Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo We stayed in a Standard Room for 1 night. The taxi driver couldn’t find the hotel, had to call reception to get directions. People at reception were not friendly. Room smelt musty and air conditioning didn’t help. Couldn’t open the window. Don’t know if the deluxe rooms were better. Pool didn’t look great. Hotel taxi ridiculously expensive. Almost double the cost to go to airport compared with metered taxi that we got to hotel. Overall I wouldn’t stay there again. The positive for the hotel is that is one street away from Khosan Road, although I wasn’t very impressed with that place either. |
no problems. easy to use. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo the hotel is whatever to say, just ok nothing special at all. The rooms are clean but a little old, and free music from outside until 2 a.m. is inclued. The pool is nice and much better than nothing, the aircon in the room gives only a little cold, this is the way they save energy .. |
Like all time, very fast and very good, I do not know something better. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Good value for the money. Main attractions in walking distance. Rich breakfast included in price. Pleasant pool for hot days. Only room facing to street very noisy. |
Perfect service with no problem. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Comfortable and clean hotel with very friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast big variation of food and beverages. Late check out at 9pm had been possible for half room rate. |
Smooth booking procedure with good information flow. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo good location, old hotel, a little more expensive then a guest house - offering the same facilities (exept breakfast), the rooms we saw(superior) have not been renewed or even painted for years, one side of the hotel is noisy, the rooms heading for the pool-quiet |
effective booking and quick response |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo it is good and met my basic expectation! U can expect a good breakfast, friendly staff and clean room but a bit dark bcoz of lighting. hotel location is very strategic to nearby tourist spots. will recommend to 1st time traveller to bangkok. |
all the booking (hotel and taxi pick up) was properly arranged and i give it thumbs up! |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo A great location - close enough to all the shops and action of Kho San Road with out the noise. Staff friendly & efficient. Rooms large and clean. This is the fourth time that our family has stayed in this hotel & I would recommend it for families. Small but private pool popular with the kids. |
Very helpful & efficient as always. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Great location right beside busy Khao San Road. Rooms standard but clean. Breakfast really tasty with thai and western food. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool excellent to cool down in at the end of the day. We thought a great hotel for the price. |
Excellent service no problems at all |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo I really do not recommend this hotel. 5 hours waiting for a room,a noisy one with holes in sheets ... and all payed in advanced!!! The worst thing, the reception. The man in charge was very disagreeable with us. At every question about Bangkok their answer was take a taxi ... |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo We only stayed one night and then travelled on via Lomprayah early in the following morning. Location of this hotel is brilliant for this purpose. No complaints. |
Easy & reliable, excellent experience |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo This is excellent location and good for stop over if you plan to continue with Lomprayah buss/ferry to Tao-Phangan-Samui next morning. Also Khao San Road is just around the corner. River boat is reachable by foot (about 10 min walk). Hotel is modest but clean with reasonable services (very good foot massage at lobby level). This was the 2nd time we stayed here. |
OK. |
| SIMON DOMINIQUE 2008-07-30 until 2008-08-02 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Too many noise in this hotel. It s not acceptable for us. But,the situation at this hotel it s good (near the Chao Praya). We didn t return in Vientai... |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Loction- at the heart of the action, easy to go to everywhere.Price-too expensive. You can find equal level at nearby area in half price.Aircon is little bit oldy and not so sstrong.Rooms are nice and big. Breakfast is vry good, but no white or yellow cheese. Nice pool, very good service. Travel services too high comparing to others in the area. All by all, it was nice to stay there. |
quick , serius and efficient. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Lovely grand hotel in a great location. The swimming pool is a nice addition, especially in the Bangkok heat! |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Hotel was nice! Room was pretty average, the beds were hard! But it was still good! good budget hotel! :) |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Great location as close to Kohsan Rd. The staff were lovely and the pool was great! Accommodation was nice and clean to. Thanks! |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo A tiny bit of confusion with the room on check in, but this was fixed in a couple of minutes. Nice room, courteous and very helpful staff and the pool is a definite bonus after a day tripping around Bangkok. Nice and close to Khaosan Rd, but not close enough to hear it! WIll definitely stay here again. |
Great. Quick and reliable. |
| Gretchen Rae Kreidler 2008-04-24 until 2008-04-26 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo This hotel was OK. Not great, but not bad. It didn t have much character. It is only one block from the backpackers street and it is very loud. Lot s of clubs and action. BUT, it is close to the Grand Palace if you don t mind a bit of a walk. Even with all the activity, we felt safe. Breakfast buffet was nice. |
