Bangkok City Inn, Rajdamri Road, near CWP
Stayed in deluxe room on the 8th floor (top floor), which comes with free dinner (an ala carte meal from menu). Room condition was okay except for the unpleasant sewage stench which lasted throughout day and night (I guess it s from the aircon). Hotel location is good (near main shopping street) but the taxi driver had difficulty finding it even with the map provided by the hotel (but eventually he managed to locate it). Overall I would probably not recommend the hotel.

Very good. All my questions were replied immediately.

Hotel is excellent !!! would definitely stay there again.. Not four seasons, and not the Ibis group.. but in terms of location, rooms, and staff are great... Breakfast is standard, but they have great fruits every morning... Last thing to say about Bangkok City Inn.. If you re expecting good location, and decent sleep, but not luxury.. stay in Bangkok City Inn.. it will accomodate what you want!

as usual.. FAST, and TRUSTWORTHY !!

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is acceptable if you only want to fill your tummy. There isn t much variety but it is tasty though for a budget hotel. Room is of acceptable size but bed is a bit stiff after a long day of shopping. Airport transfer is available at the lobby and the rate is 400baht which is cheaper than from airport out to city(600baht). Location is 10min walk from Pratunam Center and opp Central World which is good. Nearest BTS is Chidlom(10min walk) Overall a pleasant experience and will be back again for budget trips in fuure.

Efficient and gives me a sense of confidence to book via online.

Location of hotel is very convenient to reach out to shopping areas and close to public bus stops and trains. Staff very professional and go out of their way to please in spite of being a 3-Star hotel. Room service is very good. Will recommend anyone to stay here.

Excellent website. Grateful to them for allowing us more time to confirm booking because of political situations. Will recommend to anyone.

good for the price. 3rd or 4th time we stayed. Very hard to find if you dont know where it is, like the taxi drivers often dont, and located in a area of private one way roads. say behind Big C near world trade and you will be close. room not very clean and needing a repaint by our standards, breakfast a bit limited in choice, but still value for money. Staff very good and helpful, mind luggage for late departures.

worked well no problems

This is the fourth time I visit this hotel. I always book it when want to be close to all major shopping areas. Not very fancy but have good and clean rooms and a decent breakfast for the price. Perfect for my needs. I will go there again next time.

This hotel should not post in recommended list. When I arrived at 9pm want to have dinner nearby. But bellboy told me that restautant closed at 9pm. He call a taxi take 2 of us to his recommended restautrant which not far away. We have a plate of middle size bbq prawn & a steam crab. 2 plain rice & a bottle of Singha beer. when bill come it cost me 7000 Baht. Somemore this hotel never provide tooth brush. Carpet is dirty & smelly. Front desk receptionist are not friendly.

The hotel is very well situated in the heart of Bangkok downtown area.It s also very easy to move around on foot to nearby attractions/shopping areas. U can also find very good food around the area too. I enjoy my stay there will definately return when i visit Bangkok again.

Booking service was very efficient and staffs are very friendly and helpful. :)

The rooms were not bad, clean and comfortable, the shower was a bit iffy in the sense the hot water goes to extreme temperatures sometimes, from scalding to hot etc. Breakfast was bland, but passable, the items on the room service menu tasted pretty good though. Other than that, the staff there are polite and eager to help, except the language barrier can sometimes be a pain when trying to get a point across in a hurry or short for time. Otherwise, great hotel for the money and the location.

Very fast, very prompt, great service.

This hotel is not my first choice since positive comments from review are only 8 out of 10. But since the first choice is fully booked, I booked this one because of the budget. The location of hotel is in the heart of city, and it takes 10 mins walk to nearest BTS (Chit Lom). Taxi drivers often find difficulty in looking for its location since it is at the back of busy streets. You may need to take a name card in the reception which has address in thai and a map for driving direction. The staff at reception can understand and speak English. They are helpful and polite. Apart from providing us information upon our queries, we are given a room when we checked in at 10:00am. My husband and I have stayed in a deluxe twin bedroom on the 7th floor for 3 nights. The room is clean and tidy. We found everything OK except the temperature of water for shower is not steady. We need to turn the temperature a bit down so that the maximum temperature during the fluctuation will not cause scald. We have not encountered the negative comments mentioned in other s review of this hotel (like noisy air conditioning, faulty flushing system of toilet, or having any cockroaches). There is a small fridge with a mini bar and the price is reasonable. The bottles of water are complementary but there is no coffee or tea. Breakfast is in buffet type and it is OK as there are thai and western styles. But thai style has more varieties than western style (only toast, egg, cereal, salad, sausage, orange/ pineapple juice, tea and coffee for western style). It is value for money for a 2 star hotel in 1400Bt/night for a deluxe twin bed room.

efficient, takes less than an hour to have replies.

I ve always stayed in this hotel whenever I travelled to Bangkok. This hotel is value for money in terms of locality : walking distance to Erawan 4-Face God, Central World, Big-C, Siam Paragon, Platinum and Pratunam shopping belt. Though it s only a 2-3 stars hotel, they provided clean room and breakfast.

The booking is great; response is fast. Something to note : We only pay the deposit during the initial booking, it ll be good if you could send out reminder to pay the remaining balance before the due date. I almost forget to pay the balance. Another thing : I m not sure if the hotel staff took note of my requirement for the room; ie I asked for a queen/king size bed for the 2 rooms. We got only 1 room (instead of 2) with king-sized bed and had to wait till the next day to switch to a room with king/queen sized bed for the other. Overall the experience has been pleasant.

