New World City Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo It locates near to a dirty river. The bath room is awful. The air conditioner is very noisy. But the room is big enough for a couple. Breakfast is just so-so. |
good |

New World City Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Hotel staff was not very friendly or helpful. It is safe, reliable, so OK as back-up place if other plans fail. |
Booking service was helpful and responsive, especially in regards to the ploitical situation in Bangkok at that time. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo 3 times in this hotel. This time last time. They need a little clean up with the bathroom. And there s a lot of constrution around in front in back so difficult to sleep! |
Always perfect! Thank you so much |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo My husband and I stayed at the New World City Hotel twice in the last month and we were very satisfied with the service and the location. It is placed right on a small klong and just a short walk from Kosan rd. and public boats that take you to other parts of Bkk.A nice breakfast bufé.They also have a very good travel service with very helpful personel. There is also a nice massage parlour attatched to the hotell. The only thing I would like them to change is there internet booking system where you pay before instead of after, it gets complicated when you exceed the minutes you have paid for and you have to start all over again. |
The booking service worked very well. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo The Hotel is fine, but a bit old. I booked 1 double bed and 1 extra bed but the receptionist gave me 3 single bed. so I have to come back downstairs and complain, then they moved me to another room. Breakfast was good, the tour and travel officer was so helpful and friendly, they help me alot and gave important informations about Tuk-tuk n taxi price, scam, etc..the thing is I dont like the toilet as it old and not my type haha..but the room is fine.. |
the process was so quick, I was happy..
thanks to sawadee.. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Good hotel, but kind of overpriced. The rooms are good, but a bit old. Bathroom was bad, and the rooms in one wing had lot s of noise due to construction work next to it; they changed our rooms after complaining though. Very good location, close to Kao San. You can find much better and cheaper hotels though, if you don t mind staying in other areas (less touristic) - did so in my 2nd visit, two weeks later. |
Excellent, though it could be better if it didn t require prepaying all the amount of booking in advance. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo OK location, hotel not a palace but for £15 quid a night inc breakfast who cares! There is a large building site outside the hotel so don t expect a late rise! |
Excellent |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Warm friendly greeting for our late night arrival. Nothing flash, but good value for money for mid range accommodation. Clean room and excellent breakfast. Good location, easy walk to Khao San Rd. |
No problem |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Poor service when trying to change of room due to the incredible noise of the street at 03:00 a.m. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Very nice hotel. The place was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Was a little difficult to find but got there in the end. Also just walking distance to Kao San Road but far enough away not to be bothered by any noise. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo The place was dark at night and the smell from the canal beside was not good but we recieved a warmly welcome from the doorway to the room. Room was good, quite clean and large enough for such that price though there was no great view from a small balcony. We were luckly when they arranged for 4 of us two connecting rooms with 1 double and 1 twin, with quite new facilities in room. Not many choices at buffet breakfast but it was ok. I especially like the restaurant, bright and warm in the morning, with a small cafeteria outside. I noticed that the hotel tried to put many trees around to hide the bad look of the canal, which made the pathway beside more lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped me book for the tour even it was late at midnight and the tourdesk was closed (there s a travel agency in front of the hotel). Next day, they kindly kept for me the camera battery I forgot in room after checked out. No more service charge. I accidently met the hotel s manager when came back to take luggage. He was a good and kind man at the first look. He asked where we re come from and where we going to go with a smile on his face. I guest he must be someone important and after all he said he s the manager. I ll stay here again. |
Very good service and quick confirmation. Thanks to Ms. Grace who helped me a lot. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo we had some horrible experience whereby my room mate is bitten by some insert from the bed, so be careful is u r allergy to insert bite. Overall The hotel is nice |
booking service is fast and fantastic. |

New World City Hotel (former New World L, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo It was a nice hotel. The room was clean and the service was decent except when I asked for a towel to take a shower before checkout. That was unfortunate but everything else, the securing of a Mueythai game ticket and taxies was helpful and convenient and it was a good experience. |

New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo lovely hotel in a nice quiet thai neighbourhood. Only a 5 in walk to Khao San Road and all the pollution. Not a party hotel but its clean. Staff are very friendly and theres a really nice restaurant down the road (the one with the pation furniture on the road), doesn t look like much from outside but food is great and CHEAP!! |
good |
| Kevin Kenkel 2008-03-31 until 2008-04-01 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Decent hotel in a good location. Very clean rooms, but the screened bathroom window is permanently open and some bad smells and smoke come in occasionally. Woke up coughing to what smelled like burning tires one night. Breakfast was in a pleasant sun room, but the food was pretty awful. Service is great and the staff at the desk is super. Lunch and dinner menu is double what you would pay anyplace else and we were served warm smoothies on a hot day at the Bakery adjacent to the breakfast room. The Bakery barman was rude and greeted us with a stern NO BEER as we sat down for lunch after a long, hot bus ride from the countryside. No welcome, may I help you, nothing. He glared at us the entire time we ate. Never encountered another person in Thailand or Cambodia who was rude like this. Guy needs to work on his people skills. |
Very easy to book online, however the secondary confirmation e-mail was sent after we were already in country and missed it. Could have been sent out a bit sooner. |

