unfriendly. The American breakfast was miserable. Only food for Asiens was great! All staff did not speak fluent English. The pool service was miserable. Only five dirty beds, only a few chairs, long time no towels ..... I had the feeling of a second class guest in this hotel. I am sorry, I will never stay in Charoen hotel again. Because Thailand has great hotels with great staff everywhere.	Booking was easy and comfortable.
Jana Watson 2003-12-09 until 2003-12-12	Charoen Hotel, Udonthani We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and were treated beautifully as Udon Thani is not a regular tourist attraction the language barrier was a bit of a problem but the staff was very patient and helpful and made our stay a very memorable one. I would recommend this hotel to anyone the rooms (new wing)were spacious clean and well equipped if you go to Udon Thani it is mosquito heaven so be sure to pack and wear insect repellant at all times.	The booking service was efficient and confirmation was prompt and rooms were available unlike most other services that always tell you the hotel you picked is booked but they can offer a more expensive alternative.
