A pity you had to get up and reserve sun beds before 06.30 in the morning in order to get one but that s what husbands are for. Almost everyone got some kind of stomach disorder for 1 day or so at this resort during our stay, we heard of nothing similar from other resorts. Maybe someting temporary. BUT hotel facilities, service, location etc really great.	Perfect.

The rooms and other facilities were clean, functional and generally nice. Staff were very helpful and friendly, their english sufficiently good. Reception staff were very helpful with arranging transports etc. The pool area is great with good service, staff present all day. The location is perfect for shopping, eating and other service within very close walking distance. Perfect for family s.	Booking service was excellent and reliable.
Anneli 2008-11-02	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach We liked the place a lot. Close to the beach wich was nice and white and not too big. Nice big pool, clean rooms, the area was good and not to exploated. Breakfast was ok but not great, restaurant empty at evenings, we went to other restaurants for dinners and lunch.	We were pleased with the booking through internet and we got confirmations and reminders and all that you need. BUT: When we arrived they could not find our booking, the persons in the reception looked very confused but gave us another room after a while. It was not what we had booked but worked fine. Strange though that a booking that had been made well in advance and paid is not in the resorts computersystem. How is the bookings contact with the resort?
Chris Dabolt 2008-10-31	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach I really like the Kacha, and this is my second time staying here. I highly recommend the rooms in the new buildings as the older bungalows are getting a bit run down and are in need of renovation and modernization. The restaurant is good, the staff is friendly, and the hotel location is perfect. Wireless internet is available in all the rooms, but is expensive and a bit of a hassle as you have to keep going to the lobby to purchase time. IMHP, the hotel should provide internet for free, or at least make it a fair price with a less troublesome method of purchasing time.	Very good. I ve used Sawadee.com for all my hotel bookings in thailand over the last several years. Never a problem and always low prices and good service. I highly recommend Sawadee.com.

We thought it was wrong when we saw the room and got a standard room, but it was not.Little fooled, it feels like.However the room was clean and fresh. Very nice buffet, in the morning and the restaurant had good menu.The only one to complain about was the butter at the breakfast, it taste and smell not good some days. Nice and good personal.Nice pool area.We will recommended this Resort.	Excellent service

Breakfast was very good with a good choice of Western and Thai dishes. The pool was gorgeous with a small pool (and dolphin slide) for the children. There was a bar in the pool itself and plenty of sunloungers round the poolside. we had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel.	Very easy and efficient.

Peter Lundsten 2008-10-06	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach We, my wife and our 4 year old daugther spend 13 lovely nights at a Seview Deluxe room at Koh Chang Kacha. The hotel is very clean and the rooms at comfortable with AC and nice bathroom. The view over the ocean and the feeling of sitting at the balcony after a nice dinner is unforgettable. The large breakfast buffet was very nice and various. We had dinner at various resturants at the beach or we took a taxi down to Bang Bao, where they have several nice seafood restaurants. The pool area was clean and well designed. The beach just outside the resort is lovely. The hotel staff were very nice. Will definitly recommend this nice hotel both for couples and families with kids.	Fast feedback and safe payment

We had the beachside bungalows that gave adequate room for all and had a great view out to sea and were next to the pool. Breakfast was adequate but have had better at other similar resort hotels in Thailand on this and other trips. Staff very friendly and I look forward to returning in the future. Just stay in the hotel or take a stroll on the beach to any of the restaurants or bars fronting the beach. We stayed in a seaview villa. They are a bit tired but great for views, location and piece and quiet, no noisy neighbours. Staff are super friendly. Helpful employees, good facilities, nice swimming pool, good restaurant. However, there are more good restaurants in the direct neighbourhood on walking distance. From the ferry pier, the resort is easy to reach by the taxi busses that offer transportation to all resorts on the island. Going back to the pier isn t also not a problem. Yong Oi Chin 2008-09-05	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach Hotel is in convenient location. If you like to be near to shops/eateries, this is the hotel. The hotel service just average. We booked for Seaview and upon arrival, we were given a room that blocked by all roof top and trees. We insisted to change the room with seaview and the staff finally changed it for us. Internet is costly. The idea of late check out charge is outrageous. Don t see why they can t accomodate if the hotel is not fully booked and guests can only check out late at 3.30pm to catch the flight. As there is not much you can do on the check out day other than lazing by the pool if catching an evening flight to Bangkok without many options. Even we were willing to pay for the late check out charge, the staff insisted that we have to check out by 2pm and without offer us to move to an available room since they claimed seaview room was fully booked at that time. At the end, we decided to catch the early morning flight and breakfast only serve at 7am. No refund for the extra charge for my child s breakfast, unlike Grand Diamond hotel or any other hotel will only charge if your child is having breakfast with you and only pay on the day itself. I will definitely go back to Ko Chang Island but may not stay in this hotel if service and their house rules not improved.	Booking was efficient. Reservation staff was very responsive, patience and attentive.

