Charles Austin 2008-01-04 until 2008-01-07	Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Riverside, Charoenkrung Road We chose the Royal orchid for its riverfront location and on our daughter s recommendation. (She and her husband stayed there about 15 years ago.) Although we generally chose smaller and less luxurious hotels for the rest of our 3-week trip, we wanted serious comfort to recover from our long trans-Pacific flight and adjust to local time. The Royal Orchid provided this, and was good value for the money.	Excellent and dependable.

The hotel itself is getting a little thread worn, especially for the price. The new soft mattresses would be nice and the bathroom fixtures need an updating. But the service was great, the internet fast, the view of the river beautiful, and the food was EXCELLENT as well as a touch pricey.n If you can t afford the Oriental or Penninsula but want the river views and great service, this is a good value.	Good as always. Only concern is that I booked two rooms, two people PER ROOM and the way the web site is set up, I actually booked two people total (one per room). Luckily the hotel honored the voucher including breakfast but many would not have honored it without extra charges.
Lombard Christophe 2007-08-20 until 2007-08-24	Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Riverside, Charoenkrung Road Due to overbooking by the hotel, we were moved to the Westin for our first night but the Sheraton then upgraded us to a suite with a beautiful riverview and indeed took excellent care of us. Breakfast looks a bit like an eating factory and is too noisy, but what else can you expect in such a huge hotel? A good choice at a reasonable price.

Well located on River with great views - always something happening. Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent	No problems with booking - all was as planned

POIGNONNEC Michel 2007-02-15 until 2007-02-18	Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Riverside, Charoenkrung Road marvelous! this hotel is perfectly located on riverside, all is superb, the breakfast was wonderful, the staff extremely helpful (when you need a taxi for example or...when you lost your money!) all this hotel is very clean and yet you never see every body washing; a great moment in Bangkok, thank you;	no problemo!

Paco 2006-02-11 until 2006-02-15	Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Riverside, Charoenkrung Road The hotel is very comfortable and located in the perfect spot, right on the Chao Praya (BKK river). BKK is a very busy and polluted city and it is good to stay in a hotel which gives some peace from traffic. It lacks a certain charm like the Oriental but the price difference between the 2 hotels is so wide that if I go back to BKK I d defenitely stay at the Royal Orchid. The room was modern with a certain style, if not lavish, certainly upscale.	Perfect. I was skeptical but I didn t have any problems.

The views across the river from our room on the 18th floor were stunning. The hotel facilities were great - especially the garden pool which was lovely. Breakfast was fab and it was great to be able to sit on the terrace by the river every morning. The hotel shuttle bus to the nearby Skytrain was really useful, and the proximity to the river meant it was quick and easy to get the ferry to the Grand Palace. We would definitely stay here again. Mr. Dave 2005-12-27 until 2005-12-29	Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Riverside, Charoenkrung Road Very beautiful hotel with excellent service. We stayed in a deluxe river view room that had two double beds, and everything was to our satisfaction. The hotel pools were beautiful as was their workout facility. The breakfast buffet was top-notch. There was quick access to the river and the ferries. The one bitter taste in our mouth was when the concierge tried to get us into a taxi with a fixed rate to the airport of 300 baht. We demanded the meter and saved a bit, so be aware. I would stay here again.	Terrific.

The hotel is conveniently located and it was easy to use the river taxis. The room was excellent and we enjoyed the river view.	The reservation system worked great, excellent service, and transfer from airport to hotel efficient.

The location was not as good as the Intercontinental for shopping/tailors etc, however was good for the river cruises and visits to the Temples. Didn t think that the gym was big enough for the size of the hotel and thought that there would have been more place to eat in the Hotel.	Fantastic service and have recommended to many friends travelling in Thailand.

Our room was on the 7th floor and, because of a lot of noises coming from renovations on the ground floor, we were upgraded to a suite on the 15th floor! The staff were marvelous, extremely helpful. The Thai restaurant was very good and the buffet restaurant was excellent - although quite expensive by Thai standards. Don t get confused between the free water in the bathroom and the water by the tea/coffee facilities - which cost 160 baht each!!	Very efficient.