New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo nach vier schönen wochen in thailand kamen wir zurück nach bangkok und verbrachten die letzten 2 nächte im new world lodge hotel: reserviertes zimmer war nicht mehr frei - upgrade: 600 baht. um 21.30 wollte uns in restaurant das bis 22.00 geöffnet ist niemand mehr bedienen! das möbilar in den zimmern ist uralt die polster dreckig und noch älter als die einrichtung. nach dem zweiten wechsel hatten wir endlich ein zimmer ohne BETTWANZEN!!!! nebenan vergnügte man sich lautstark mit prostituierten und unzurechnungsfähige, stockbesoffene individuen traf man nachts in den gängen! new world lodge: never again!! |

New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Will never stay in this hotel again if I were to return to BKK. A basic hotel with minimum facilities. The room was not to my expectation compare to the price I paid. very small bathroom with metal holder sticked on the wall which caused me hurt my arms, not very smart to put this thing in the bathroom. Food in buffet line for breakfast was sucks, no taste at all. even when I ordered for A-La-Carte it was the same. The prawn not really fresh for my tom yam gong. on the second meal I ordered oxtail soup but same dissapointment i had. the soup was sucks |
i have no problem with my booking both at Royal Lana Hotel, Chiang Mai & New World Lodge Hotel, BKK. I managed to check in without any problem. Thanks sawadee.com & i will using your service agian in future. I like the way you take care your customer, on the day of my check in I received an SMS welcoming me to the hotel. I like that |
| MARCOS CLAUDIO BARNATAN 2008-01-21 until 2008-01-25 |
Buen servicio, nada fallo. |
| Marjatta Ollila 2008-01-15 until 2008-01-21 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Helpful staff. Clean. Breakfast was also OK. 10min walk to Khaosan Road and to the river. |
Everything worked out fine. |
| Pia Prutscher 2007-12-26 until 2007-12-28 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Hotel is good value for your money. Good location (walking distance to Khao San Rd), rooms clean, staff friendly, breakfast is ok. Ideal hotel for a couple of days in Bangkok. |
|
| Mr. Bernhard Kieck 2007-12-20 until 2007-12-24 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo The hotel is set in an alley off the main road. Rooms are a little dated but it offers good value for money. It is also close to the Chao Praya river where one can travel by river taxi. Breakfast is served buffet-style. The hotel made me think of a block of old flats but if it is only a decent, clean room for the night you re after this would do. |
Excellent |
| Brian Goodell 2007-12-19 until 2008-01-07 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo A well oiled machine. Good for 2 or 3 days but longer and the neighbourhood gets old very fast. When I checked in the bathroom light was out. I had to ask 3 times before it was fixed. This place had seen better days but they work hard to keep it going. Breakfast buffet ok but lunch /dinner a little overpriced. Better locations exist just north of Kao San road. |
|
| Carina Carlsson 2007-12-18 until 2007-12-20 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Nice hotel with only 10 minutes walk to Khoasan Road. Good service, clean room with soft bed. Stayed in Delux room. Internet service and travel agency at hotel. Breakfast buffet is OK, but I would be glad if they also could serve fried bacon. If I visit Bangkok again I will stay at this hotel. |
Very good. |
| Anne Hyvén 2007-12-15 until 2007-12-17 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Hotellin sijainti banglampoon keskeisyydessä hyvä asia. Riittävän kaukauna / lähellä khao san roadista, mutta muut halvat ja mielenkiintoiset paikat lähellä, samoin temppelialueet. Henkilökunta ystävllistä. Huoneet nuhjuiset ja vuodevaatteet nuhjaiset. Aamiainen hyvä. Nopea tsekkaus viereisiin hotelleihin rankkasi paikan turhan kalliiksi puolella hintaa pääsee naapurikorttelissa majoittumaan mukavammin. Esim. new orchid tai diamons house (nimet ovat tod. näk. sinnepäin..)Sopii enismmäisen yön paikaksi ja seuraaviksi kannattaa hakeutua naapurihotliin. |

New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo The hotel is fine & i ve stayed there before. Five minutes to Khao San but removed from the hub-hub. Clean, quiet & friendly, and safe to move about. I particularly liked the new (since my last stay) glass atrium - a pleasant place for their yummy breakfasts. |
Faultless! |