Felicity Handford 2008-08-20	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach We enjoyed our stay, our 3rd floor deluxe room with sea view was comfortable with a pleasant balcony. Our room was very clean and the staff helpful I am glad we stayed there during the low season as I think it would be rather crowded in the high season. The bungalows are very to close to each other so most would not have a view of anything other than the next one. The restaurant is reasonable but there are better ones in the white beach area.	As always the booking worked very well.
AKP 2008-08-19	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach The deluxe building rooms that we stayed in were fine, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The bathrooms with separate shower were nice. In general things in the newer half of the hotel (deluxe rooms and pool) were very nice, whereas the older parts (lobby, restaurant, and superior rooms) were somewhat run-down. Room cleaning was rather slow (too few staff taking too long). Hotel internet was overpriced (2B/minute), but there s a cheaper internet cafe across the street. The restaurant was probably the hotel s weakest part. Expected better bread at the breakfast buffet. Waiters seemed inexperienced (removing plates far too quickly), and the lunch/dinner menu was overpriced and not tasty. Much better food can be found at an open restaurant about 150 meters south of the hotel along the main road, on the left side. The beach in front of the restaurant and to the north of it was nice. In front of the pool area there were too many rocks and occasional garbage, as well as questionable water from a drain pipe flowing across the beach (something found at many locations along White Sand Beach).

The bathroom is amazingly big. But, there were too many mosquitoes inside the room. I was heavily attacked by mosquitoes even I sprayed a lot of insect repellent. I had to cover my face during slept! Otherwise, the room should be a good place to enjoy the olympic games.	Fast and reliable.

Shannon Grantham 2008-07-19	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach I would recommend staying at the Koh Chang Kacha. First and foremost it was CLEAN. Compared to some other nice places we had stayed that were infested with bugs, not a bug in sight, the rooms were kept and swept everyday. Bathroom s are very nice w/ a tub. The staff was pleasant enough and the breakfast was substantial. Location is good, within walking distance or a short drive or many activities. The pool was nice and kept clean. The only con would be, like others have said, there really is no beach right where the resort it, it is all rocks, but it was still nice to lay by the pool or on the beach chairs. We did the snorkeling activity not through the hotel but through an agent right outside the hotel entrance, it was nice and worth the money. However, we did the Blue Lagoon cooking class through the hotel (although it goes to many hotels to pick up guests so may be the only cooking class on the island) but all of us (3) got so sick afterwards!! I would not do again. Or maybe observe and cook the food but don t eat it!! Oh and make sure to go through sawadee.com to get the special deal for this hotel, you have to book through them and print off the confirmation email to take with you, but it is worth the savings.
Gareth Owen Woods 2008-07-18 until 2008-07-25	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach The Koh Chang Kacha Resort is pretty typical of others in southern Thailand. The beach front bungalow we had was on two levels with a double bed and air conditioning on each level. The stairs to the top level were very steep, like the companion way on a yacht, so not ideal for small children or elderly people. There was also a fan on the lower level if you din t want the aircon on all the time.During the night we found the most comfortable option was to run the aircon upstairs and just the fan downstairs. The well appointed bathroom had a large shower cubicle and seperate toilet. The bungalows are very thoroughly cleaned every day, along with the furniture on the little verandah. The beach was very good for swimming and walking, with the safe bathing area clearly indicated by flags. The sea is beautifully warm, or you can use the very nice swimming pool if the sea is rough. There is a restaurant at the resort that overlooks the beach. The buffet breakfast is fine. If you get bored with the menu there are several other places to dine just a short walk down the beach with excellent seafood on the menu. There are shops, banks and pharmacies with in a few minutes walk. There is an excellent medical centre a few minutes drive away. The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. All in all not a bad place to stay, about an hour by road and ferry from Trat airport, which is one of the prettiest little airports I have ever seen. Bangkok Airways fly there and run the airport too, providing an excellent service.	Very good service, as usual. Everything runs very smoothly, no problems at all.

