Roger Clinton Garrick 2009-05-26	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 The hotel staff were welcoming and professional. Buffet breakfast had ample choice from western to eastern food. The security are diligent. The hotel is well situated in a vibrant part of the city and is close to the skytrain. The main wing room was a little small but more importantly clean. I would recommend a short stay at the hotel	Sawadee were quick and efficient- as always
Peter Keenan 2009-04-14	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 Stay was pleasant enough. Rooms are tired and need upgrading. Cheaper rooms are available nearby with better facilities, for instance the Grande Business Inn which gives free internet as well. No internet at Ambassador, for the price, that s disappointing, but the room was big and comfortable. The staff were nice, exception being one of them asking for a tip to take us to the pool. Overall I would reccommend it, if you want a pool and gym. If you don t, then go down the road to the Grand Business Inn.	Great, as usual. Have used them at least 5 times and never a problem. Keep up the good work guys.

AJAY GOPI NAIR 2009-01-24	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 Hotel is quiet huge and the rooms in the tower wing are excellent. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of both veg and non veg. Beware of the hotel staff arranging private taxi s. They have some connection with the Taxi guys and tries to get the maximum from you. Location is good since all the shopping activites are close by. Nana station is walking distance.	Excellent. No issues
Janet jones 2009-01-18	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 We stayed twice at The Ambassador on the 28/12/08 and 16/01/09. Stayed in a privilage room both times. The rooms were perfect. Our friends were upgraded to be with us at no extra cost. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and good. We have stayed at The Ambassador for the past 5 years at this time of year and we have always been happy	More than helpful. I had to text the reservation centre to say that I could not get to a computer so our confirmation was extended for 2 days. thanks Sawadee

Ivan J Mathias 2008-10-20	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 I have stayed at Ambassador on 28 visits. Breakfast is excellent. Location is perfect-close to station and in the midst of hectic Bangkok. The hotel is being renovated making it more comfortable. The new staff are much more polite and efficient. The old staff were surly.Prices have been raised for all food items. Quality and quantity is down.	Excellent and highly recomended. When I had some difficulties due to the political demonstrations they responded well.

Taina Piippola 2008-07-22 until 2008-07-24	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 Be aware of the fact that the standard rooms and suits in the main wing are a part of the really old, smelly, tower that is being renovated (they say). The pictures look ok, but really, the rooms are awful and reminds you of some of the cheap, taggy middle class hotels you can find in the middle east.The bathrooms were dirty and bath tub full of rusty spots, the room damp and ugly- totally depressive! We immediately changed the rooms to the tower wing superior ones, which were fine but somewhat more expensive. I think the homepage should inform people about this fact!	worked out very well!
E H 2008-06-29 until 2008-07-04	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 However the hotel was under renovation, we did not feel this was an inconvenience. The hotel room was bit old but it did the job. All the staff were very friendly and I can certainly recommend to have a treatment at the Spa in the hotel. There are various places to eat within the hotel although I would recommend to explore cheaper local Thai food places. There was plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet. Also it was very closely situated to the Sky rail and it had a decent nightclub in the basement. The only down side we thought was that it was situated in the more seedy part of sukhumvit but all by all a pretty good experience!!!	Pretty straight forward

The picture of the hotel is also not the part of the hotel we stayed in. Rooms were obviously in old part of hotel and roof missing off bathroom, bedclothes were all stained and dirty undersheet. we had dinner in the restaurant, pizza was obviously bought in shop, there was nobody in the restaurant when we got there, we soon discovered why. There are plenty of hotels in Bangkok to choose from, dont stay here.	Booking service was good, although you should check that the pictures the hotel sends through are actually pictures of the rooms in hotels.

