About the hotel:
WE ARE NOT SATISFIED, WE GOT A ROOM WHO IS NOT COMPLETED AND WE HAWE TO PAY 10000 BATH MORE. AC TAKE THEM TWO DAYS TO FIX, CLEANING ONE TIME AT 7 DAYS. WATER WAS BROKEN FOR ONE DAY. THE ELECTRICITY COME AND GO ALL THE TIME.

About the hotel:
A very nice and comfy bungalow with lots of space and all the necessary equipment (A/C, mini-fridge, TV...) The hotel staff was more than nice and all my requests were fulfilled, including the incredibly beautiful honeymoon decoration of our room for proposing to my girlfriend. Also all the other requests were fulfilled in about 2-3 minutes, like me calling the front desk about renting a motorcycle for 3 days. A guy at the front desk parked the motorcycle in the front of my bungalow in about 5 minutes after the phonecall was over. No extra fees were even added, so the price was the same than in all places that rented the motorcycles. Like I was expecting, the a la carte breakfast was just ok , and very similar to other bungalow hotels breakfast on these smaller islands, so if you like to eat lots of breakfast, it s not gonna happen with just one breakfast coupon. If/when we visit Ko Lanta again, it s 100% sure we ll pick Lanta Garden Hill Resort again, since this is a place where they REALLY care about their customers needs. Mr. Tony and the rest of the friendly staff - thank you so much for making our 3 days something to remember always. Oh, and she said yes ! ;)

About the hotel:
We had a beach front bungalow with a perfect location. A small bar few metres from the beach and massage huts. All with very nice staf! The room standards is not what you get for the same money in bangkok.Without exagerating the breakfast was not good by any means!

About the hotel:
For the price we paid, the hotel was great. We booked two of the three beachfront villas, and they were very clean and comfortable. The staff especially were brilliant - my father was very ill during our week at the resort, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. We did have a few issues though. The villas themselves are lovely, however the en-suite bathrooms left much to be desired, and there is a beachfront bar on the grassy patch directly in front of the villas which stayed open (with music playing) until after 1 am every evening. Also the website claims the hotel restaurant is split into two sections, hill and beach. Unfortunatly the second beach restaurant is no longer in use, though the very run-down building is still there. Booking the beachfront villas, we had obviously hoped to make use of the beachfront restaurant, but of course had to use the smaller restuarant on the hill (the website is incorrect - looking at the remains of the beach restuarant, this one must have been the section they refer to as the main restaurant with the panoramic view to the sea , as the hill restaurant is a lot smaller with a very uninspiring view of the main road). We also had a problem with the surrounding area. The resort itself is lovely and clean, but there is a construction site directly next door, a horrible, muddy road leading from the main hotel down to the villas, and various old shacks, chickens, cows scattered in between. But like I said, for the price - perfect.

About the hotel:
Stayed in Beachfront Thai Villa. Located directly on the beach but 300 m from the resort. The 3 villas are really nice, clean and comfortable but there is no light on the access road and it can be really dirty. Overall a good place to stay

Getting to Ko Lanta :
Ko Lanta is easy and inexpensive to reach from Phuket, Bangkok or Malaysia . The island is serviced by passenger ferries from both Krabi & Phi Phi and car ferries from the mainland. Krabi is the most convenient gateway to Ko Lanta if coming from Bangkok, and if arriving from Phuket passage is via either Phi Phi or Krabi. Trang also serves as a regional transit point for those coming in from the south. Please bear in mind that if your arrival time is late in the day, the local minibus or public passenger ferries scheduled for Ko Lanta may not always be available.

Ferry Timetable : Starting from November through until April boats leave twice daily from Klong Chi Lard Pier, about 5 kilometres outside of Krabi town. Please note that the old Chao-Fa Pier in Krabi Town itself is no longer used. The boats arrive in Saladan on the northern tip of Ko Lanta about 2 hours later

Van Timetable : Trang is only the access point to Ko Lanta with the distance about 140 kilometers and takes approximately 2 hours by minivan, including passage on the two car ferries. A public minivan service operates throughout the year, with buses leaving daily during 10:00 to 15:30 on every one hour. The minivan station is within a tour office opposite the train station.

Krabi minivan are also available whole year. All people use this transport to access to Ko Lanta during low season (when ferry stop running). The service run daily and spend about two hours included acrossing two car ferries
