Ayutthaya sits in the middle of the central plains, on the fertile delta of the Chao Phraya River. Four major rivers, the Chao Phraya, Pa Sak, Noi, and Lop Buri Rivers encircle and nourish it. The City lsle, the heart of the province, is surrounded by the former three rivers. The web of waterways around and throughout the whole islet brought its nickname "Venice of the Orient" by western visitors

About the hotel: no surprises, safe, almost clean, comfy stay. just one night, as a stopover, been there couple times but never stayed overnight. was planning on longer stay, but nothing in town interested me, nice for 1st time tourist. i self drive, so location not a problem, but is not in main area, and very limited food in area. breakfast was fine. eggs cooked fresh, pot/ham/hotday were cold as expected. toast / coffee / tea were self serve and also had veggies for a salad, nice added touch. few choices for breakfast. didn t use restaurants besides breakfast. on the river, but unless in higher room, no view, and not much of a view anyway. there i a riverside restaurant, i checked out, seemed a bit higher priced, but can t comment if worth the extra, as didn t sample.
About the reservation service: booking service, excellent as always
About the hotel: The staff at this hotel were exceptional. They have good English, are very friendly, and went out of their way to assist our group with anything we needed. They arranged a boat around the rivers and canals, and a taxi for the rest of the sightseeing.
About the reservation service: Online booking service was handled with ease. Quick response and no troubles on arrival at the hotel.
About the hotel: Pleasant and appropriate(clean) Hotel. The staff of the hotel is nice and at your disposal. The hotel would need a rafraichissement young so that it is ideal.
About the hotel: The Hotel is not good. The sercvice is verry bad; all the thinks on the breakfest are coold (eggs, ham, usw.).
I cannot prefer the hotel.
About the reservation service: The service is good, no probleme.
About the hotel: Good location near train station, otherwise on the wrong side of the river, i.e. the more shady part of town. Rooms no frills, ok, clean, bathroom basic. Service non-existent: They forgot our wakeup call. Breakfast was poor quality. Overall not recommendable.

ATTRACTION
Ayutthaya :
The ancient city of Ayutthaya, formally designated Phra Nakhon
Si Ayutthaya was the Thai capital city for 417 years ago, and is one
of Thailand's major tourist attractions.
Ayutthaya province is relatively small at 2,557 sq.km. and is easily
accessible due to good road, rail and river connections and its
proximity to Bangkok, Straddling the Chao Phraya River, the nation's
principal waterway, the province is extremely important, as it was
the Siamese capital for four centuries. The city of Ayutthaya is 76
km. north of Bangkok and boasts numerous magnificent ruins from its
days as the capital. Just to the south, in perfect condition, stands
the royal palace of Bang Pa-In set in splendid gardens. The province
is also noted for H.M. the Queen's Bang Sai Arts and Crafts Centre.
Many ancient ruins and art works can be seen in a city that was
founded in 1350 by King U-Thong when the Thais were forced
southwards by northern neighbors. During the period when Ayutthaya
was capital, 33 kings and several dynasties ruled the kingdom, until
the glittering city was sacked by the Burmese in 1767, ruined and
abandoned.
The extensive ruins and the historical records
demonstrate that Ayutthaya was one of Southeast Asia's most
prosperous cities. In recognition of its historical and cultural
importance, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park, the location
of the ruins adjacent to today's city, was declared a
UNESCO'S World Heritage site in 1991.
