Small drawback that due to location, little choice of restaurants in vicinity.	Good, however, should have mentioned No info that Bkk to Rayong takes 2,5 hrs by taxi, boat service to island only 10 mins!

Spa Villas are no:1, only one thing is not well, when the evenig cleaners keep the door open the bugs came in (2 spyder big one)pleace keep doors closed.	everything goes well, good service.
Christian Malmin 2008-10-12	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao We stayed one night in one of the spa villas. The location is unbeatable, and we love coming back to this part of Koh Samet. The beach is clean and very suitable for the children, there are even some snorkling opportunities for the children at each side of the beach. The room, however, left something to desire. As we entered the room there was a bad smell that never went away. It felt like the room was constantly damp, and maybe this is related to the smell as well. Even if the aircon was on all the time, the room always felt damp and wet. The Italian restaurant was nice, as long as one don t get too irritated by these little details they never get right in Thailand. This time, our pre-dinner drinks arrived well after the food and wine. But after living in Thailand for a while we get used to these oddities. Still the food was good and service friendly despite the things mentioned above. Anyway, we will come back, but will probably stay at the Ao Prao resort next time.	Flawless as always.
Liu Yu Ching 2008-09-11	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao We did have great time in the resort.... However it was ruined by money stolen in the Gym indise the resort!!!! Very few people were staying(low season),there were few suspects(only certain staff can go into Gym to clean), and we strongly believe that resort staff took the money. Later on we relized when we think about what happened at that time..... It s not small amount of money, but is more the principle that matters in this situation. We incredibly DISAPOINTED that this could happen in 5-STAR resort. We just want to tell everybody who book this resort should be careful their money, and don t take it for granted as you never know what s gonna happen.....!!!!!!!!! We won t go back again, even if service is good.	Good job.....

BUZZ restaurant serves some of the best Thai food we have had in Thailand. Drinks and services can add up quickly!!! Very expensive (Happy Hour at BUZZ is worth it!)	Great

David SERVIERES 2008-08-09 until 2008-08-12	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao Very expensive for what it is. We stayed in the Spa Villa and have been very disapointed. The terrace as well as the spa bathtub was not clean and we did not even dare to use it. The room (spa villa) is not well organized, and our shower Rain style shower was very hard to use as it was not that rainy...! We mentionned it to the reception, but nothing happened. The service is very poor, no staff around looking for your comfort, and having lunch nearby the swiming pool takes ages (one dish for one person after the other and separated by about 20 minutes...!). We ve been living in Thailand for more than 8 years already, and I can tell that for the same price (more than 8,000 THB), you can get much much better in other hotels. I would recommend to go for a cheaper room on the same beach (the beach is indeed very nice and beautiful). Furthermore, le Vimarn is not the only one to have a swiming pool, the Ao Prao Resort has also one now. One good point, the restaurant (Buzz), the thai restaurant of the resort is very good with a good atmosphere, decoration and service. Conclusion: We DO NOT recommend this hotel, and will not go there again as we ve been VERY disappointed.	The booking through Sawadee is very convenient and very professional. Nothing to say about it except very good.
Patty Oppel 2008-06-27 until 2008-06-29	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao We stayed in the deluxe cottage. Fabulous resort, very clean and well managed. The staff were always available and very helpful. The shuttle to Rayong is a great alternative to the local ferry and we were able to book an afternoon snorkeling trip with Jimmy s Tours through the resort - very nice service. Perfect place for a relaxing, romantic weekend. Only drawback, very pricey but worth it for a special occasion.	Very easy and quick.

Nice and friendly hotel staff. Lovely pool. We had no problem at all during our stay. The O restaurant was very expensive and suggest dining at any of the other restaurants of Le vimarn, Lima coco or Ao Prau who share the same stretch of beach. Since the beach stretch is the same the other 2 hotels could provide cheaper stay, however Le Vimarn rooms and the best and is the only hotel with a pool.	Excellent booking service. Very quick reaction, immediate booking and confirmation and good customer response system. only one thing, we paid for achild with extra bed, but realised at the hotel that that needn t be paid. They already had a couch cum bed and would not hav charged us extra had we not already paid at the time of booking
John Byrne 2008-05-14 until 2008-05-16	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao It seems that they can be surly on reception and also overcharge for internet use, which you usually expect to be free in these class of hotels. Upon arrival the attitude changed somewhat when we confirmed our reservation. Overall a lovely place, but still need to learn on customer service and nothing to do at night bar one restaurant.	Booking Service was excellent and efficient.
Xavier Bourdouleix 2008-04-18 until 2008-04-20	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao We normally stay on the opposite side of Ao Prau beach but we will keep coming back to Le Vimarn. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bedding is so soft!! The pool itself is worth the extra money. Also, the little extras like a DVD player in the room make the price worth it. Also, the beach is much better at this end. The restaurant is quite pricey though but it is not mandatory to eat there.	Great!