Bangkok City Inn is a nice, clean hotel with very friendly F/O staff. Recognizing me as a repeat guest was great (I stay here 1-2 times every month)!! Location is excellent, very close to my favorite mall, Central World and also to shopping districts with special mention to reasonable but great massage areas in pratunam district. Though staying at a prime location, one would manage to sleep and rest well as it is a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of Rajadamri road s cars, buses and motorcycles. I have been an avid fan of this hotel for the type of service and price as I always wanted to get the best of my money s worth. I would definitely recommmend this hotel to those who want to visit bangkok. The best so far for its price and quality of service.

Always efficient. I am already known to their staff as I have been booking almost 2-4x/month since I just stay in thailand. I have chosen to book with sawasdee since my first time in here in 2006 and never regretted a time I transacted with them. Good service!! keep up the good work. khap khun mak mak na khrap! Chok dee khrap!

Hotel is centrally located in Pratunam, very near to BIG C & Pantip plaza.Hotel is not guest freindly they make you pay extra fro bringing in guest even for a short period that is 30 mins.So would not recommend this hotel for singles and no good places to pick women around only annoying tuk tuk (Autoricksaw)wanting to take u to massage parlours around.all around hotel location is great to stay with a family.Breakfast is Ok.Dont expect too much.

Booking was smooth sailing no issues encountered.

I am a returning guest and I should say I have a very pleasant stay at BCI. The hotel is so near Patunam Centre and the Big C. Foodstall are within walking distance. Lots of massage and foot reflexogy shop are within reach to soothe your tired leg. On the day I checked in the shower tap was not functioning properly but after one call their technician came and had it fixed within 15 mins. The hotel reception staff are very courteous and friendly. As I was on an early 7.20am flight and have to checkout at 6 am, I requested to have my breakfast much earlier before their usual opening time which they promptly provided. I will definitely return to this hotel if I have another trip to BKK next year.

Good and prompt service that why I booked through Sawadee.com again.

A neat place just off the big rajdamri road(rather quiet) with many shopping malls as well hundreds of stalls and small shops. the sidewalks can be very crowded with people, so one cannot walk in haste. staff was efficient and friendly, breakfast adequate. room was nice but sound coming from next door toilet flush was quite annoying.within walking distance to skytrain station. value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Nice rooms, lovely and helpful staff, but the breakfast could have been better! Very good location with walkingdistance to good shopping - Big C, Platinum, Pratunam and more. Staff at reception was courteous and polite. Not all hotel staff spoke English but between themselves they managed very well. Room was clean, provided with fresh towels, sheets and bathroom was adequate. Mattress was firm/hard, could be better. The mini bar was well stocked but prices were double then market value. Complimentary breakfast had variety. Hotel location was walking distance from shopping area. Overall the hotel is good value for money and service satifactory.

nice and pleasant tourist class. very affordable. no frills but acceptable and clean rooms. there are a few massage places just close by too if you are into it. lots of good cheap local food and right smack in the shopping areas. an excellent choice, but finding it the first time might be a little tricky. don t rely on the maps they give you on the internet, they are way off scale.

We stayed in a deluxe room one night. For the money, it was great with a good bed and a few english channels. The room smelled very strongly upon entering but it didn t last long once you were in the room. The breakfast was good. The location was fine but taxis have a hard time finding it. From the airport was great but take a card with you to show the driver after that. WE wanted to stay another night but they were booked so we checked into the Bangkok Inn that was not nearly as nice and almost the same amount of money. The massage place next to the Bangkok Inn is great though and very popular.

So easy and perfect. It s great to not have to pay for hotels once you are there.

Not Very Impressed, looks nice when you arrive, clean reception area, shame our room was so grubby, the ceiling was supposed to be white but it was covered in black mould, the carpet in the suit was dirty. Also tried ordering room service, they could not understand English so I went down to the resturant to get it myself, and they insisted on charging me room service even though I had to get it myself. I Will Not Be Back

Hotel was alright given the rate paid as we don t expect 4 star service but at least a complain is about the staff who doesn t seem to provide adequate simple service, like asking for simple hot water every day from their coffeeshop --as I was travelling with 3 children--, not forgetting that I only found 1 or 2 staff among the whoe crew that could speak some decent English... Perhaps Thai Hotels shld look seriously into improving their HR skills such as simple foreign language. I travel to many countries in the region but at least in other neighboring countries, one could find local staff speaking some decent English but not quite in Thailand, even in 4 or 5 stars hotels...

Good n efficient

Thanks for the opportunity to make my comments. I stayed 4 nights at this convenient location, right in the City, next to Big C and opposite the World Trade Center. The adventurers can even take a river taxi, literally a stones throw away, only do it off peak times. The receptionist were not very friendly, did not see the smiles I was so accustomed to in other Hotels I stayed in BKK. Did not realise I could not smoke in the Lobby and was guided unceremonsly to the door. Signs was not put up. Only no smoking signs in the restaurant. My flight was at 6pm. Check-out time is as in most Hotels 12 noon. I asked for an extension to 2 pm and after debate was given 1/2 hr. grace. Normally the reception will check the Bookings and if not busy will agree. No compromise and no offer of , say, we can look after your bags till you are ready to depart. Somehow I feel the Reception needs training and does not give me the impression that they are doing me a favour by allowing me to stay in BKK City INN. Breakfast well below par. Locality I emphasise is real good, but The Land of Smiles is not there. Yes, , they do not have Tourist maps. I cannot understand this. The Thai Tourism is so generous with these maps at other hotels. Reg. Norman WEE stayed 26th. to 30 th. Aug 04

Excellent, and very good follow-up. Fast replies to me, and so accomodating and patient. I made many changers to my stay, but accepted graciously by the replies to me.