New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Hotel was nice enough and close to the KhaoSan road. Great staff, internet expensive but no real complaints. My brother liked it too. |
Good, but make sure you correctly indicated the # of people in a room. We didn t do so and got charged 300 bhat extra even though the room we booked for two people was the same price. Very silly. |
| Sabrina Schnetzke / Turgay Coruh 2007-11-14 until 2007-11-16 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Was ok, but don t expect too much. It was clean, which is most important. Despite our wish to get a room in the 4th or 5th floor which is renewd, we did get one which was not |
ok |
| Celes 2007-10-07 until 2007-10-09 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo it s a good budget hotel. the location is good, near Khaosan Road and Grand Palace. it only takes 50 minutes from the airport at cost of about 600 Baht including toll fee. But, there are small cockroaches in the room. |
satisfied |
| Ireneo Martin 2007-09-17 until 2007-09-20 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Clean room and excellent breakfast. Friendly staff but a little bit far from the inner city for shopping. |
Great booking service. Highly recommended. |
| Marcy Schreiber 2007-08-22 until 2007-08-24 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Overall, everything was fine. My only problem was the super loud refridgerator that would wake me up in the middle of the nite! |
wouldn t use any other service! tried to use kayak.com and was NOT nearly as effiecient as sawadee!! |
| Janet Li 2007-08-22 until 2007-08-24 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Service was great. The receptionists were very friendly and very helpful. The room was big, and though the bed cover had stains, the bed sheets were still clean. At a very convenient location to take a cheap river taxi down to the Grand Palace. The shower had decent water pressure (a hard thing to find). Breakfast is good too. |
Good. |
| STEFANO 2007-08-15 until 2007-08-18 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Good service but dirty rooms hairs in the bed!! ITALIANI: il servizi sono accettabili, la pulizia delle camere lascia a desiderare... ho trovato parecchi capelli e peli nel letto. |
Very good service! |
| Karel Hutter 2007-08-08 until 2007-08-09 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Nice clean hotel. A UK 3star hotel. 10mins walk to the koh san road. Rooms are spacious and about what you can expect for the price you pay. |
No problems. All worked fine |
| Moniek De Boer 2007-08-04 until 2007-08-06 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo I stayed in this hotel with my children for 8 nights during 3 visits to Bangkok in one month. Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet very complete with food for every taste, incl. kids. Unfortunately there is no fresh orange juice, but we just bought some on Samsen road (nog salt, no suger added. Rooms quite comfortable for the price. There is a kettle to make hot water for tea or coffee!!, fridge and tv. Bathroom adequate. One cockroach, many mosquito´s because of the Klong nearby. We liked the neighbourhood, because it is not so touristy, still near enough Kao San etc. with easy access to the major sights and the river taxi´s, cheap and nice Thai food and laundry service in surrounding streets, ATM around the corner, cheap internet just across the street, a very nice Tanghuaseng department store just a little further on Samsen Rd, look for the big T on the building. And the final tough: the Qiblat arrow on the ceiling and times for muslim prayer next to elevator. I have stayed in a couple of other hotels in Bangkok, more fancy, but this one is my favourite by far. |
Booking through Sawasdee (internet) is a lot cheaper than booking by yourself. Great service (I made a mistake and they really helped out very intelligently. |
| Elizabeth Salamy 2007-08-02 until 2007-08-06 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo The hotel was in a very good location. A 8 minute walk to koh san road. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very good for the price we paid, with air conditioner and hot water, spacious and clean. We received 2 complimentary bottles of water each day. The buffet breakfast had a large selection of food to suit all tastes. |
Very good, helpful and easy to book. Always received response within 24 hours. |
| Fallows 2007-07-04 until 2007-07-07 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo On arrival I found the reception staff excellent, the hotel porter assisted me with my bags to my room, the room apart from needing a lick of paint was clean and the triple size bed was great for a single occupant. Maid service was good as was tour booking in foyer. My only critism only a few TV channels,I think two in English & BBC World news didn t function properly. Would definately stay there again- took their card in case I did |
Great no problem booking service |
| David Stevenson 2007-07-02 until 2007-07-03 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo First impressions werent good - met our first cockroaches in two weeks of travelling in Thailand. Otherwise the hotel seemed reasonable value for money, the staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was good. It is obviously a very popular hotel with backpackers, being five minutes walk from Khao San Rd. |
good |
| Terry Vallence 2007-06-14 until 2007-06-16 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo stayed 2 days and a week later another 2 days.first room had a leak in the bathroom and staff changed our room straight away.staff excellent, friendly and helpful.room was fine, overlooking canal, with little galoks(thai squirrels)running through the trees.5 minutes walk to khaosan rd.excellent air conditioning.bed was a bit firm, but they all are in thailand.this hotel is in the real bangkok.if you want 5 star luxury, go stay at the oriental and PAY! for the price here, the new world is fine.oh, the breakfast is good too! |
|
| Souvik Mandal 2007-05-31 until 2007-06-02 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo Hotel rooms are very ordinary, quite contrary to the pictures shown. The canal is actually carrying city sewage and thus stinky. Travel desk nice. Buffet BF very nice. |
Promt and very reliable. Certainly the best choice. |
| Soraya Martinez 2007-05-18 until 2007-05-22 |
New World Lodge Hotel, Khaosan Road area, Banglampoo not as good value for money as hotels for same price in Cambodia or Vietnam. Would be nice if Sawasdee had half day rates as hotel rate is almost same as daily room rate. Good breakfast, good location |
very efficient and fast I would return to Sawasdee for booking other hotels in Thailand |
