PROGRAM:
07:30 am. depart from your
hotel in Chiang Mai by local truck to a small charming town of Phrao
(north of Chiang Mai). Start with a market tour to get some
introduction and exploration of local vegetable, fruits and
ingredients. Then, proceed to the Khum Lanna. Late morning, arrived
at Khum Lanna and be greeted by local Lanna people.
Tasty herbal tea or fruit
juice welcome drink from the fruitful garden around Khum Lanna.
Enjoy preparation for lunch. Start by a garden tour around the
house; collecting different seasonal herbs, vegetables, and fruits
for cooking. Learning how to ride a water buffalo and do the actual
riding.
Prepare and cook your
selection from the garden.
The course includes:
- Introduction to Thai ingredients - Comprehensive and easy to follow recipe book - Eating all foods prepared - The demonstration and cooking of 5 dishes - Tour of the herb garden - Seasonal fruit tasting
Lunch as you have prepared.
Afternoon, start Thai dessert that you can test and take away. Take
a cycling tour to visit Aui Kham house, experiencing traditional
curing and herbal medicine processing for local people by Aui Kham
(more than 60 years experience). Biking back to Khum Lanna. Trip
ended at approx. 17:00 hrs. Then, transfer back to Chiang Mai.