The room we had was the Deluxe cottage and was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. We found the cottage to be lovely, would even upgrade next trip. The food prices were a little overpriced would be my only critic from the resort Le Vimarn. The Thai restaraunt Buzz is a must, living in Bangkok I can say its up there with the best Thai food we ve had. The beach is there for all to use all the way down to the Ao Prao resort. Great snorkeling and fun for the kids. I didn t experience a child suffering from boredom. The Le Vimarn gets a big tick from us.
Kwansiri Nakloung & Rudy van der Hoeven 2008-02-08 until 2008-02-10	Paradee, Koh Samet, Ao Prao Absolutely the best resort on all of Samed and one of the best in Thailand. Two private beaches on east and west coast, superb villas with all the top equipment and furniture. Great staff, great kitchen and a winelist top restaurants in Bangkok can only dream off	Booking was confirmed in another resort, when we arrived the upgraded us to Paradee without any hasle. Great Service!!
MCCABE Céline & Frans 2008-02-04 until 2008-02-09	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao The hotel is great BUT the service is SO NOT!!! - The staff does not speak english, can t give you any proper info... - The rooms should be sprayed (against mosquitoes) BEFORE we arrive, and you should like cockroaches too... =/ - The restaurants close at 11 pm but you can t order food after 9 pm! and so on
Dmitry 2007-04-09 until 2007-04-12	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao We have stayed at this hotel twice and a last time was really great.The hotel has changed a chief so food was so yammu that I have never tried before. SPA is fantastic no doubt.People at the hotel are always friendly and always takes care about the guests. But some rooms and SPA Villas need to fix them up and renovate a little bit.

Very over priced especially the food which wasnt very impressive at all (the other problem being that there isnt much choice as the other resort on the beach is owned by the same company with similar prices/quality and going to other places on the island is not an option since the state of the paths/roads are so bad). We stayed in one of the Spa villas for 4 nights, the room was quite small and the balcony wasnt very big (including a small bath). The beach was also dissapointing (very rocky). I usually suscribe to the you get what you pay for theory, but certainly not in this instance!	Excellent

Frank Belitz 2005-05-03 until 2005-05-06	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao This resort still has a long way to go before living up to its advertisment of a Boutique resort - given comparison with the true deluxe resorts in Thailand. This aside it is a very charming small hotel with efficient, discreet and friendly service. The rooms are all nicely presented, calm and have a minimalist type of comfort and style. Most activities can be found either here or right next door at the sister hotel which shares the same small beach / cove. The spa is very good. Recommended for a short break for those not wanting to go too far from Bangkok	Very efficient and helpful - know where to go for any future trips to Thailand

Anson Poon 2004-11-26 until 2004-11-27	Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa, Koh Samet, Ao Prao I must say I have chosen the perfect one and this is my dream Resort / Spa / Cottages (whatever u wanna name it). No wonder it becomes one or two the most unique Cottage in Koh Samet Island. I was living in a Villa Spa suite, the room was superb, and not to mention about the outdoor spa pool located in a hugh private balcony which u could view the sunset or feel the nite bleeze with the one u love. Dont expect this resort is any normal pricing one, as the services really telling the difference. Definitely a must if u r looking for the best and quality stuff in your life.	the website is a bit clumsy and not user friendly i must say. Always have error page when submitting orders. And u cannot go back to the previous page and correct some of the details. As a result, i hv 4-5 booking numbers !!
Dr. Robert Cardinalli 2004-08-28 until 2004-08-30	Le Vimarn Cottages, Koh Samet, Ao Prao We were lucky to get a reservation for one of the Spa villas, which was great. It is everything it is advertised to be in terms of interesting design, tasteful and comfortable furnishings. The staff at Le Vimarn were wonderful and very charming. The restaurant was quite good and we had a couple of great dinners at reasonable prices. On the downside, sometimes sitting on the beach was a little noisy with the trucks and motorbikes coming right across by the beach deliverying supplies to both Vimarn and the neighboring Ao Prao hotel, though I am not sure what the alternative might be. We found that the water that filled up our hot tub on our deck was dark yellow and cruddy looking, so we never used the tub. The deck however is beautiful, and the view, of course, spelndid. We asked for a DVD player for our room---there being only a VCD player available---and one was provided, though on a daily rental basis. We thought the hotel should have provided a DVD player anyway. The swimming pool was very pleasant especially that it faces the sea. Most of the time we had it to ourselves and one of two others. This place seems to attract weekend visitors from Bangkok, so my advice is to try to stay as far as possible during the week, when the real peace and quiet you crave will be within reach.	The Sawadee booking service was very prompt and helpful, responding to all my e-mails right away and helping with logistics regarding transport to the island. The transport van provided to and from Bangkok was very spacious, clean and the driver was safe and courteous. Couldn t have asked for better and more reliable service
Nicola Scott 2004-07-13 until 2004-07-15	Le Vimarn Cottages, Koh Samet, Ao Prao I stayed in the deluxe cottage and was pleased with the presentation and comfort of the accomodation. The cocktail and basket of fruit on arrival was a lovely touch. Staff were friendly and efficient, and very helpful organising transportation to and from the island. The scenery was perfect - white sand and coconut palms. I had a very relaxing, enjoyable vacation and would reccomend this resort.	Great. I had alternative transport arranged from Bangkok to the resort, and back via the airport all thanks to Mr Pong. Thank you it made the trip much easier knowing these details were organised.

The rest of the island was not so beautiful.For swimming en snorkeling was it very nice.	The booking service from thailand travel was good. We have one complaint. We booked a taxi to bangkok for 3000 bath. The staff was helpful to find the right taxi. When we are in the taxi, he stopped after 200 meter and our lugage was dropped in a other taxi. This was a old one and we must go out en must sit in the other taxi. This was very unpleasant. He drives like a mad man and somethimes he drives very dangerous.