The rooms were very clean and the bathroom ( the first thing you check in any Asian hotel)was spotless, had no mould or damp,musty smell. I was disappointed though with their reluctance to accommodate us as we arrived two nights early.It was low season and the hotel room section was nearly empty but they expected us to jam into one room with a very small discount on offer. This forced us to go to KC Grande which was much better. WE would have stayed there if we had not prepaid the Kacha.	The booking service was faultless though I do not like paying the full amount upfront.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. I had a full view over the sea. Breakfast was good and the swimming pool area was very well designed. My only complaints are that the English and French speaking TV channels failed to work and that my room was a little to close to the restaurant where they would play the same music over and over again every night. Other than that, service was great.	Very efficient and responsive service. I will definitely use it again should I go to Thailand again.

Phillip Bernard Tjoelker 2008-05-11 until 2008-05-13	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach As other guests below already described, this resort is a real paradise and very affordable considering that we only paid 1650 per night for a superior bungalow. If you book through res24/Sawadee, make sure you bring a printed paper copy of your Sawadee voucher, because for some strange reasons at this resort, passport and telling them the voucher number is not enough. We had to go an internet shop and spent 80 baht and 20 minutes to access our email and print the forms for them. However, we weren t lucky with the weather; storm and rain. White sand beach wasn t white but full with stones and rocks. They explained me that this had to do with the storm, but it s hard to believe that the storm threw all these rocks on the beach. Very nice was the beautiful pool and they kept it very clean. The restaurant was good and as a guest you get 10% discount. Massage & Spa was a bit expensive compared to the average rates for Thai traditional massage (Kacha: 600 baht for 1 hour, normal prices 150-250 baht per hour). Bungalow was nice, clean with A/C, electronic safe, color tv and hot shower. From our balcony and room we could view mountain, pool and sea! Only minor thing was that we couldn t really shut all the curtains properly so apologies if people saw us naked from outside. No complaints about the resort, but if you prefer to be amongst the friendly locals, then Koh Chang is not the right place to be. Many hippies and tourists on the island.

I do a lot of traveling and have no problem saying that I enjoyed my stay at Kacha in every conceivable way. The front desk staff were especially helpful, even tutored me with some basic Cambodian words and took care of my every need. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the selections of liquor at the bar. One piece of advice, one that separates the travelers from the tourists . If you insist on traveling abroad for recreation on a budget, don t. Stay at home, save your money and then when you do it, do it right. People who want to cry and complain are usually the ones who don t tip the staff, find fault with each and every little thing and arre generally a pain in the duff to everyone. It s amazing how your attitude about everything changes along with your perceptions when money isn t an obstacle to the enjoyment of your trip. Kacha is a great little place to stay. I highly recommend it and would and will gladly stay there again.