No problems with the booking service!! |
| Miss AL Hayes 2008-04-06 until 2008-04-08 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Absolutely fine, for a stop over in crazy non stop city like Bangkok! Great location and the swimming pool was an added bonus! |
Excellent, cannot fault it one bit! |
| Larz 2008-03-25 until 2008-03-26 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Surprisingly nice and quiet hotel in a bustling area. Well-kept pool area, high class restaurant. Budget refers to price more than service, accommodation and facilities. Sorted out misunderstanding swift and generously. Certainly good value for your money. My first choice in the future. |
Fisrt time for me, but I am convinced. This is a reliable and simple way to book. |
| Nicole + Michael Ehnes 2008-03-20 until 2008-03-23 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo The main benefit of this hotel is the central location. Our deluxe-room was okay so far, but seemed to us rather basic. There was a strange smell in our room and our bed-sheets were dirty on our arrival. The personal on the reception was uninterested and arrogant. Fortunately, we stayed in a room on the backside and so it was quite calm. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a wide choice. The taxi-service of the hotel demanded 700 B for the transfer to the airport, which was twice as much as we actually paid in a metered taxi. |
good, efficient service |
| Fiona Barnett 2008-03-17 until 2008-03-19 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Nice hotel, clean and cheap. Good location for those wanting to stay near Khao San Rd. Would definitely recommend to others. |
Great, easy and convenient. |
| Rachel Cohen 2008-03-15 until 2008-03-17 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo The Viengtai was recommended by travelers as a nice place for a start in Bangkok. I had two separate resrevations, because we had a tour in between, and stayed at the Viengtai three nights altogether. We liked it so much that we were sorry to leave it for our next reservation, and on our next visit to BKK we ll definitely stay only there. It is a quiet place in the middle of the hectic and always changing Khao San area. Though their website says that Rambuttri street is two streets off the Khao San, there wasn t so much difference, it isn t a really quiet street. But we took a backside room which was completely quiet, the sixth floor which is No Smoking and larger rooms. The hotel is very comfortable, perfectly clean, helpful staff. I liked the cool stone floor in the room, which suits the Bangkok weather. The breakfast restaurant has specially nice light colors and not the huge hall that I had in other hotels. The hotel is airy and spacious but not imposing, and small enough that they probably don t get groups, that s a definite advantage for people who don t like to be a part of the crowd. It s very convenient and close-by for tourist attractions, we returned to the area for sights after our Viengtai stay was over, so we really should have stayed there longer. The Rambuttri and Khao San area is really fun even though it s not the classic Thai culture, and it didn t bother us at all that most of people there were the age of our grandchildren. It s true that the BTS Skytrain isn t there but there are plenty of cheap taxis - on the street, not the taxi station at the hotel front. You get right to the entrance of where you want to visit, don t have to go up and down 2-3 stories of stairs at the stations. |
Excellent, as expected, and very fast. On an earlier visit I booked with Sawadee and another company, this time I booked only with Sawadee, the quick and clear service is worth it even if there are other cheaper booking services. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo We enjoyed our stay at the Viengtai hotel because of the excellent location in downtown Bangkok. Great area for young travellers. Good service. |
excellent as always |

| Gudrun Bjork Petursdottir 2008-03-09 until 2008-03-12 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Good location but the noise from the street was way too much. At first we thought our window was open, but it wasn t just not so much sound proved!! Good breakfast and helpful staff. |
Great |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Good value for money, best location, friendly and good service, clean rooms and a decent breakfast. |
Effektive as usual. |
| Ravera Stephane 2008-02-26 until 2008-02-28 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Close to main tourist attractions. Has a conveniently refreshing swimming pool. Quality of the bedrooms can vary wildly, eg as regards cleanliness. Breakfast closing time is a bit early (9h30). But staff is efficient and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it. |
Efficient |
| Nancy Eng 2008-02-22 until 2008-02-25 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo horrible stay, would not recommend. Perhaps they have half the rooms renovated, but ours was not. The room was old and small, the bathroom musty, the furnishings weren t really clean, including the sheets, the bed was old, stained and hard as plywood, the carpet was old, and probably hasn t been vacuumed in a while, the fridge didn t work. 3 days in this hotel was too long. The front lobby looked good and the buffet american breakfast was okay. The only good part was the location, walkable to the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, next to Khao San Road and lots of street vendors for shopping. No internet, laundry was expensive, can get it down the road for cheaper. The room key required 500B deposit, and another 500B desposit for a safety deposit box at the front desk. Metered taxi was about 400B on the way in, and 450B on the way out. |
booking service was easy |
