This was my first stay at the St. James. I, along with my wife, brother and his wife, found the hotel to be comfortable and clean. It is close enough to walk to Sukhumvit (about 10 minutes at most) but far enough away not too be noisy. The staff was prompt and very friendly. I reccomend.

I had unknowingly underbooked at another Hotel. Sawadee s Mr. Pong informed me of my problem and found me the St. James. I have used Sawadee in the past and will certainly use again in the the future. I recommend it to all.

The hotel is located in a nice soi not far from the BTS and on arrival everything looks great but once you go on the room floor you can see that the hotel is not as nice as what was your first impression on the ground floor, room was small and I could not get a big bed for me and my wife, on top of that the light in the bathroom was burned...

excellent no problem with the booking

Friendly service and good location, but those can t overcome the major! construction adjacent to the hotel, a new hotel going up. Extremely noisy from 7:30am to 9 pm. I didnt stay in the room during the day, but you would not be able to rest or nap,or probably even watch TV. Construction will probably go on for another year. Breakfast was better than expected from others comments. Room is old and dated but clean. Bathroom was redone, but infrastructure all appears old. Right around the corner from the Emporium Shopping Center, and Skytrain. Even without the construction this should be a $40/night hotel. I would stay at the Majestic Grand (not Majestic Suites) on Soi 2 across from the Marriott. Much better room and facilities for the same price.

St. James Hotel, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 26
The St.James Hotel is a very nice hotel, close to the Emnplorium and other nice shops and restaurants. The service is gentle and the woman in charge is professional and gives good service. However the rebuilding construction of the 6th floor oposit of my room was not very nice. A lot of noise was created by the construction. Also in the swimming pool was a lot of noise caused by construction work of the neighbour building. That has made me to decide to leave the hotel three days earlier than planned.

I hope Sawadee will pay me back the in advanced payments for the other days. If so, I will not have problems to book hotel rooms in future at Sawadee. I will visit Bangkok every two month in future. Regards, R.A. van Hees

a short but pleasant 1 night stay. Great service from super friendly staff, helping with directions and orientation, and esp helping me out when i lost my airline tickets! Restaurant is on the pricey side but food is excellent, and the included breakfast was the best I experienced during my 2 week trip.

Smooth and simple.

A very comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. An experience being in a hotel that was aimed at the Japanese!
