Schmid 2008-08-16	Trang Hotel Bangkok, Khaosan Road area, Wisutkasart The Trang Hotel Bangkok is quite alright, just that the rooms are a bit small, and the pool is covered with glass, so you cant tan in the sun. The food was o.k but a bit pricey for what you get, but there is a relatively good chinese restaurant located on the ground floor of the Trang Hotel Bangkok. I know chinese food, and i must say it was quite tasty and resonable. But i dont jknow if i would stay at the Trang Hotel again in the future. It was a second choice hotel. For people who need to catch a train the hotel is great since its just a 5 minute drive from Bangkoks central train station. I found this hotel on RES24ASIA.COM.	The booking on Res24asia.com went fine as usual, swift, secure and very good rates. No problems at all.

Peter Norman 2008-05-28 until 2008-06-02	Trang Hotel Bangkok, Khaosan Road area, Wisutkasart i was in building 1, and stayed in the cheapest room. i found the room and bathroom to be clean, tidy, and in very good shape. Nice laminate floors (best for tropical places) bar fridge and multiple english TV channels. The breakfast changes every day, and although did not have a huge selection, all was very flavourful, and i loved the tree covered outdoor eating area with the beautiful koi pond (you can eat inside if you chose). I would reccomend this hotel to anyone. Only one problem, many taxi s dont know where the hotel is, but this was solved by carrying a hotel business card that has a map in thai language on the back for taxi s (get from reception desk). PS (other important information)... if you need a taxi to drive you to many places for the whole day, i siggest hiring Cool , he is a guy who stands outside the hotel on the sidewalk. However if you are not going to many many places over long distances, the normal taxi s are best (normal = one you flag down on the street) and always make sure they turn on the meter. if they offer you a deal with no meter, the cost will always be at least double the meter, often it is 4-8 time more than what the meter would be... so ALWAYS go by METER ONLY.... especially from the the airport go to the meter taxis (they will charge you 50 baht extra - this is the airport charge).	no problems, and very helpful even when i called at the last minute (minutes before check out time) to stay more days. ALSO... we found that usually the hotels with Sawadee.com are cheaper than the same hotel with other online booking services.

Situated about 15 minutes walk from Kao San area -- so quiet but still accessible. Big pool. All rooms have no-smoking signs -- we requested a smoking room but they don t seem to have any. Other than tha, no complaints.	I wanted to book 2 nights but got a booking for 1 night and couldn t seem to correct it. (direct booking from hotel costs more)

Works very well, provided you are aware of your choice!

Would opt for more luxury if I was staying in Bangkok for more than a few days, but if it s just a couple of nights, this does the job.	We were running on a budget,and found this site an excellent quick reference for hotels of different prices and standards for both our trip to Koh Chang and Bangkok.

The room was not cleaned or well kept, particularly the bathroom. Hot and cold water did not work properly. Staff were helpful, but not overly friendly. Breakfast was cold with poor selection. Overall, I would not suggest this hotel or stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not a sound from the big city and we got a good night sleep. Very good breakfast buffee.	Easy and safe!

Hotel location is very good. 40 Bat with Taxi to the Kauasan Rd. or the Great Place. Hotel team is friendly. No city map in the reception. Take at the airport. Breakfast at the Hotel is nice. Swimming pool is a nice thing for the evening Book your trips at the Kausan roud it is much cheaper than at the Hotel If simple and old room is OK for you take it. For 1300 BAT it is a good place.	Sawadee.com. The booking took too long. Normally Sawadee are better.

The pool was large although we didn t have any time to swim. Everyone was very helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel to people staying in Bangkok. It was clean, quiet and situated near many views of interest, ie., Royal Palace and other interesting places. The pool is well kept and breakfast was good. I will use this hotel again.	Sawadee.com has always delivered for me! And, I will keep using them in the future.

