(South) location good but because of the rain and very wet afternoon the lobby traps all the foul smells from the street, As very poor ventilation is the culprit. Reception staffs was friendly. Manage to get a room away from the noise.Breakfast was nice enough, Shower curtain railing needs attetion as it about to fall of the wall. guess someone must have doing a rail dance in the bathroom, Nice to know umbrella is in the room for you when you need it, Couldn t get a hair dryer after washing hair, as we were wet in the rain feel disapointed, however request and got it the next day. A nice hotel for those who likes walking around sightseeing, shopping and to be in the centre of the action	no problem got things done in orderly manner and helpful. thanks Jeap for the last minute ammendment on my booking. keep up the good work,

Close to all the entertainment in Soi 7 and 8 and not far by taxi bus to Walking street. Unfortunately i was too hung over at 11am so i missed the free breakfasts	great service

(South) Good facilities.Staff always friendly and willing to help if required.Soi 8 is always very lively but as I always sleep with ear plugs the outsie noise did not stop me from sleeping. Thaivisa.co very efficient and I got exaclty as ordered.So all in all i enjoyed may stay at Sunshine Residences and will stay there again sometime in the future.

(South) I have stayed at the sunshine hotel twice a year for the past 8 years and always been satisfied with the service i have received. I would however have liked the option of room only basis as in the past, but the price does not warrant this. My advise to the hotel and others, through an experience on my recent visit is to (a) provide and (b) always stipulate a non smoking room.	simple strait forward and no hastle but prices need to be more competitive for the forthcomming year

(South) I absolutely agree with PAUL CARPENTER s comment on the Hotel. positive side: practically in everything!!!(breakfaSts - the most positive side I consider,friendly and helpfull staff, good location, nice room cleaning, All Day Cafe is very convinient - facing our hotel, working till 2.30 a.m. Rooms Standart - not so good as I wanted but for resanoble price it s quite OK. Hotel is value for money - not very cheap but cheaper than a lot of others hotels in Pattaya. I Don t LIKE - 1) in spite of great location, it was VERY noisy there to have good sllep, all bars are working till aboy 3 a.m. and from 6-7 p.m. a very loud music sounds evedy day, so You can get use to this. 2) Not very convinient swimming pool - the depth becomes under steep incline. If you are staying only for having sleep at night - this Hotel is the best decision for You!	In one word - Excellent!!!

paul carpenter 2008-10-01	Sunshine Hotel & Residences, Pattaya, Beach Rd. (South) I was one of five guys out to party in Pattaya. In this case the hotel is great, the right location in one of the busiest soi s, no charge for taking guests back to your room, and very friendly and easy going staff. The basic rooms are basic, but have double beds, air conditioning, mini bar. If like me you just sleep in the room and nothing else then they are fine. If you want a little more luxury the rooms in the new wing are better and only a little more cost. This is my fourth time in this hotel and for us it is without doubt the right one. If however you are in pattaya for other reasons to us, perhaps a different hotel may be better. Its a very noisy soi and early nights ( before 2am ) are a non starter in most of the rooms.	First time ive used this booking service, and everything ran smooth. Will defo use again when we go in jan 09.

My only complaint would be that the towels were a little on the worn side.	no problems I ended up being a day late but they contacted the hotel for me and my reservation was held.

(South) The hotel was value for money (Very cheap) & in a good central location but the room was a bit ancient & the bed old (Sagging on one side) probably too many fat falangs !!! The daily maid service was good, they still serviced the room even after a long lay in….. All the staff I had contact with were curtsies (As all the Thai people are…) the street out side was a bit noisy but you got used to that. The next time I visit I think I will go up-market to a bigger hotel. Oh…. The breakfasts were excellent…. Set you up for the day !!!	No problems

It is on a very busy street with music playing loudly late into the night, but I was put in a quieter room away from the street so did not hear it much. The staff were most helpful. It was a good investment for the money. The location near all of the bars was not to my liking, but all in all, I liked staying there and eating at the restaurant beside the hotel.

(South) The hotel is really good. special thing is that breakfast is too good. really one can enjoy the break fast. i have seen the breakfast in other hotels costlier than this, but they are really poor. you will find all types of food there. I enjoyed breakfast much.i enjoyed my stay. hotel staff are good. for the money it is more than enough. i preffer to stay there again.dont forget to book the room with break fast. seaview is not so good. but its ok.	Booking service is really good.

(South) Great staff very friendly special wishhes to Pyathmot the receptionist who help with flights to Phuket,reccomend the superior seaview rooms in the residence section,rooms are cleaned daily and stocked, the hotel is guest friendly if you require it, ATM and money exchange right in front of the hotel, Tops supermarket is just a walk up the road if you want to stock up with your own drink and food	gret sevice from sawadee,promt with their emails I will be using them again.