Seaview Delux in the building is about the same level as the new Delux in Amari on Samui I stayed last year and you can compare the prices! Staff - very helpful and wellcoming. 11 points out of 10! Restaurant - breakfast average but it also has a good side - you don t have to set the alarm on if you go to bed late ;). Otherwise the food is good and the prices are reasonable so if you want to have a tom ka or carry between your swims no reason to change into civil and go eat outside of the hotel.	perfect. and necessary well ahead too, cause prolongation of your stay at the reception is practically impossible - sorry, fully booked

I have been travelling a lot in Thailand and this is by far the nicest place I have stayed in for my kind of budget. We had a good deal at sawadee.com for a deluxe main building room. The room was very clean and welmaintained. Unfortunately we had the view of another building right in front of the balcony, so maybe I would ask for 3rd floor next time. But we just walked 20 steps down to the nice restaurant on the beach and watched the sunset from there instead. The poolarea was lovely! All in all a super nice hotel, especially for familys with kids!	As always very easy and well working!

Staff was friendly and helpful, even though the level of english could be improved somewhat. The pool and poolarea was great - clean and wellkept. Unfortunate with the typical scandinavian/european tradition of booking sunchairs at 6 a.m., but that is not the fault of the hotel in any way. Restaurant is good - food a bit bland at times, but that is probably just an adjustment to western tourist tastebuds. We definitely recommend this hotel to fellow travellers!!	Booking service worked great!! We will definitely use again...

Mycket nära till havet, så man kan simma i havet och poolen om vartannat. Bra standard på rummen. Nära till shopping. Vi rekommenderar även ett besök i hamnstaden Bang Bao för ännu mer shopping och även sea-food restauranger. Vi tog även ett par nätter på Koh Maak, mysigt. Det går aldeles utmärkt att boka direkt på plats (om det inte är någon stor helg, så att det är fullbokat). Vi var där över deras nyårsfirande (Songkran), ganska kul i början men lite jobbigt då de höll på i fyra dagar med att kasta vatten på folk. Det gick inte ens att åka taxi utan att bli genomblöt.	Vi bokade via nätet och det fungerade alldeles utmärkt.

White Sand is the beach offering the most variety in shopping, restaurant and bars and it is still a very small and relaxed place compared to the typical Thai vacation places. The resort offer the bext pool area at the beach, good but somewhat pricy restaturant and very clean and good standard rooms. If you are not on a tight budget a good stay.	Excellent

Luckily we had a seaview bungalow which we near the pool. The breakfast was good and the people really friendly. There wasn t much of a beach as the sea came right up to the resort decking...but the sunsets were fantastic.	I always book with Sawadee as they are really great and easy to use. Takes the hassel out of booking your holiday accommodation.

Contrary to other reports we did not find the area noisy even though we stayed in the main building backing onto the street in high season. Room was clean, well serviced and spacious. Restaurant was as good as any others along the beach and breakfast was plentiful although predictable. Staff courteous and always smiling and helpful.Would definitely recommend this resort	Everything went smoothly and perfectly as usual

The staff in reception is 100 % nice and give exellent service. The roomcleaning was perfect and almost everyday you get suprice by some nice thing in the room with thing dones by your towels etc. I have send email to Frontoffice Manager Khun Dream about big surprice for my girl..The hotel have full up the room with flowers, fruit, champagne and a lot off other nice things for cheap money. They also prepare bodytreatment in the wellness area and a nice dinner in the afternoon. So if you want to stay in paradis then take to Koh Chang is a wonderfull iceland and this hotel is a perfect base. The breakfast menu is perfect. The service in the restaurant for dinner is not always perfect - But the receptionstaff take good care if you complain about something. Use savdee.com and get good prices. Happy new year. Robert Dahlslatt 2007-11-25 until 2007-12-02	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach A very nice hotel, we stayed in a beach front villa and it was perfect. 10 m to the ocean and 50 m to the swimmingpool, the pool area is the best on the whole White Sand Beach!! The personel are very kind and solved all our questions, we booked trips and vans through the hotel and it worked out perfect. I can recommend this hotel to everyone.	Fast answers and easy to talk to over the phone.
John Glendon 2007-10-15 until 2007-10-19	Koh Chang Kacha Resort and Spa, White Sand Beach I have stayed at the Kacha several times and would recommend the hotel for its location and facilities, with its comfortable bedrooms and great pool. You can even get a pool towel at 18.00 where as at another hotel I stayed in at White Sand Beach you could not get one at 09.30, All gone, all gone!	As usual, no problems.