Marta and Martin 2006-09-17 until 2006-09-18	Trang Hotel Bangkok, Khaosan Road area, Wisutkasart ok, but room we got wasn t definitelly the one shown on the photos... was basic, two beds pushed together pretending to be a double, so we had bare electricity joint (where normally are the night lamps fixed to the wall) right above our heads, in the middle of the bed. since we booked that room for 1 night only we asked to be shown the higher standard room - it was nicer and bigger but still far from the picture shown on sawadee.com. pool was nice and clean but shuts at 20:00 so we couldn t do what we wanted - come back after long hot day of sightseeing in Bangkok and have a refreshing swim, we gave up on this place (pool was one of the biggest for s for choosing trang hotel). american breakfast was ok as long as you took thai food. fried eggs were cold and sitting out much too long, cold meat and sausages were drawned in water and so wer cold as well... location wasn t too good either, on map it looks close to centre - Khosan Road and other attractions but it s a long walk along very busy street, plus in the nearby area there were no places to eat. we had to look for food stalls for a good while afer we arrived. As for the extension of stay we couldn t get the same price as via web (web price 1050B, in hotel 1400B) decided to move elsewhere - moved to sawsadee Khosan Inn and must say that as per standard it was very close, maybe just a bit smaller room - but half price (for deluxe room there we paid 750B), and location far better. so would rather recommend hotels from sawsadee group than Trang hotel!	ok, no problems with original booking. though it s a shame you can t book a room from the same day. we wanted to extend our stay and system wouldn t allow us to chose today s date as staring date.

Everything is almost the same as You can see but much more used. Every room smells. Carped is not clean, bath is old. View is either a firewall, or nothing special. Breakfast is great, stuff is normal. Not so bad, but not like at the pictures.	O.K.

Staff were fairly nice and helpful so no worries there. Fair bit away from Koh San Road tuk tuk required. Better places closer by try Buddy Lodge :)	Excellent no problems

The pictures are highly deceiving, we booked deluxe rooms and despite having paid in advance, when we arrived these were full. For the first night they upgraded us to a suite but the following day tried to downgrade us to superior rooms, only after confrontation did they offer to maintain the upgrade. The staff seem totally indifferent to the guests and frankly I did not feel safe leaving my possession in this establishment. The best points have to be the location and the helpul guard in the carpark. Although I will not be returning.	Smooth, thank you.

Rooms were clean but drab and the bath and shower were very worn. The pictures look great on the website, but I think the photography has been very cleverly managed.

Unfortunately found some of the staff to be less than helpful at times (at the front desk)which was a bit of a shock after the wonderful hospitality we were shown everywhere else in Thailand.	Excellent!

Once I arrived at the reception, and while I was taken to my room, I was able to see how impressive the facilities of the hotel were. The room was very good as compared to some hotels I stayed in during other visits to Bangkok. While not located a walking distence from certain touristic attractions, I had quite an easy time obtaining a taxi or a tuk tuk only a few minutes after I left the hotel. If looking for a good deal for your money, I would recommend the Trang Hotel.	Great as always.

I stayed in a deluxe room, which was large but had the stale scent of cigarettes. I wouldn t go out of my way to recommend staying here.	Always very convenient

The breakfast does not have a large selection of western foods. There is no cereal, bacon or other familar selections, however there is cold fried eggs, ham and mini sausages and a big range of rice and noodle dishes.	The booking was convenient and we will certainly book using Sawadee again.

You could say the price/quality is OK, but for a few hundred baht more you can easily double your comfort nearby. The hotel is situated in a very busy street. The restaurant food is OK but pricey and comes with free karaoke in the background.	Very smooth.

The conditions at this hotel are disgusting,this place is dirty I had to change my room four times to find a room that was just acceptable. For the price of 1200 Baht you would expect something better. But this hotel is a kipp. You would not like to sit in the bathtub. YOK!!! The staff is not too friendly and I skipt the food thinking if everythin was so dirty what about the kitchen. This place was soo bad I wanted to move out eventhough I have already paid for my stay. You would find rooms at Khao san Road for less money with better conditions. Eventhough I have booked a Superior room they tried to give me a standard room. `Gangstars`	The booking sevice was quick and reliable. But too much money for this hotel