(South) the hotel is well located , maybe the new wing where we stayed is good, we booked 3 rooms facing seaview nd were offered only 2 rooms facing sea view nd 1 room was offered only standard room in the same building although charges we paid as advance were for the sea view, sea view is also an eyewash, it hardly has any view. they shud offer us the refund if they dnt gve us sea view when we paid extra for that instead when we vacated the hotel the two ladies at reception were very rude to us, one on the cash nd the other on the reception when we requested that we leave two rooms before time nd need one room till 2 pm, which they asked for 100 bhats per hour extra money nd this spoiled the whole holiday as they both were unhospitable. i think such staff who is so rude is not fit for hotel job. the manager intervened who was helpful to us. if not was the manager we wud have definately given a written compalint to the management, as both girls refused to give there name when we said we want to file a complaint in there respective names for there rude behaviour. i must tell swadde shud take this action with there managment for tanrnishing the hotel nd swadee s image. i hve planty to write but i think one incident is enough to take action by the managment. if they cant gve us the room which is booked nd paid for, they have no right to ask us for extra money for just 2 hours extra	execellent no complaints

(South) In general, our staying in Sunshine was good,staff was friendly to us there.But I think this htl was not the best choice for two girls, for men it is good-around the hotel there are a lot of girly pubs:) Rooms need some renovations, breakfast is good, and ALL DAY Cafe is really convinient place to eat when you are lazy to go out for dinner, it offers good food for reasonable prices. Location is good also - not far to main shopping malls, just take tuk tuk from the Beach road, if you go to Festival Center, Big C supermarket take tuk tuk from the Second road. But its pretty far from Jomtien Beach. I would recommend it	great!fast,efficient.

Booked a the luxe room on the top floor in the new residence building, a good and large room. Next time better one floor lower because the airco is working hard but the top floor is hot when you are not at the room and the airco is off. The only negative thing is that they are working next to the Hotel and that you wil wake up early because they are starting whit there work. This wil be finished in one year from now.	The service is good and the room was availeble as I ordered. Next time and the end off this wil com back again.

Hotel is very old and smelly .Bath rooms do not have tub so when one takes shower it become a swamp. Shower spout is always of the hook and it takes few minutes to get hot water if you have rooms on upper floors. The reception people are freindly. I do not recommand this hotel . I recommand Sawsadee Sea view Hotel at sio 10 but get Superior room.	The best in Thailand

(South) The Hotel is fine you get what you pay for had to reject the first room as it was horrible with one tiny window no view. It does get a lot of street noise at night and the walls are thin so you do hear night time activities! But all in all no pom pem.

Staffs are very friendly with special mention to the front desk staff (K. Aoy and K. Den) - thank you for your assistance in getting around and booking for shows. Our room on the 12th floor was very good - panoramic view of the sea, nice and quiet despite the location amidst bars at neighboring areas.Breakfast was also good, not like the usual breakfast in budget hotels. Food selection was very nice. Should you wish to eat at their hotel restaurant, price is so reasonable and taste is really good. The best thing in this hotel is that it is only a few steps away from the beach-perfect location, I would say.	Efficient as always. I have been an avid user of sawasdee.com since I relocated in thailand more than 2 years ago.

(South) upon arrival i kindly wrote my name on a piece of paper and told the girl i had a reservation. she soon returned to tell me i had no reservation at which time i replied someone took my money by computer so please try again !! she returned the second time with apologies and a smile and rectified her mistake..that was at the same time some drunk german man was being escorted out of the building but not before he caused immense trouble at the check in counter...all in all the hotel staff was nice, the hotel was clean, and the location was adequate...the price was good but again when booking for another hotel i was told that it was sold out and this was my alternative...i will stay here again given the chance..	booking was efficient and when i had a problem because they only booked me one room and i wanted two, they were quick to accommodate...

(South) The hotel is situated in a very prime location on Soi 8 for both day and nighttime activities with a short walk down to where you can catch a taxi to Walking Street. The Hotel staff go out of their way to ensure one has a comfortable stay and is very accomodating. The Hotel Cafe is also very good, with a wide selection of food to choose from; I highly recommend the Thai Dishes!

I booked a standard seaview room, and was upgraded to a superior room for the whole 7 days , much to my surprise. Also, the addition of the buffet style breakfast was a big plus! I highly recommend this hotelfor value, cleanliness, and efficient staff!	Your booking service also is the best that I have used, and will return for my next visit!

(South) I stayed in the Sunshine Hotel and found it to be very acceptable, My room was possibly a little tired and could have done with freshening up a little but all in all it was acceptable for the Rate paid (Don t be put of by this comment as there are newer area s within this Hotel that are much better - I was just unlucky with my booking). In room facilities were acceptable, Service staff were very good and bedding was always clean and well turned down. Breakfast was good with a varied choice btween usual Western food and some Thai Dishes. Pool was clean and a nice place to relax in the morning sunshine. If you are coming to Pattaya fot the fun and atmosphere then Soi 7 & 8 are for you, can be a little noisy during the early hours but benifits are a wonderful night life right on your doorstep, Hotel has good policy for non regestered guests so no problems here...... I would stay again and I would have no problems recomending the hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy Pattaya and its ambience.	Sawadee were great (as always) even a problem with my arrival Transport was dealt with in there usual efficient stlye although maybe a sorry might have helped cool the situation down .... I would like to think they owe the girl on the Airport Information Desk a buch of flowers, she was excellant and really helped when I needed assistance with my Transportation problem.
