Samed Cabana Resort is located in Vongduen Beach, Koh Samed. The Away Resorts predicted that in this high speed life that we live in there is a desperate need to provide people an excuse and opportunity to truly settle down and to be grateful for life once more.

Founded on the precept that we mainly live in an "Age of Rage", Away Resorts provides guests a rejuvenate balance in life. All rooms have superb sea views with ample sunlight and sea breeze, guaranteeing you perfect relaxation. Where guests can enjoys fresh breezes from Gulf of Siam and unique panoramic views of sunset on the ocean encompassed of natural. The resort itself stretches about 120-meter along the beachside comprises of 16 beachfront rooms, 14 sea. view rooms, 6 superior rooms, and 2 family suits.

Great location. On the beach and basic but clean and comfortable. Though food and service was below expectation. Went out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Which can be found right next door in one of the many other restaurants.

Familyroom are little bit to old and the standard it´s not so good like the new building near the pool. Nice staff and helpful. I think it´s the best location on Koh Samet. Nice restaurant at the hotel Good and Cheap massage at the beach. Thank´s all people for you´re kindness./Tony

The front desk ladie did not really like to be asked any question. She did not mind picking up the phone right when you just asked her a question. She was not nice at all. Beach got full of tare. Nobody from the hotel seemed to care about it neither cleaned it... Until a few dozzen came to get their feet cleaned up.

We had reserved 2 rooms for 4 adults and were told the 2 rooms were unavailable but that the family unit was suggested as an alternative. We booked the family room which was listed as 2 rooms with 2 beds. When we checked in the family room was actually a suite with a sofa bed made into the 2nd bed and was not suitable for sleeping at all. The room itself is basic for the price paid with just concrete floors and the sheets were stained. We requested different rooms and were moved to what we had requested in the first place, 2 rooms with beds for all adults. When questioned why we were not given the rooms to start with the staff was very rude. When I had read the comments posted before on sawadee.com I had thought maybe they were biasd with farang comments misunderstanding some asia attitudes. The truth is the service from the hotel front desk staff and head waiter to both forang and Thai is rude to the point of verbally abusive. I do hope that the management of this hotel reads these reviews and changes the staff. The location of the hotel is very nice with places to eat on the beach in walking distance. I could not comment on the food service for dinner since I was not about to spend anymore at this hotel then I had to for the rooms.

บริการไม่เป็นมิตร ลูกสาวสั่งเครื่องดิื่ม บริกรแจ้งว่าไม่ว่างต้องทำความสะอาดให้เสร็จก่อน ต้องรอจนกว่าพวกเค้าจะทำงานเสร็จจึงจะทำเครื่องดื่มให้ได้ ห้องที่จองบอกว่าเป็น family สำหรับ 4 คน กลับได้ห้องที่ 2 คนต้องนอนที่sofabed บริกรพยายามพูดจาบังคับให้จ่ายเงินค่าเครื่องดื่มทันทีไม่ยอมให้เซ็นเข้าที่ห้องพักและจ่ายตอนเช็คออก ทั้งๆที่ได้สอบถามก่อนแล้วว่าต้องจ่ายเลยหรือเซ็นได้ คำตอบคือเซ็นได้ ในการไปเที่ยวทะเลบางตรั้งไม่ได้นำเงินติดตัวตลอดเวลาเนื่องจากใส่ชุดว่ายน้ำ เจ้าหน้าที่แจ้งว่าเซ็นได้ แต่กลับเป็นว่าบริกรพูดจาไม่ดีและบังคับให้จ่ายเงินทันที สรุปว่าทำเลดี ห้องแพงกว่าคุณภาพ บริการแย่มากๆ

Very good hotel but not the highest standard but perfectly clean and nice. Friendly and helpful staff even if it doesnt seem so at the start. Best resturant on that beach. Be aware to book a beach view room - that is a must. Nice bungalows ON the beach. We definitely would like to book that hotel again. Won Deuane beach felt like the best on Samed.Highly recomended. Take the speed boat from the pier when you go to Samed. Easy and fun to walk from beach to beach along the coast. Highly recomended hotel.

We were very satisfied on our experience of Samed Cabana Resort. We got good and fast service. Service was friendly, location very good and rooms clean. And it was great that the bungalows were on the beach. Breakfast was good and fresh. Only thing I would have changed is not to play the same x-mas songs all over again for two days in the restaurant. We stayed right next to it. But a positive thing was that when the bars on the other side of the beach kept partying, our restaurant closed every night around 9-10 pm, so the noise didn t continue in our restaurant. Some noise did come to the bungalow from the other end of the beach though. We recommend this place!

How to get to Samed Cabana Resort

>> By a regular boat :
Malibu boat leaves Baan Pae at Ta Rua Pae (Pae Port) at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. everyday.  The average traveling time to Ao Wong Deuan is about an hour.  After arriving, you will be transferred to the beach by a small raft which can take time if there are many people. You can buy tickets at the information desk at Ta Rua Pae.  It costs 70 Baht/person/trip

>> By a scheduled speed boat :
The Travel Sea Tour speed boat service leaves Ta Rua Pae at 8:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. everyday.  It costs 300 Baht/person/trip and the boat stops in front of Samed Cabana.  The average traveling time to Samed Cabana is 15-20 minutes by a speed boat. You can buy tickets at Travel Sea information desk at 300 Baht/person/trip or book from our Bangkok.

>> By a private speed boat :
