| This beautifully landscaped 70-acre botanical park by the Ta
Chine River is located just outside Bangkok and has provided
entertainment, relaxation, golfing, accommodation and a place to
meet since 1962. Culture, tradition and a native way of life have
been preserved through daily practices and performances. See our way
of life for yourself on your next visit to the Sampran Riverside. It is truly organic in design as three generations of owners and community have put their passion and energy into making the Sampran Riverside less like a set of attractions and more like a community destination. It is also mind-boggling to think of the range of experiences and encounters that happen here every day - from cultural shows to river boat rides, and from cooking classes to seminars and theme evenings. Nature With 70 acres of manicured garden. River lake, elephant enclosures and farm spaces....The Sampran Riverside is a celebration of Thailand's natural bounties. Set anywhere in Thailand, The Sampran Riverside would be something special. But to find a property such as this, just a 1-hour drive from Bangkok, is something of a revelation. Culture Thailand is changing rapidly. Without constant reminders of the roots of the Thai culture, there is a danger that the richness of Thailand the way it used to be could be lost. The Sampran Riverside captures Traditional Thai Living in relaxed and charming ways. Healthy Traditional Thai Living stresses the balance often lacking in today's stress-filled life. People lived near the water, amid greenery. Their food came straight from the wet markets, and was intense in flavours, yet low in salt, sugar and MSG. Fish, fruits, vegetables and nuts were staples while high-fat food was an extravagance. Thai cooking sought an optimal combination of flavours - in ways that would restore vitality. |
