About the hotel:
Perfect location: directly on the beach, very private but walking distance to bars and restaurants in Sairee Village! We stayed in a Deluxe Pirate Cottage which was very nicely located at the pool. Staff was very poor!!! Service in the restaurant was not existant!! It s a pity, since the bar is located perfectly on the beach.... The beer was warm, fridge not working. So we got our drinks from neighbor hotel :-)) Also snorkel equipment and Longtail rental was cheaper next door.....

About the hotel:
The hotel is quaint and quirky, the rooms in need of renovation. However, the main problem was flies in the dining area - they were crawling on the food and the staff seemed unwilling to do anything to prevent this. The location was fantastic and the crew and staff of the Dive Centre were excellent. However, 500 Baht for some fruit, soft drinks or water and a lunch consisting of fried rice and noodles was outlandish. It was the poorest food we have ever experienced on a dive boat.

About the hotel:
for the price we paid, its brutally overcharged. the staff are not friendly. this hotel makes you feel like you are not in thailand at all. everything is run as if you are in germany. they are not flexible n not willing to even let you have one hour late check out. the breakfast for the amount i paid is really really bad. for this amount, we could stay in KL Hilton and have excellent service, room and breakfast. i will never go back to this hotel.

I must say this hotel is way to expensive for what you get. it is more a guest house than a resort. the pool is nice and the staf aswell but that is the only 2 nice things i can say about it. you can find much nicer resorts for less money.

About the hotel:
This hotel is on the best side of Koh Tao - right on Sairee Beach. Turn left by the swimming pool ad walk along to all of the beach bars - some party atmosphere and some a little more chilled. Staff were friendly, although their english wasn t so good! We had a deluxe pirate beachfront cottage which was right on the beach. The standard of accommadation is a little primitive and certianly not 4 or 5 star, but the room was clean (and cleaned every day) and towels replaced every day. Only had 3 beds around the pool, but we really came to this island to dive (and were not disappointed to see a 7m Whale Shark at Green Rock for our 60 minute dive!). Great location, just wish we would have stayed longer (we ll come back for at least a week next year!).

A very nice place with a great location. Only 10 minutes by Long tail boat to Nangyaun which is a great place to snorkel or diving. A very nice place, super beach and nice rooms.

The hotel was ok, but we find it to be a bit over-priced. During our stay in Thailand we stayed at 3 different resorts but even if this was the most expensive one, we find it to have the lowest standard. We stayed in a bungalow with 2 bedrooms close to the swimming pool. We joined a snorkling trip arranged by the diving group at the resort and this was very good. We can recommend it to everybody! It is also recommended to try the taxiboat. It was much cheaper to eat at Koh Tao compared to Koh Samui. We enjoid our stay but as said before, it was a little bit expensive. The resort was on a quiet part of the beach, and this was great.

Positive: Friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful and nice area. Nice bungalows but a little bit worn out. Bungalow cleaned every day. Good Thai food in restaurant. Breathtaking surroundings Negative: Bad timing in restaurant, do not like to get starter, main and desert at same time. But this is generall all over Thailand, i think!? The barbecue evening can not be recomended. Narrow beach, and not so clear water during our stay. Pool was occupied by divers (beginners in training). Cockroaches in bathroom, found two big fat ones! Overall: I can recomend this Resort! We enjoyed our stay. I can highly recomend to visit Nangyuna Island. About 10 minutes by Long tail. But go before 10 AM, in order to find the best spot on the beach in front of Japanese Garden. 200B p/p two way from the Resort, if i recall! And 100B p/p to visit the Island. Wonderfull beach, do not miss that! And bring your snorkel, diving-mask and bread to feed the fish!

The 9 Deluxe Pirate Cottages, covering 36 square meters each, have a superb view of the Sairee beach and are all set by the swimming pool side. Each offers king size double bed or twin beds in an air conditioned bedroom. :: Captains Suite ::
With a superb view of the Sairee beach, 3 beautiful chalets are available at our resort. Each covers 76 square meters and contains 2 bedrooms, and all chalets are set by the swimming pool side. Each air conditioned room is embellished with a polished coconut wood floor and Thai style bamboo ceilings. The master bedroom has a King-sized bed with separate bathroom, containing a bathtub and a hot water shower.

The second bedroom contains twin bed with a separate bathroom as well, also with a hot water shower. If that were not enough to appease the luxury-living customer, a balcony, wooden cooling fan, satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar, refrigerator, hair dryer, tea and coffee are all featured in the chalet.

Diving courses, dive packages including diving facilities are one of our main activities designed to serve divers at our fully self contained a PADI License on our resort with its impressive swimming pool and garden of tropical nature.

The resident dive staff at Coral Grand Divers number 5 persons from all over the world: 2 Danes, 1 Swede, 1 Dutchman and 1 Englishman. Together we are able to teach in more than 6 different tongues and have material available in even more languages.


We recommend you to learn in the language you find easiest, keep in mind however that most places English is most widely spoken and knowing the terms in that language can be helpful. In fact we recommend you to take the course in English and have the materials (manuals, quizzes and exams) in your own tongue.