| Christoph Gibbs 2008-02-22 until 2008-02-23 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Centrally located hotel. Great for Khao San Road. Easy to get everywhere from here. Hotel big and clean. Unfortunately the maids start cleaning rooms at 5.30 - 6am and aren t quiet about it. |
Brilliant, easy, straight-forward |
| Lesley Clapp 2008-02-12 until 2008-02-16 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Rather an unusual smell prevailing in the downstairs reception and slightly put off when sitting by the pool and 3 people arrived wearing masks and spraying something - they didn t give us a mask! Booked a smoking room only to be told on arrival they didn t do them in Bangkok (managed one the night before..)Room was comfy and didn t get bitten but was not offered any refreshments before departing to the airport at 4.30 am. Altogether, I got what I paid for. |
Brilliant service given to me by sawadee, thanks |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Great Hotel. This was the 3rd time I ve stayed at the Viengtai, and I will return again if I m ever back in Bangkok. It s no Banyan Tree or Oriental, but it doesn t pretend to be. It is a basic, cheap, clean hotel with a nice swimming pool. The rooms are a decent size, breakfast is fine and the staff are helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, one street from Ko San rd but nowhere near as loud or frenetic. The only thing that I can fault it on is the air-con was really loud, so pack ear-plugs. The hotel is perfect for acclimatising to Thai time before flying down to the islands, and I will be back. |
I ve made around ten bookings with this website and it has been perfect every time. |
| Simon Haggarty 2008-01-31 until 2008-02-03 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Excellent service, excelent rooms, overall everything you could possibly need for the perfect stay in Bangkok. The location is second to none and the hotel is in great condition. The pool is clean and the air con is extremely good. |

ROOMS Clean and adequate RECEPTION Courteous and helpfull even in the middle of night MAINTENANCE Noticed flashing red light in ceiling fire alarm . Called reception and within one minute four employers arrived. TOUR OFFICE Very helpfull BREAKFAST Anyone that complains has a problem LOCATION Shopping/eating/drinking -This Khao San Road area has everything for young and old.It is the place to stay. Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Ok rooms, clean, outdated, pool was nice. Front reception was a bit abrupt upon checking in but porters were freindly. probobly the best you could do in the kao sarn area as all are cheap anyway. |
good easy booking |
| Roman Maevsky 2008-01-04 until 2008-01-07 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Hotel was good, well located...smelt a little inside the hotel and in the room however I think this is something that goes for the entire city of Bangkok. Had one small incident where the cleaners didn t read the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and attempted to enter my room on several occasions one morning with the chain on the door being my saviour. Well located right next to Khao San Road too... |
Booking service was great |
| Tracey Barron 2008-01-03 until 2008-01-04 |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo We were very satisfied. We had a room towards the pool and were´nt disturbed at night. The pool was nice although there was no sun at it. Big and clean rooms and a big bathroom. Big breakfast but no yogurt. The location at Khaosan road area was great. |
Bookingservice was easy. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo One street back from Khao San Rd - feels like what KSRd was 20 yrs ago. Clean & quiet rooms, great pool! hearty breakfast selection. Very Westernised but that suited our needs at the time |
Again, would not hesitate to recommend Sawadee. Would defintely use again. Well done in your professional approach |
| Inna K 2007-12-25 until 2007-12-27 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo I believe it s most clean and organized place in area named Kahosan Road . Tipical 3 stars hotel without any extra points. The bed linens were clean, air conditioner worked... |
It was simple and it worked... nothing more to request |
| Kasper Haakansson 2007-12-25 until 2007-12-27 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Very nice hotel, polite staff, good luggage storage and taxi booking service. A good choice, if you want to stay in the lively Banglamphu area, and yet would like to spend a little more than the average budget choice in the area to ensure that you have your own bathroom with warm water, a good bed, clean rooms and everything in order. Breakfast buffet is good, although you really don´t need it, as you just have to take one step outside the hotel to encounter multiple choices of excellent thai breakfast served from the numerous street kitchens (less than 100 Baht for a good meal incl. water and fresh orange juice). We would like to stay here again when we return to Bangkok with our children. |
At check-in the hotel could not find our reservation and payment in their booking system. Luckily they had an available room - although with twin beds and not kingsize bed as requested. They did however find our reservation in the next day, so we had no problems concerning payment. We do not know if the reservation problem was due to sawadee.com or Viengtai Hotel (we suspect the last). |
| Beer Tamar 2007-12-15 until 2007-12-16 |
Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo rooms were dirty, bathroom dirty and full of mold. breakfast very poor. not recommended when there are a lot of good guesthouses who give better prices and better rooms. |

Viengtai Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo I ve stayed at Viengtai Hotel several times. Everytime I ve found their service to be wonderful. The buffet breakfast is great. The rooms are clean and relatively cheap. But the best part is the location. Located on the street adjacent to Koh San Road (a great street for shopping and going out). Thank you for another great stay Viengtai. |
Great service from Sawadee.com yet again! |
