Phangan Buri Resort is located on Had Rin Nai, the quiet and serene sunset beach on the southern side of Had Rin town; where all the action is just five minutes walk away at the infamous party beach Had Rin Nok, yet far enough from the resort to ensure you get a good nights sleep!

Phangan Buri has recently been refurbished and is finished to excellent standards; with a beachfront swimming pool, fully landscaped tropical gardens and an amazing sunset view. All of our buildings are either new or have been completely renovated to ensure that your stay here is as comfortable as possible.
Our superior and deluxe rooms are all newly built and also come with hot water and air conditioning as standard. They are bigger bungalows than the standard style and the deluxe rooms have a more luxurious feel with special attention to detail, beachfront location and minibar. We also have a honeymoon suite for newlyweds and those who really want to relax in style.






The beach at Had Rin Nai (west) is one of three white sand beaches that lie on the west coast of the Had Rin peninsula. Here the occasional mangrove populates the coastline and the beaches take on a dreamy deserted feel, perfect for secluded sunbathing and sunset strolls.

Tall coconut palms lean into the tranquil bay that is protected by a live coral reef; here divers and smokeless can find a wonderful variety of sea life and mesmerizing corals, whilst sun worshipers can find solitude and peace away from the crowds at Had Rin.

Had Rin Nai is far quieter than its counter part, with no clubs, a few chilled beach bars and plenty of great places to eat. It is also in an excellent position to explore the other beaches on the Had Rin Peninsula; with the long bays of Ao Bangson, Ao Hin-Lor and Had Seekantang all on the sunset west coast; and of course Had Rin Nok - the Mecca for sunbathers, beach-sports and nightclubs just five minutes walk away on the east coast.









There are three different types of immaculately clean bungalow with a range of sleeping options to suit most requirements. All of our older style bungalows have been refurbished to include air-con and hot water and are available for very reasonable prices.

About the hotel:
Well situated on the quieter Sunset Beach but easy access to the busy town and sunrise beach. The whole resort was clean and well appointed which gives a 5 star feel to the resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice Hotel would visit there again. Everything clean and staff very friendly. Nice food. Nice pools. Close to Full moon parties but far away enough to get some sleep.

We stayed here for three nights - our second stay at this hotel following a trip three years earlier. From what we ve seen it is definitely one of the better resorts in Haad Rin - the staff are good, the pool is clean, and most importantly the location is excellent!! On the good side the two pools are lovely - one is located centrally in the hotel and is very quiet - the other is directly on to the beach and has a very good pool bar including a towel service. It is also an amazing place to view SUNSET, which is spectacular!! Our allocated room was on the ground floor, but as mosquitoes love me, we asked for an upper floor and were accommodated without any hassle. The tourist desk also offers a moped hire service and for 200 baht per day (about £4) the bike we hired was in perfect condition and was brilliant for travelling around the island - but be VERY careful - the roads aren t great (bit s missing, big hills getting out from Haad Rin to Thong Sala) and further north east are basically clay, but if you know what you are doing a great way to get around. On the negative, the resort appears to have nothing done in the last three years - I d describe it as a posh way of roughing it - the rooms are good in size, but could do with a bit of a freshen up and the sunloungers have definitely seen better days... Great if you want to party (close enough to walk to SUNRISE), but also far enough out that you ll get a decent nights sleep.

We stayed at Phanganburi in a Corner Suite for a week. All in all the rooms are overpriced. For the same price you will get a much nicer room on Samui. It is a typical 2-star resort. Our suite, room 3217, was ocean facing but had mostly tree-view. The room was ok, but the bathroom was not. Housekeeping was slow and not very good. There are two quit nice pools, but the sun bed mattresses were dreadful (200 years old and mouldy!). The beach had not the best sand and the seafloor is a bit muddy.

Most worthwhile just for the pool that overlooks the beach. I think the best resort by far in the Had Rin area. Beautiful deluxe cottages with everything you could possibly want except a bath tub. Staff are friendly, helpful and very polite. Very close to all the action but far enough away to escape. Highly recommend the Phanganburi!

I was disappointed, I have called in morning before to take my flight at Bangkok for the pick up in time at Koh Phangan, but they siad me when I arrive sorry sir we forgot ??? and when I arrived at hotel they asked to me how much I paid for to refund money but when I left they asked to me to pay the taxi and it not was hospitable I don t come back on this resort and I don t recommend it????

Good location to the full moon party beach and centre. Watching the sunset by the swimming pool is beautiful as it looks onto the sea. We stayed in a deluxe room which was spacious and clean. We had no problems with towels/sheets. Massage and other beauty treatments were good.The restaurant is really disappointing! The restaurant is the pool bar and for the price we were paying per night in Thailand we expected a little more. The food is not great and after one lunch we didn t venture back. Breakfast buffet is ok. However if going back to that area of the island we would stay here as it is nice and close to centre but away from the noise. Instead of going to Tong Sala to get the boat back to Koh Samui, there is a pier close to the hotel with boats that go also. The boats there are 5mins more in duration. Don t bother with a pick up service, there are plenty of taxis that you can take from tong sala. The pick up is overpriced.

Hotel grounds and pools were excellent, some of the staff especially the desk manager was very rude and unhelpful-you would expect fresh towels every day especially when it was the most expensive hotel we stayed in! Noi fresh towels 4days out of five, no water daily, internet in rooms did not work, no hairdryer and as it was monsoon season, when you need umbrellas-they were only in some rooms because some were broken !! All these were staed to be part of the stay here! When we asked for these things the desk manager said he would get them, but do you think we saw anything! NO! Beautiful hotel but needs to keep on track of how it is run!
