Areca lodge has 80 luxurious guest rooms. The minute you enter an open-air lobby deliberately decorated in sandstone, teakwood and fire-on-wood artwork - you will find yourself truly blended into the beauty of nature...and this is how your days at Areca lodge will begin.
Each room is attractively decorated and fully operational with all present facilities to ensure best comfort during your stay such as individually controlled air-conditioners, a fully stocked mini bar, cable TV with more than 30 channels, bathtub and shower with hot and cold water, etc. A private terrace is provided to give you extra space to catch fresh air.
Although located in the heart of Pattaya City where space is limited, a liberal parking area is provided. Moreover, the white sandy beach front and fancy shopping malls are within just a five-to-ten-minute walk from the hotel.

THE HOTEL IS IN AN IDEAL LOCATION,SITUATED CLOSE TO ALL THE BARS AND NIGHLIFE AS WELL AS THE SHOPS AND BEACH.THE BEAUTY OF IT IS THAT IT ALLOWS YOU TO RELAX AND PARTY DEPENDING ON HOW YOU FEEL.THE ROOMS AND AMENITIES ARE EXCELLENT,STAFF ARE FREINDLY AND HELPFUL,I WOULD DEFINETLY GO BACK.

very nice hotel, everything of good quality from room to breakfast - best of 6 hotels on this vacation. Impressive that everybody from bellboy to egglady spoke english. only complaint - hard to find due to lack of sign on the bigger roads - lying very central but in a small soi . Spring for a big sign out there and you should rate it 4 stars instead of 3.

service okay, quick, precise and polite, but give the opportunity to pay all in one time instead of spliting the payment in two. about below: since i allways get good service, whichever agent i have used, average is good, not just okay. cannot say better than expectet, cause i expectet no mistakes and got it, so non of the possible answers below covers my opinion.

About the hotel:
The Areca has been open about 8 years. I have stayed at the hotel at least 7 times. I am a non smoker and at this point the rooms in Building #1 and #2 are smelling old inside. Like stale smoke, etc. The New Building will open after New Years 2010 and If you are a non smoker I would suggest that you request the 3rd building. I also attempted to eat lunch (pineapple chicken fried rice)in the dining room and was served rancid food that I sent back to the kitchen. Had I eaten it, it could have DESTROYED my holiday with illness.

This is the best hotel in Pattaya both in absolute terms and value for money. It is spotlessly clean with friendly staff and excellent rooms with most comfortable beds. Also good facilities. Highly recommended.
