About the hotel:
very nice resort. private beach with white sand. we had a vacation with young children and it was very comfortable. deluxe room are big and have extra small bad inside. children pool next to the beach and restaurant. simple buffet every evening. new part of the hotel (superior rooms) is far from the beach (200 m). will come back

Hotel was clean, but expensive for what was provided. Hotel also charges for miscellaneous items (internet service, etc), which was disappointing given the price per night for the lodging. Beach in front of hotel is very nice.

Enjoyed it very much. Nice quiet location with a good beach. Rooms are set in a lovely garden and are beautifully made up everyday. all staff very helpful. A good breakfast. Didn t rate the restaurant too highly but a lot of other choices around. Would recommend the hotel.

About the hotel:
Very nice and natural hotel area with a luch and green landscaping. Kind and helpful staff. Accommodation correspond to the descriptions given. The only drawback was that the beach in front of the resort had quite many bottom rocks coverd with sharp shells making bathing difficult/dangerous. If that s not an issue I can recommend the place to anyone.

About the hotel:
The Tropicana is a very beautiful bungalow Resort. The bungalows are spacious,well decorated,very clean they really caputre the asian charm with teak floors and furniture. I was very impressed with the grounds and the vegitaion was beautiful. I was plesently surprised with this hotel. The front desk staff was very good and speak decent English and a few speak very good German. The only complaint that I may have with this resort is the Resturant had good service but we had to wait very long for our meals to be served. The food was good but not great but after a few nights I just could not hear the band anymore but of course that is a matter of taste. There are plenty of other great resturants near by. As for the beach this is one of the quieter beachs in Koh Chang which is what we where looking for but there are extreme low and high tides so be prepared. One thing I highly reccomend is to take the house boat and go on the day-trip snokeling. The spa was limited in services but the massage was great and very inexpensive.

The hotel Tropicana by itself is beautiful,also the bungalows,but the breakfast and the service are not OK for that kind of hotel and for this price level.

Our seventy seven spacious rooms are laid out across our extensive beachside gardens. The focus is on comfort and luxury cradled in a pristine natural setting.

All of our rooms are the last word in comfort and are equipped with air-conditioners and/or fans for those who prefer. As you would expect the rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities, a refrigerator and a mini-bar and all the facilities you would expect from a luxury resort.
The rooms combine the best of traditional and modern design. The exterior offers thatched roofs and natural construction materials that blend seamlessly into the rustic sophistication of our garden resort setting. The interiors are tastefully appointed with the finest modern natural fixtures and fittings and as soon as you lie down you will appreciate the comfort of our expansive beds.

The expansive architecture of our rooms is accentuated by the installation of full glass frontages - you can draw the curtains for privacy or open the room to enjoy the tropical gardens. All of our rooms also have a balcony so you can relax both indoors and out.

Our bathrooms are a special feature - offering exotic outdoor showers. This delightful feature allows you to shower outdoors enjoying your tropical setting to the maximum - in total privacy of course.

Sea Breeze restaurant at Koh Chang Tropicana Hotel provides quality dining in an informal and relaxed atmosphere beside Klong Prao beach. You can dine indoors or sit on our beachside patio shaded by coconut palms.

The lunch menu focuses on Thai and pasta dishes. In the evening a wide menu is available with an emphasis on fresh, locally caught, seafood and the tended rest cuts of local and imported meats prepared on a charcoal grill.

Our Filipino house band plays every night, accompanying diners with a tasteful selection of Latin tunes and setting the mood for a relaxed and sophisticated dining experience.

Kayaking
What better way to get out into the marine national park than to take out one of our sturdy ocean kayaks? Koh Chang Tropicana lies on Klong Prao beach which offers several offshore islands just waiting to be explored by the intrepid kayaker. The view of Koh Chang's green mountain peaks from out at sea is one of the most memorable things that you can take from your stay on this lovely island.

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving
One of the main reasons that Koh Chang has been designated a marine national park is because of its outstanding undersea life. You can take a look at the amazing ecosystem of the tropical coral reef by arranging one of our snorkeling trips to the best spots in the national park. Or why not make the most of your holiday by learning to dive, or if you dive already, by arranging a trip to explore the undersea delights of the Koh Chang archipelago. We will be happy to arrange it all for you.

Boat Trips
There are fifty one other islands clustered around Koh Chang. You can spend a blissful day hopping from one to the other on one of our boats trips. Sunbathe,  snorkel and enjoy the amazing settings from the comfort of a large and fully-appointed cruise boat.

Elephant Trekking
Since Koh Chang means "elephant island" in Thai what better what better way could there be to explore the natural beauty of this tropical haven than from the back of an elephant.