Paul & Thitasiri Hughes 2008-05-06 until 2008-05-10	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 ive stayed at the ambasador lots of times over the last ten years, but it is slipping in both cleanliness and clientelle. there were bugs in the room and i was bitten most nights even after the maid sprayed. At breakfast you had to nail your plate down ,if you got up for a cup of tea refill an ignorant family of curtain draped women and children with eye slits in their headgear would steal your table and move your half eaten steeming plate.I saw it happen to at least 2 tables every day..And noisey !! im sure they are all deaf (maybe its the shelling??)they talk at 100dB.sorry squalk!! I doubt very much that i will stay there again.	sawadee are very good but they should take Ambasador off the menu,its an embarrasment.

Rest of hotel pretty old but undergoing refurb. Staff polite but not very friendly. Breakfast was poor - just so busy - people everywhere. Always running out of things, food was cold as was tea and coffee, noisy environment. Hard to find a table.
Gene W. 2008-04-26 until 2008-04-27	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 I have stayed in The Ambassador several times in the past including April 2007. This visit, we arrived at 4:30 pm and was told by the desk staff that our room wasn t ready. This year, it seems the clientele has changed dramatically over 2007 and now appears to be predominantly west asian. The staff seems disinterested bordering on rude. Our Tower Wing room was clean and newly remodeled but strongly stank of durian. The location is great, which is why I have enjoyed staying here in the past but the room rates have increased dramatically while the service and clientele deteriorated. I will not be staying here in the future as there are many better choices in the immediate area	I have used Sawadee several times over the last several years and it has always been reliable. I consider it my go to website for hotel bookings while traveling in Thailand.
Paul & Thitasiri Hughes 2008-04-17 until 2008-04-20	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 a bit of a mess at the moment, but they are making the best of extensive refurb, we had to ask for a room change because ours stank of stale cigars, it is long overdue but hopefully it will be better after the refurb, staff as usual are good at their hard job.	as normal,good and quick.

The Danish booking agent actually have an office in the lobby. I have stayed at Ambassador ones before and can recomment the hotel. I am however very dissapointed about my room being on top of a night club which gave two night of bad sleep but I accepted to stay in that room anyway. Anything else was at good as it can get.	Perfect until the last detail. I will use this booking agent again.

Breakfast was very good and the location also. The room very small, hard pillows, old TV with hardly any English channels etc... staffs ok, but every time I cam home at night they tried to charge me 1000 Bat for bringing my wife to the room with me. Hated that- not every Asian Girl is a prostitue and not every white Guy in BKK looking for one!!!	was ok- choose good places, got told full and then sawadee recomended some more expensive but crapier ones... not too happy about that

However it is priced well and well located if you like staying in Sukhumvit. you seem to bump into the very crowd that you tried to avoid back home! No fault of the hotel though! Breakfast is very good and lavish . The staff are friendly and understand english. Good value for money hotel overall	Very prompt

Kjell Skogsholm 2008-03-15 until 2008-03-18	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 Sorry Ambassador, but this is not good enough.Even though the improvements of the rooms have made them much lighter than before, it does not help when the rooms do not work.The bathroom for instance is a mess after you have taken a shower as there are no shower curtains. You are stuck with a wet floor for the rest of your stay especially as the drain in the other end of the room is not working. We had a privilege room in the Tower Wing, but I must say it was no privilege staying there. For the price we payed I know of several hotels in the area which are much better.On top of it all, at check out, they wanted us to pay for a pair of slippers , which in the first place never were in the room. So my advice is to take inventory when moving in, or best of all, stay away from Ambassador !	Very good as always.

Mr James Pursey 2008-03-07 until 2008-03-10	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 This hotel, albeit in a good location for entertainment zones and easy access to the new airport is in serious need of refurbishment. The hotel lobby is looking jaded and the breakfast, while plentiful was of a unsatisfactory standard. If you like staying in modern comfortable hotels then this is not for you. If you want just a couple of nights to check out Bangkok then it will suit you fine.	OK.

We are a family with 2 children. The hotel has a good location close til the skytrain. Very close to Nana BTS station and in a busy area of Sikhumvit with lots of stalls, bars and restaurants round about. Bad: Room was not great for the price. The bathroom was very outdated and smelt. If you are not fussy about room quality and value for money and really just want somewhere to stay while you get out and about it s fine. I m sure there are better places though for the price.	No problems as usual

Hotel was just OK, no cable or dish You can just watch regular 4/5 chanels, no pay perview movies or show Bath tub was not clean, hot water leaking/dripping all night long.	no camments

This did not however detour from a very high level of service. The hotel is agressively staffed and everyone is very helpful and polite. The room offered for this trip was old but very clean making this the bargin of the journey. I would definately revisit this hotel on a future trip to Bangkok as the location is perfect to Sukumvitt road and all of the fun in the area.	The booking for this room through the website was very good. Everything worked out as planned and everything was as promised. Cannot ask for much more!
Domokos Szini 2008-01-26 until 2008-01-28	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 We stayed for 2 days in the old wing. We were early arrivals, the rooms were not ready yet - however we had the chance to spend an hour at the poolside. The pool is very nice with a good, but little overpriced bar. The rooms in the old wing were smelly - no real non-smoking rooms, however it was clean and good for a sleep. The whole hotel is nice with good facilities. The old wing needs a serious renovation. Breakfast is very generous. Plenty of food, good selection, satisfactory for all. I would return again, but rather in the new wing.	everything alright

The room was clean and good standard. The staff was friendly anf helpative. Nice restaurants and stores in the hotel. I can really recommend this hotel.	Perfect as always. Booked and paid on the internet 1 day ahead. No problem at arrival what som ever.

Recently they have upgraded their rooms & bathrooms, so it is now even more value for money. This time, I lost my credit cards in a Bangkok taxi (my fault!), and full credit to the hotel staff, who were most helpful in helping us to cancel our cards, and lodging a formal police complaint - really, one can t praise them enough. There s also a very good tailor at the shopping complex within Ambassador - called Merit Tailors - who do the most perfect suits for you inside 48 hours, so that s an added bonus.	Just perfect - as always!

Hotel amenities are of high standard, the free breakfast was excellent, however, the juices / drinks were short felled at times. Would highly recommend. We found the hotel to be excellent value for money,!!!! WILL STAY AGAIN.	Sawasdee is always reliable and prompt on replies. They reconfirmed our transfers and answered all my questions promptly. In my opinion, every traveler visiting Thailand should get reservations through Sawasdee.

Close to skytrain station, but walking to Rajaprasong area is possible. Some foreign tourists will like the nightlife on Soi Nana, but I was less than delighted with the clutter, touts, etc. Also, there were no regular Thai restaurants nearby, just Indian and other foreign. This kind of upscale hotel deserves a better location.	No problems.

KEMNITZ Holger 2007-09-05 until 2007-09-07	Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road, Soi 11-13 I stayed at the Ambassador a few times before, but for shure never again after my last try. I booked a quiet non smoking room and was offerd the exact opposite. The room was old, stank of old cigar smoke and was not clean at all. As I asked for another room, the staff at the reception could not understand why. So I had my driver talk to them, he is a thai national. I told them, that I will go to a meeting now and come back later. After I was away for almost 4 hours, they had not found another room by then. That made me leave straight away, I even had a discussion to get my credit card receipt back for the deposit I made when I came. The main wing rooms should not be offerd anymore unless they get a complete makeover.	Top service, nothing to complain, always friendly and helpfull.

The rooms in the main wing could really do with som painting and updating. I was affraid the door to the bathroom would break off! The room need to be redecorated since it was outdaeted (we were staying in the main wing on the higher level) but the cleaness is OK. The swimming pool made me a bite disappointed, most of the pool was 3 metre deep, and I m not a good swimmer, I can t enjoy it. The best part for the hotel was the service, the people there were great, they were very helpful efficient. The breakfast was wonderful, full of variety and fresh as well. The transportation and the location were great. Just take few minutes walk from the Nana station (the BTS) Thank you!	Thanks! efficient and helpful!
